GENERAL
1.Readallinstructionsbeforeusingthis
appliance.
2.Thisappliance is hot when inuse. Toavoid
burns, do not letbareskintouch hot surfaces.
Keepcombustible materials, such asfurniture,
pillows, bedding,papers, clothes, and curtains
at least3feet(1m.)fromthefrontof this
appliance.
3.CAUTION: Extreme caution is necessary when
anyheateris usedby ornearchildren orinva-
lids andwhenevertheheater isleftOperating
and unattended.
4.Alwaysunplug heater whennot inuse.
5.Donot operateanyheaterwith adamaged
cord or plug or after theheater malfunctions,
has beendropped or damaged inany manner.
6.Any repairs to this appliance should be carried
out byaqualified service person.
7.Under no circumstances shouldthiselectricfire-
placebemodified. Partshavingtoberemoved
for servicingmustbereplacedprior to operat-
ing this electric fireplace again.
8.Donotuseoutdoors.
9.This heaterisnot intendedfor useinbathrooms,
laundry areasor similar indoor locations.Never
usethis appliance nearabathtubor other wa-
ter container.
10.Do not run cord under carpeting.Do not cover
cord with throwrugs, runners or the like.Arrange
cord away from traffic areas and where it will not
be tripped over.
11.Todisconnect this appliance,turn controls to
theoff position andremove plugfromoutlet.
12.Connect to properly grounded outletsonly.

16.Use this appliance only as described in this
manual. All otherusesnot recommended by the
manufacturer may cause fire,electric shock, or
injury.
17.Avoid the useofanextensioncordbecause it may
overheat and causeafire hazard. However ifyou
must use anextensioncord, the cordshall be
1.0 mm2,1900 Watts.The extension cord must
be athree wire cord with grounding type plug
andcordconnector.

LOCATING YOURELECTRICFIREPLACE
Your new freestandingelectricfireplace may be
installed virtuallyanywhere in yourhome.
However when choosingalocationfor your
newelectric fireplace, ensurethat thegeneral
instructions are followed.For best effect results, install
the electric fireplace out of direct sunlight.

CLEARANCETOCOMBUSTIBLES
ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
A10AMP,220Volt,50Hzcircuitwith aproperly
grounded outlet is required. Preferably, the stove will
beonadedicated circuit.Otherappliancesonthe
same circuitmaycausethe circuit breakerto trip or
the fuse toblow whenthe heateris on operation.
The unit comesstandard with a6’(1828mm)long
threewire cord exitingfrom therear ofthe fireplace.
Plan the installation to avoidthe useof an extension
cord. Ifan extention cord must beused,itmust bea
minumum1.0mm2threewirewithgroundingtype
plug connector and rated no less than 1900 Watts.
WARNING:Electricaloutletwiring
mustcomplywithlocalbuilding
codesandallotherapplicable
regulationstoreducetheriskof
fire, electrical shockandinjury.
WARNING:Donotusethis
fireplaceifanypartof
ithas been
underwater.Immediatelycalla

REPLACINGLIGHTBULBS
This fireplace uses two clear 220 Volt, 60 Watt, E-14 socket
baselightbulbs (small base, chandeliercandle type).The
60Wattbulbsare locatedunder the log set/ember bed. For
convenience, if one ofthebulbs burnsout, it maybeagood
ideatoreplace bothof the light bulbs.
1.Turn offpower to the unitby unplugging the powercord.
2. Let fireplace coolifithas been operating.
3.Remove the two fixing self-tapping screws onthe screen.
Pull the screen upward alittlebit, and then out.
4.Removethetwoscrews thatsecurethe logset inposition.
5.Examine the bulbs to determine which bulbs need to be
replaced.
6. While holding the socket, unscrew the defective bulb (s).
7.Installthenewlight bulb(s)byholdingthesocket
andscrewingthem.
8. Reinstallthe logsetandscreen. Followthe above
procedureinreverseorder.
9. The diameter of the pilot light bulbis5mm. If the pilot
lightbulbneedtobereplaced, followsteps1,2,3,4
above.Then use the pilotlightbulb socketw/wiring
assembly replace the primary pilotpart,and connect
wires according toprimary connection .Then follow
step 8above.

MAINTENANCEOFMOTORS
The motors used onthe fan and flame genera-
tor assembly areprelubricated forextended
bearinglife andrequireno further lubrication.
However, periodiccleaning/vacuuming ofthe
fan/heater unit isrecommended.
WARNING:Make sure that the
poweristurned off before
proceeding.
GLASSINFORMATION
1. Undernocircumstances shouldthisproduct
be operated withmissing or broken glass.
2. Do notstrike or slam theglass.
3. Donot useabrasive cleaners to cleantheglass.
4.Replacement glass isavailable fromthe manu
facturerandreplacementshouldbecarriedout
byaqualifiedserviceperson.
ELECTRICALWIRING DIAGRAM
Anyelectrical repairsor rewiring ofthis unit shouldbe carried outbya licensedelectrician in accordance
withnational and local codes.
If repairingorreplacinganyelectrical componentorwiring,theoriginal wire
routing, color codingand securing location must be followed.

Operating Instructions
Thissection provideseasystep bystep instructions foroperating yourfireplace.
1.Makesure theunitisunplugged from the power source
2.Plug thefireplaceintoa10AMP/220Voutlet. Ifthe cord does notreach, you may usean
extension cord rated for a minimum of 1900watts.
To access the controls, open the bottom of the fireplace at the front of the unit (seeFigure A).
A. MAIN ON/OFF SWITCH
The on/offswitchsuppliespowerto all fireplacefunctions (heater/flame).
B.HEATER THERMOSTATCONTROL
Toadjustthetemperaturetoyourneeds,turn thethermostatcontrol completely clockwiseto turnon
theheater.Whentheroomreachesthe desired temperature,turn thethermostat knob counter
clockwise until you hear aclick. Leave it in thispositionto maintain the roomtemperature at this
setting. For additional heat, turn clockwise until you hear the click again andthe heater will turn on.
Toturnthe heater off,switchtheHEATERON/OFFSWITCH tothe OFF position.
C.HEATERON/OFF SWITCH
TheHEATERON/OFF SWITCH supplies power tothe heaterfanandthe heater element.
NOTE:Whenswitched ON, the heater fanwilloperate.Theheater elementmayormay not be
on,depending onthe thermostatcontrol setting(see “HEATER THERMOSTATCONTROL”).
Whenthe HEATER/FAN pilot lightis lighting,it indicatethat the heater ison.
Warning:During any service of thisappliance,the power tothe unitmust be turnedoff. It is
notacceptabletousethe “ON/OFF”switchtomeetthisrequirement.(Refer tooperating
instruction section)
D. INSTRUCTIONS FOR POWER
This heaterisforuse on220voltsonly. The green/yellowgroundinglugextendingfromthe adapter
must beconnectedto a permanent groundsuch as a properlygrounded outletbox. The adapter
should notbeusedif athree-slotgroundedreceptacle isavailable.
