ormalfunctionsinanymanner.Thiswouldincludedamagetothepowersupplycordorplug,whenever
liquidhasbeenspilledorobjectshavefallenintothedevice,alsowhenthedevicehasbeenexposedtorain
ormoisture,whentheunitceasestooperatenormally,aswhenoriginallypurchased.
Iftheunitislikelytoundergoexcessvibrationthroughuse,yourmustproperlyinstalltheunitsecurelyandtherack
mountablereinforcementbracketsmustbeproperlyfitted.
Damagecausedbyinsufficientsupportisnotcoveredbythewarranty.
Topreventdamagetotheunit'spanels,alwaysuseprotectiveplasticcupsorwashersbeforetighteningmountingbolts.
Ventilationgapsbetweenunitsarenotrequired,howevercaremustbetakentoensurethatanunobstructedfreeflowof
cleanairispossiblefromthebackoftheunittothefront.Itisalsoimportantthatneitherairintakes,frontorsideexhaust
grillesarecovered.Theinternalairflowoftheseunitsaredesignedtominimizethemalfunctionoftheelectronics,and
promotecoolingair,foroptimalandsafeunitoperation.
PLEASENOTE:Usersmustensurethatanytypeofsmokeandrelatedsubstancesarenotallowedtoentertheamplifier.
Smokeyairiscorrosiveandprolongedexposurewillcauseirreparabledamagetoyouramplifier.
Donotexposetheamplifiertorainormoistureduringoperationorstorage.Iftheunitdoescomeintocontactwith
moisture,removetheACpowercordimmediatelyandleaveitinasuitablydryareatodry.Takeprecautionbefore
reconnectingtoapowersupply.
Beawarethatwhenanyequipmentistakenfromacoldtohumidlocation,condensationmayoccurinside.Alwaysallow
timefortheequipmenttoattainthesametemperatureasitsenvironmentbeforereconnectingtoapowersupply.

thisoutletremainscleartoallowunrestrictedairflow
3.ChannelLevelAttenuators
Twoinputattenuatorsadjustlevelfortheirrespectiveamplifierchannels.In
BridgedMonomodes,thechannelAattenuatorcontrolsoverallsignallevel(see
rearpanelmodeswitchdescriptions)
4.ProtectLEDS
RedLEDindicatesthattheampchannelisinProtectmode.DuringPowerup,
theampbrieflygoesintoprotectmodeinordertopreventanyloudspeakers
frombeingoverloaded/exhaustedbythespeakers.Afterafewsecondsthe
ampcomesoutofprotectmodeandisreadyfornormaloperation.Iftheamp
staysinProtectmode,thisindicatesthattheremaybeaprobleminternal
totheamp.IftheampgoesintoProtectmodeduringoperationthisindicates
thateitheraproblemhasoccurredinternallytotheamportheampisbeing
overloaded/exhaustedandneedstocooldown.AfteraProtectcondition,the
ampmustberesetbycyclingthepoweroffandthenonagain.

Ifaveryhighlevelsignalisdrivenintotheamplifier,theoutputsignalwill"CLIP",thatisthe
peaksoftheaudiosignalwaveformwhichwillbeflattered.TheClipLimitercircuitautomatically
reducesthegaintopreventfurtherdamagetotheamplifierandinternalcircuitry.Youcanswitch
theClipLimitercircuitONandOFFviathe(11)switchontherearpanel.Ifyouusefullrange
speakers,theClipLimitercircuitwillreducethehighfrequencydistortionandwillalsoprotect
thehighfrequencydrivers.However,someusersprefertoswitchtheLimiterOFFtogetmore
punchfromKickDrumsandothersoundsinthelowfrequenciesarea.

Inthismode,channelAandchannelBoperateindependently(asanormalstereoamplifier).The
ChannelAinputsignalwillbeoutputfromthechannelAoutputconnector,andchannelBinput

BridgeMode
Inthismode,channelAinputsignalwillbeoutputfromthebridge‐monooutputConnector.
ParallelMonoMode(*Model:PEXA8000)
Inthismode,channelAinputsignalwillbeoutputfromtheoutputconnectorsofbothchannels.

polarityissecuredautomatically,theypreventshockhazardandfeaturelock‐inconnection
securely.Pleasemakesuretorespectthespeakerpolaritywhenusingbindingposts.Caution:
turnofftheunitbeforeconnectinganaudiosignaltothebindingposttoavoidanydamage.

SelectorPleasemakesurethatyourlocalvoltagematchesthevoltageindicatedontheunit.

LiftSwitch
SignalGroundliftswitchisusedtoliftthebalancedinputconnectors'ground/shieldfromthe
amplifier'sground.Whenthesignalgroundislifted,thesoundsourcedisconnectsfromthe
amplifier'sgroundpreventinggroundloopswhichcangeneratehumandnoise.Seethesignal
groundliftswitchinstructionsformoredetail.
18.Power
Connection
Thepoweramplifiermustbeconnectedonlywiththeattachedthree‐wiresafetypowercord
withprotectiveconductor(non‐fusedearthedconductor).Thisamplifierismadeforusewiththe
mainsvoltagelabelledonthebackoftheamplifieronly.Checkthelabelonthebackpanelofthe
amplifierfortheappropriatevoltage.Makesurethevoltageofyourmainsoutletiscorrect.The
powervoltageisfactorysetaslabelledonthebackpanelandcannotbechangeafterwards.
