1. Read these instructions – All the safety
and operating instructions should be read
before this product is operated.
2. Keep these instructions – The safety and
operating instructions should be retained
for future reference.
3. Heed all warnings – All warnings on the
appliance and in the operating instructions
should be adhered to.

use instructions should be followed.
5. WARNING: do not immerse in water.
6. Do not expose i-20 and the AC/DC adapter
to dripping or splashing. Do not place
objects filled with liquids, such as a vase,
on or near i-20 and the AC/DC adapter.
7. The AC/DC adapter is used as disconnect
device and must be easily accesible during
normal use. To completely disconnect the
power from i-20, remove the adapter from
the mains.
8. Keep away from naked flames.
9. Use only in temperatures between 0°C
– 40°C.
10. Clean only with dry cloth.
11. Install in accordance with the
manufacturer’s instructions.
12. Do not install near any heat sources such
as radiators, stoves, or other apparatus that
produce heat.
13. Only use attachments and accessories
specified by the manufacturer.
14. Unplug the apparatus during lightning
storms or when unused for long periods
of time.
15. Do not use the mains adapter outdoors.
16. Cease use immediately if apparatus
exhibits any signs of mechanical damage,
excessive temperature, swelling or splitting.
17. To reduce the risk of electric shock, do
not remove cover as there are no user-
serviceable parts inside. Refer servicing to
qualified personnel.
18. Servicing is required when the apparatus
has been damaged in any way, such as
power supply cord or plug is damaged, or
the apparatus does not operate normally, or
has been dropped.
19. Respect the environment. Dispose of
electrical components and batteries
responsibly and in accordance with your
local laws and regulations.
Remote control and battery care:
Do not expose the remote control or battery to
excessive heat, such as direct sunlight or fire.
CAUTION: Danger of explosion if battery is
incorrectly replaced.
Replace battery according to instructions, and
only with the same or equivalent battery type.

About i-20
i-20 produces hi-fi quality audio from high bitrate tracks on
your iPod or iPhone by extracting the raw digital audio and
processing it on the dock itself, using PURE Clearsound
digital end-to-end technology for its digital output and
a superior 24-bit 192 KHz digital-to-analogue converter
(DAC) for its analogue output. Also supporting video out
via composite, component and S-Video connections, i-20
is an excellent way to enjoy your personal music and video
collection.
Before using i-20, we recommend that you update your iPod or
iPhone software to the latest version.

iPod/iPhone compatibility
i-20 is compatible with the following iPod and iPhone models. For the

Dock your iPod or iPhone
Connect the mains power adapter to the 7.5V DC socket
on the rear of i-20 (see page 7), plug into the mains and
switch on.
To dock your iPod or iPhone, place it over the connector
and push down firmly. When correctly docked, your iPod
or iPhone will begin charging. The padded seat of the
dock helps hold it securely in place.
When some iPod/iPhone models are docked, volume controls on
the iPod/iPhone are disabled. Adjust volume with the i-20 remote.

Using the remote control
Using the remote
When using the i-20 remote, make sure it is aimed at the
receiver on the front of i-20 (see illustration).
To replace the remote battery
The i-20 remote uses a single CR2025 battery. To replace
it, turn the remote over and carefully slide open the rear
compartment. Place the new battery (positive side up) in
the compartment and slide it back into the remote.

Switch i-20 on or into standby.
Menu
iPod: step back through menus
iPhone: return to playlist, then
cycle through menus.

Troubleshooting
Video is not playing
Check that you are viewing the correct source on your TV or monitor.
You can usually cycle through these using your TV remote or monitor
control panel.
Check that i-20 is outputting the correct signal. Use the Video button
on your remote to switch between component/S-Video and composite
video output.
Video suffers from interference
Ensure that the video cable is connected. When using the component
or S-Video cable, there should be an audible click when correctly
inserted into i-20.
We recommend only having one video cable inserted at any time, as
unused cables can cause minor interference with the signal.
Audio is not playing
Check that your receiver or amplifier is set to the correct source input.

A propos d'i-20
i-20 produit un son de qualité hi-fi à partir des pistes à haut
débit de votre iPod ou iPhone en extrayant le son numérique
brut et en le traitant directement au niveau de la station
d'accueil à l'aide de la technologie numérique de bout en
bout Clearsound de PURE pour sa sortie numérique et
au moyen du convertisseur numérique/analogique (DAC)
de 24 bits et 192 KHz pour sa sortie analogique. Servant
également de support vidéo via les connexions composite,
composante et S-vidéo, i-20 est un excellent moyen pour
profiter de vos musiques et vidéos personnelles.
Avant d'utiliser i-20, nous vous recommandons d'installer la
