Release the Tension in the Chair
1. Place the chair on its back.
2. Remove two (2) screws
holding the plate in place.
3. Remove bolt with washer from
chair frame (3a). Remove other
bolt with washer from chair frame
(3b).

4. Place the chair onto the floor
as shown.
5. Remove the two (2) screws
holding the plate in place.
6. Remove the foam filler (6a).
Remove bolt with washer from
chair frame (6b). Remove other
bolt with washer from chair frame
(6c).
7. Place chair upright.

3. When installing the new back fabric, there will be
tension from the two (2) back rods. This is normal.
Secure one end of back fabric to back rod (3a). Pull
on the other end of the back fabric, while pushing
inward on the other rod (3b). Place back fabric onto
seat rod.
Back Fabric Replacement
1. Place chair upright. Slide seat frames
toward center of chair. A rubber mallet
can be used for this step.
2. Using two (2) hands, gently pull
upward on the back fabric to remove.

4. Using two (2) hands, gently slide back fabric
downward.
If you have completed the replacements in this
chair, go to 'Add the Tension into the Chair'.

Seat Fabric Replacement
1. Using two (2) hands, gently pull upward and
forward on the seat fabric (1a). Continue to push
seat fabric rearward (1b) and eventually remove
seat fabric by pulling underneath seat frame (1c).

2. When installing the new seat fabric, there will be tension
from the two (2) seat rods. This is normal. Secure one end
of seat fabric to seat rod (2a). Pull on the other end of the
seat fabric, while pushing inward on the other seat rod (2b).
Pull seat cover forward as shown (2c and 2d). Pull front of
seat cushion downward (2e).
If you have completed the replacements in this chair, go to
'Add the Tension into the Chair'.

Seat/Back Frame Assembly
Replacement for Sled Base
or 4-Leg Base
1. The back fabric and seat fabric must
be removed in order to replace the frame.
To remove the back fabric perform step
2 on page 4.
To remove the seat fabric perform step 1
on page 5.
2. Turn the seat/back frame assembly
90 degrees counterclockwise (2a) and pull
the seat/back frame assembly forward to
remove (2b). Repeat for the other
seat/back frame assembly.
3. To reassemble chair, reverse steps 2a
and 2b.
4. To install the back fabric perform
steps 3 and 4 on page 4.
To install the seat fabric perform step 2
on page 6.
Go to 'Add the Tension into the Chair'.

Add the Tension into the Chair
1. Place the chair on its back as shown.
2. Insert the bolt with a washer into the right hand side of
the chair frame (2a). Install the bolt at least 1/2 way in (2b).
3. Place the chair onto the floor as shown.
4. Insert the bolt with a washer into the right hand side of
the chair frame (4a). Install the bolt at least 1/2 way in (4b).

5. Place the chair on its back as shown.
6. Insert the bolt with a washer into the left hand side of the
chair frame until you have tightened the bolt completely. Now
tighten the bolt on the right hand side completely.
7. Place the chair onto the floor as shown.
8. Insert the bolt with a washer into the left hand side of the
chair frame (8a) until you have tightened the bolt completely.
Now tighten the bolt on the right hand side completely. Install
the foam filler (8b).

9. Flip the seat fabric with the plate over and align the
holes in the plate with the holes in the chair frame.
10. Insert two (2) screws through the holes in the plate
and into the chair frame.
11. Place the chair on its back as shown.
12. Place the back fabric with the plate onto the chair frame and
align the holes in the plate with the holes in the chair frame.
13. Insert two (2) screws through the holes in the plate and into
the chair frame.
