high altitudes.
Naturalorpropane/LP Gas:
Natural orpropane/LPgasisodorless.
Anodor-making agent is added to
natural or propane/LPgas.The odor
helpsyou detect anatural or propane/
LPgasleak.However, theodoradded
tonaturalor propane/LPgascan fade.
Natural orpropane/LP gasmaybe
present even though no odor exists.
WARNING:Donot use anyac-
cessorynotapprovedforuse with

7.Donot run heater

vaporsareused or stored.

turnheateroff. If heated, the vapors
fromtheseproductsmaycreateawhite
powder residue within burner boxor
on adjacent wallsand furniture.
9. Before installingina solid fuelburning
fireplace,thechimneyflueandfirebox
mustbe cleanedofsoot, creosote, ashes
andloosepaintbyaqualifiedchimney
cleaner.Creosotewilligniteif heated.
Inspect chimneyflue for damage.
10. Donot useheater ifanypart has
been under water. Immediatelycall a
qualified service technician toinspect
the roomheater and toreplaceanypart
of the control system, and anygas
control, whichhasbeen under water.
11.Turnoff and let cool before
servicing. Onlyaqualified service
person should service and repair
heater.
12. Operating heater aboveelevations
of 4,500 feet could causepilot outage.
13. If fireplacehasglass doors, never
operatethisheater withglass doors
closed. If you operateheater withdoors
closed, heat buildup inside fireplacewill
cause glass toburst. If fireplace
opening hasventsat the bottom, you
must open the ventsbeforealways
operateheater withglass doors.fully
open.
14.Thislog heateris designedto be
smokeless.Iflogseverappearto be
smoking, turnoff heaterand call aquali-
fied serviceperson. NOTE: During initial
operating, slight smoking couldoccurdue
tologcuringandheater burningmanu-
facturing residues.
