SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS
When installing and using your Progressive Bed product, basic safety precautions should always be followed. Please read
all instructions thoroughly before using. Apply all other relevant precautions when operating electrical devices and moving
mechanisms.
DANGER – To reduce the risk of electric shock, always unplug the base from the electrical outlet before cleaning or
servicing.
WARNING – To reduce the risk of burns, fire, electric shock, or injury to persons:
Never operate this furnishing if the cord or plug has been damaged, is not working properly, or has been in
contact with water.
Keep the cord away from heated surfaces.
To disconnect, turn off all controls and adjust to a flat position, then remove the plug from the electrical outlet.
Never operate this furnishing with the air openings blocked. Keep free of lint, hair, and other potential hazards.
Never drop or insert any object into any opening.
Close supervision is necessary when this furnishing is used by/near children or those with certain disabilities.
Do not allow any person or animal under the adjustable bed at any time.
Store the remote control out of children’s reach when not in use.
Only use indoors.
During operation, make sure the user’s entire body is positioned within the confines of the bed. Do not place
extremities over the sides of the bed when operating the bed.
Do not operate where aerosol (spray) products are being used, near explosive gases, or where oxygen is being
administered.
Using the adjustable bed with oxygen administering equipment, other than the nasal mask type, creates a
possible fire hazard.
Use caution when having liquids in or around the adjustable bed to ensure no spilling occurs. In case of spillage,
unplug the bed immediately and move it to a dry, cle the spill and allow the area to
dry thoroughly before using the electric controls again.
Do not eat or drink hot liquids while operating the adjustable bed.
Use this furnishing only for its intended use as described in these instructions. Do not use attachments that are
not recommended by the manufacturer.
Operating Notes
Moving Parts
It is advisable that children and pets are vacated from the area before operating the adjustable bed. Ensure all moving
parts are free of obstruction.
Weight Restriction
The electrical and mechanical components must be operated within the specified weight limit, and the weight must be
evenly distributed over the frame. The individual sections of the adjustable bed are not designed to support or lift this
weight. Exceeding the weight restriction may cause injury. It may also damage the product and void the warranty.
Warranty
Opening or tampering with the components and operating outside of the advertised usage limitations will void the
warranty.
Operation Time
The electrical and mechanical components must be operated within the specified operation time and frequency.
Exceeding this rating will shorten the life expectancy of the adjustable bed and will void the warranty.
Not for Hospital Use
This Progressive Bed product is designed for household use only. It is not designed for hospital use and is not designed
to meet hospital standards.

Two people are required to install the adjustable bed. Please contact our customer service team for missing or damaged
components, as well as installation and troubleshooting.
Step 1: Prepare for Assembly
Before discarding the packing materials, ensure that all the parts required are included by reviewing the Parts List. Lay the
adjustable bed, bottom-side up, on a clean and smooth surface.
Step 2: Control System Inspection
Ensure all components are connected to the Control
Box (located underneath the adjustable bed) as shown
in the diagram.

Step 3 (optional): Install the Headboard Brackets (sold separately)
NOTE: Some adjustable bed configurations may not be compatible with the Headboard Brackets – refer to ‘Step 4:
Adjustable Bed Base Options’ for more details.
Step 3A: Identify the Left and Right Headboard Bracket assembly parts
Pair the bracket assembly parts according to the diagram.

Step 3C: Install both of the Headboard Bracket assemblies
Place the Headboard Bracket assemblies on the head-side of the adjustable bed frame, according to the diagram below.
Each bracket has two slots for mounting to the adjustable bed frame that will match with two holes on the adjustable bed
frame. Use the holes closer to the center to mount the Headboard Bracket assemblies. The other hole on the adjustable
bed frame is for the Adjustable Legs. Attach each component based on the hardware shown below.
NOTE: Do not tighten. Adjustability is required for a later step.

Step 5 (optional): Install the Adjustable Legs
Install the six Adjustable Legs (3”, 6”, or 3” + 6”) by hand onto the adjustable bed frame, on the locations shown in the
diagram below. Ensure the rubber feet are installed on the bottom of the completed Adjustable Leg assemblies.
Step 6 (optional): Install the Bed Slat Brackets (sold separately)
Step 6A: Install the Frame Brace Seat on the Frame Brace
Attach a Frame Brace Seat by hand on each end of the four Frame Braces.

Step 6C: Position the adjustable bed on the bed frame slats
Carefully flip the adjustable bed upright while it is on the floor. Carry the adjustable bed and position it on top of your
existing bed frame slats.
Step 6D: Prepare for movement
Complete ‘Step 7: Connect the system to a power source’ and ‘Step 8: Setup Wireless Remote’ Steps 8 and 9, then
resume with the following step. This will allow operation of the adjustable bed which is necessary for mounting
determining clearances required for installation.
Step 6E: Adjust position on bed frame slats
Use the Wireless Remote up/down adjustment buttons to slowly operate the adjustable bed through its entire range of
motion, while monitoring for any obstructions. Reposition the adjustable bed on the bed frame slats as necessary if there
are any obstructions.
Once the ideal position is found, command the adjustable bed to the most upright position to allow easier access to the
Bed Slat Brackets for the following steps.

Step 6B: Install the Frame Brace on the adjustable bed frame
Install the four Frame Brace Assemblies on the locations shown on the diagram below.

Step 6G: Install Bed Slat Brackets
Install a Bed Slat Bracket on each of thefour Frame Braces (usingthehole selectedin ‘Step 6F: Select the Bed Slat
Bracket mounting hole on the Frame Brace’).

Step 6F: Select the Bed Slat Bracket mounting hole on the Frame Brace
Each of the Frame Braces has two holes for mounting the Bed Slat Brackets. Select the hole which will allow the Bed Slat
Brackets to be positioned in a way that it completely straddles the bed frame slat. This will allow for a later step of adding
bolts to either side of the bed frame slat as shown in the diagram.

Step 7: Connect the System to a Power Source

Step 6H: Secure the Bed Slat Brackets to the bed frame slats
Use the Bed Slat Plates to secure each of the four Bed Slat Brackets onto your existing bed frame slats. Select the Bed
Slat Plate mounting hole that will allow it to straddle the entire bed frame slat width.

Step 8: Setup the Wireless Remote
Use the 3 x AAA Batteries provided. Please wait 30 seconds after the system is powered on before operating. If the
Wireless Remote is not working, refer to the ‘Troubleshooting’ section.
Step 9: Install the Mattress Retainer Bar
Install the Mattress Retainer Bar in the foot area of the adjustable bed. Insert Side 1 as illustrated in the diagram, before
inserting Side 2.
Step 10 (optional): King Bed Control Options
Option A: Individual Control
Please note the following about this option:
Operate each adjustable bed completely independently.
Use dedicated Wireless Remotes for each.
You cannot synchronize motion between the two beds.
Not compatible with Bluetooth Smart Control.
Since a King or Split King configuration is comprised of 2 x Twin XL adjustable beds, simply operate them as if they were
two separate beds. Each Twin XL adjustable bed has its own fully independent Control System and Wireless Remote.
If you are proceeding with a Twin XL, please skip all instructions for the King/Split King Configuration and follow the Twin
XL configuration instead.
Option B: King/Split King Configuration
Please note the following about this option:
Can only use 1 x Wireless Remote for both adjustable beds.
Operate the beds individually or synchronously by toggling a switch on the Wireless Remote.
Compatible with Bluetooth Smart Control.

1. Connect the Sync Cord to the ‘Sync’ ports of both Control Boxes.
2. Complete the Reset Procedure – refer to the 'Control Guide'section.
3. Initial Setup is complete.
Switching to a Split King Configuration (individual control)
The Sync Cord does not need to be removed.
1. Remove the Wireless Remote battery cover and toggle the switch to the ‘A’ or ‘B’ position. Each bed will
correspond to either option. Replace the battery cover.
2. Configuration change is complete.
Switching to a King Configuration (synchronized control)
1. Remove the Wireless Remote battery cover and toggle the switch to the ‘P’ position (in the middle of ‘A’ and ‘B’).
Replace the battery cover.
2. Press and hold the ‘FLAT’ button on the Wireless Remote until:
a. Both adjustable beds are in a completely flat position.
b. Both adjustable beds produce a BEEP sound. It may sound like one BEEP if both beds reach the flat
position at the same time.
3. Configuration change is complete.
Step 11 (optional): Install the Headboard Bracket to the headboard (sold separately)
Step 11A: Install the Headboard Bracket
Ensure ‘Step 3 (optional): Install the Headboard Brackets (sold separately)’ is fully complete. Commanding the adjustable
bed to its most upright position will allow for easier access in the following steps.
Step 11B: Position the T Bracket
Ensure the T Bracket connection to the Headboard Bracket Mount is loose as further adjustments are necessary. Ensure
the Headboard Bracket Mount connection to the adjustable bed frame is loose as further adjustments are necessary.
Each T Bracket has six slotted holes to attach to your existing headboard. Adjust the T Bracket position so that at least
two screws or bolts can be installed through any of the six slotted holes to a secure part of your headboard.

Initial Setup

Step 11C: Attach the T Bracket to the headboard
Use at least two screws per T bracket to firmly attach to a secure part of your existing headboard. Due to the wide variety
of headboard thicknesses and materials, hardware for installing to existing headboards is not included. Please select a
screw or bolt that best suits your existing headboard.
Step 11D: Reposition the bed
1. While the Headboard Bracket assemblies are not fully tightened, command the bed to move its entire range of
motion while checking for any interference.
2. There must be no interference throughout the entire range of motion. Adjust the brackets if necessary.
3. Tighten all the hardware on the Headboard Bracket Mounts and T Brackets.
4. Once again, command the bed to move its entire range of motion while checking for contact.
Reset Procedure
Twin XL/Queen Configuration
King/Split King Configuration
1. Unplugthesystemfrom the power
source.
2. Wait 60 seconds.
3. Plug back into power source.
4. Complete ‘Wireless Remote
Pairing’ – refer to the ‘Control
Guide’ section.
5. Reset Procedure is complete.
1. Unplugthesystem(both adjustable beds) from the power source.
2. Wait 60 seconds.
3. Plug backinto power source.
4. Complete ‘WirelessRemote Pairing’ – refer to the ‘Control Guide’
section.
5. Remove theWirelessRemote battery cover andtoggle the switch
to the‘P’ position (in themiddle of ‘A’ and ‘B’). Replace the
battery cover.
6. Pressand hold the‘FLAT’ button on the WirelessRemote until:
a. Both adjustable beds are in a completely flat position.
b. Both adjustable beds produce a BEEP sound.
c. Both adjustable beds may BEEP at thesametime if they
reach the flat positionat the same time. In this case,
simply hold the‘FLAT’ buttonfor another 5 seconds to
ensure Reset is completed.
7. Reset Procedure is complete.
Wireless Remote Pairing
NOTE: Each adjustable bed can be paired with 1 x Wireless Remote. Pairing new remotes will unpair previous remotes.

Leg Up
Within 30 seconds of powering the system, press and hold the Head Up button and Leg Up button on the Wireless
Remote until you hear a BEEP sound from the Control Box.

Wireless Remote
Please wait 30 seconds after powering the system on before operation.
Remote Button Illumination
Any button press will turn on illumination for 10 seconds.
Adjustment Buttons
Hold the button until the desired position is achieved.
Head Up/Down: Raises and lowers the head section of the
adjustable bed.
Leg Up/Down: Raises and lowers the leg section of the adjustable
bed.
Remote One-touch Positions
Press the button once to initiate command. To cancel, press any other
button.
Anti-Snore: Raises the head to promote easier breathing.
Zero Gravity: Raises the head to promote easier breathing.
Elevates legs to promote blood circulation which may help with
stress and fatigue.
Flat: Flattens the adjustable bed.
Storing a Memory Position
1. Use the Adjustment Buttons to achieve a desired position.
2. Press and hold the desired Memory button until you hear a BEEP
sound from the Control Box.
3. Memory Position programming is complete.
Recall a Memory Position
Press the desired Memory button once to initiate command. To cancel,
press any other button.
Bluetooth Smart Control (adapter sold separately)
IMPORTANT: Ensure QR code stickers provided with the Bluetooth Adapter are stored in a secure manner as they are
the only method for pairing to each unique device. We advise that a sticker be applied to the Bluetooth Adapter and/or
Control Box before operation.
Twin XL/Queen Configuration
1. Connect the Bluetooth Adapter to theControl Box port labelled ‘APP’.
2. Complete the Reset Procedure – refer to the ‘Control Guide’ section.
3. Install the Progressive Automations Smart Home application on your device through AppStore (iOS) or Google
Play Store (Android).
4. Follow instructions on the Smart Homeapplication to complete setup.

King/Split King Configuration
1. Identify the Control Box where the Quadruplex Connector sideof the Sync Cord is connected to.
a. Quadruplex Connector: 4 x wires are visible at the end of the Sync Cord.
b. Triplex Connector: 3 x wires are visible at the endof the Sync Cord.
2. Connect the Bluetooth Adapter to this Control Box ‘APP’ port.
3. Complete the Reset Procedure – refer to the ‘Control Guide’ section.
4. Install the Progressive Automations Smart Home application on your device through AppStore (iOS) or Google
Play Store (Android).
5. Follow instructions on Smart Home applicationto complete setup.
Battery Lock Wire (operation during power outage)
The adjustable bed may be operated for a short period using 2 x 9V batteries (not included) using the Battery Lock Wire.
1. Disconnect the Power Supply from the DC Power Cord.
2. Connect the Battery Lock Wire to the DC Power Cord.
3. Install 2 x 9V batteries on the Battery Lock Wire.
4. Wait for 30 seconds before starting the adjustable bed operation.
