I. Introduction
Dear customer,
Thank you for purchasing the PUR Quick 6 UF water filtration system.
The water filter you acquired is one of the most efficient and practical water
treatment unit available on the market today. In order to ensure a proper
functioning of the water filtration system, please study these operating
instructions carefully before the first start-up.
II. Packing List
1. 1x Main unit
2. 1x Bag with accessories: connection- and fitting kit, 2 x 1 m water tube,
4x Safety clips
3. 1x Installation manual
4. 1x Faucet with connection material
III. Introduction to the main functions
Water filtration system
1. Step: PP 10 micron cartridge for filtration of sediments like sand,
volatile substances, rust, dust etc.
2. Step: GAC activated carbon granulate water filter for reduction of
chlorine, bad taste and smell, pesticides, insecticides etc.
3. Step: CTO 5 micron carbon block cartridge for filtration of fine
sediments and reduction of chlorine, volatile organic compounds,
solvents etc.
4. Step: UF 0,02 micron ultrafiltration cartridge for filtration of very fine
residual sediments, medicine residues, hormones, harmful bacteria
and the majority of viruses
5. Step: RFC anti lime-scale cartridge reduces the total hardness of
the water
6. Step: T33 Inline carbon postfilter. Last stage for the improvement of
the smell and taste

Configuration options:
For additional protection against viruses, bacteria and other organic
pollutants the system can be equipped with a UV filter system 12W as a
germ block.
IV. Main functions
The PUR Quick 6 UF water filtration system provides a complex solution in
the event of contaminated water in offices and households. The standard
set of cartridges the filter is fitted with purifies the water and removes such
contaminants as sand, rust, suspended materials, chlorine and organic
substances. It also removes a variety of bacteria and viruses and lowers
the water hardness (medium water hardness to a maximum of 14 dH°).
The hollow fibre membrane UF consists of fibres (capillaries). In the
capillaries’ walls there are small channels whose diameters are smaller
from the outside to the inside of the fibres. Larger particles of dirt are held
on the surface of the capillaries (surface filtration), the smaller particles
penetrate the inside of the channels until they reach the smallest pores
(deep filtration).
Capillary filtration is an efficient alternative to reverse osmosis
filtration. The filtration process enables the elimination of 99.8% of harmful
substances such as micro-organisms, bacteria and viruses in the water
without removing the trace elements necessary for the body. Therefore
important minerals remain in the water and the conductivity will not be
lowered!
V. Assembly Instructions
We recommend to carry out the installation by a specialist. If you are
installing the system yourself, please follow exactly the steps below:
A Preparation of installation
1. Determine the location for assembling Quick 6 (pay attention to the
ambient conditions)
2. Have the following tools ready: wrench –drilling machine –drills 12
mm –lock saw (high speed steel or marble saw) –cross and flat
screwdriver–scissors –16 mm and 14 mm wrenches –long-nose
pliers.
3. Make sure you have also ready all the necessary connection
components
4. Turn off the water supply before starting the installation.
ATTENTION: To open the tube quick connection, please press the small
locking ring inwards. Hold it down and pull out the tube.
For mounting, insert the tube into the coupling as far as possible and
secure it by pulling out the hose slightly to activate the circlip.
B. Installation des Wasserfiltersystems
1. Close the inlet valve and unscrew the metal hose. Connect one end of
the supplied 3-way sleeve to the water outlet valve. Tighten the other
end of the unscrewed metal hose with the 3-way sleeve´s nut (pict. 4).
.

2. Take the supplied water-in ball valve and wrap one end with Teflon tape.
Moisten the valve with silicone spray and screw it into the thread of the
3-way water inlet socket provided for this purpose (pict. 5). Cut the
supplied tube with scissors to the desired length. Connect one end of
the tube to the water-in ball valve and tighten it with the nut. Connect
the other end to the water inlet of the first filter of the unit.
3. Drill a hole of 6 mm in the drain pipe. Cut the supplied 6 mm tube with
scissors to the desired length and place one end into the drilled hole.
Seal the hole with silikon gel. Fasten the waste water hose on the drain
pipe with a cable tie or a hose clip.
4. Drill a hole of 12 mm in the sink where you want to place the faucet.
Take the supplied faucet, put the neck of stainless steel on the faucet
body and countersink the faucet into the provided drilled hole. From
below put a washer and tighten it firmly with the nut. Cut the supplied 6
mm tube with scissors to the desired length. Insert the supplied 6 mm
plug into one end of the tube and fasten it with the nut on the cold water
inlet.
5. Open the faucet and fill the unit with water. Check the tightness of all
connections. In the beginning it is possible that the water is a little dark
and some coal dust can escape from the activated carbon block. This is
absolutely harmless and the water will be clear after a few minutes.

VI. Maintenance and care
To guarantee an excellent quality of your filtered water, the cartridges have
to be replaced regularly. The service life of the individual cartridges varies
depending on the quality of the input water. On average, a family of three
has a daily water consumption of about 10 litres of drinking water. The
filters should therefore be replaced as follows:
Step 1 –PP 10 micron cartridge every. 3 - 6 months
Step 2 –GAC activated carbon granulate water filter every. 3 - 6 months
Step 3 –CTO 5 micron carbon block cartridge every. 3 - 6 months
Step 4 –UF 0,02 micron ultrafiltration cartridge every. 6 - 12 months
Step 5 –RFC anti lime-scale cartridge every. 3 - 6 months
Step 6 –T33 Inline carbon postfilter. every. 3 - 6 months
It is necessary to replace the cartridges when the following situations
occur:
1. The quality of pure water deteriorates and the taste changes
2. The volume of pure water decreases noticeably or the pressure
loss is about 0.5 bar higher than at the beginning of the initial
installation.
Attention!
1. We recommend to carry out the installation by a specialist, as a
drill and other power tools are used during assembly. If you are
installing the system yourself, please exactly follow the steps as
described in the manual. Please keep children away from the
appliance.
2. When drilling make sure that there are no water and electrical
lines behind it. The device must be connected to a grounded
power outlet. The power supply must be stored in a well-ventilated
and dry place.
If any of the following situations occur, please disconnect the device
immediately from the water supply (close the inlet water ball valve)
and make a repair:
-if water leaks from the water pipes or other components
-if other faults or leaks occur
In case of damage to the device and/or its components, please contact the
supplier or a technician.
We do not assume any responsibility and liability for losses, damages or
costs resulting from faulty installation, improper operation as well as wrong
use and maintenance
