research,development,andrefinement.Byusingtheprinciplesofforcedhotair
andradiantheat,theQuikn'Crispycanquicklycookandbrownanumberof
"ovenready"conveniencefoods.Thiseasy‐to‐usecountertopgreaselessfryer
safelyandefficientlyeliminatesthehealthconcerns,expense,andoperating
difficultiesinherentwithhotoilcookingprocesses.

BeforetheinstallationofyourQuikn'Crispy®,asuitablepositioninyourretail
locationshouldbeselected.Pointstoconsiderwhenselectingalocationare:
1.Accessibilitybystoreemployees
2.Proximitytocustomers
3.Proximitytorefrigeratorandfreezerequipment
4.Proximitytootherretailpointsofsaletotakeadvantageofcross
merchandisingopportunities
5.Sight‐lineofcustomer(toenhancecustomerperceptionof"fresh"
preparation).
TheQuikn'Crispy®shouldbemountedonasturdyfoodserviceappropriate
table.Stainlesssteelwouldbethepreferablematerial.Allowforacertain
amountofworkspaceneartheQuikn'Crispy®GreaselessFryersothatoperators
willnothavetoworkinaconfinedlocation.Werecommendaminimumof1”or
2.54cm.ofspacebetweentherear,sidesandtopoftheQuikn'Crispy,andthe
walls,ceilingorotherstructuralsurfacesofyourfacility.
Inadditiontosuitablelocations,accommodationmustbemadeforthenecessary

INSTALLATIONPROCEDURES
1.TheweightoftheQuikn’Crispyisapproximately70lb./25kg.Theuse
ofasecondpersonisadvisedforportionsofthisinstallation.
2.Opentheshippingcartonandfoldbacktheshippingcartonflaps.With
theflapsfoldedback,rotatethecartonupsidedownonthefloor.
3.LiftthecartonleavingtheQuikn'Crispy®andthecorrugatedpackingset
inplaceonthefloor.
4.RemovethecorrugatedpackingsetfromaroundtheQuikn'Crispy®.
5.Removethecookingbaskethandle,mountingscrews,andadjustable
legsfromtheOperatorsManualziplockbag.
6.Screwthe4adjustablelegsintothebottomofthefryer.
7.Liftthefryerintopositiononthedesignatedcounter.Again,we
recommendminimumof1”/2.54cm.clearancefromanyadjacent
wallsorequipment.
8.Adjustthelegstobalancethefryeronthedesignatedcounter.
9.Attachthecookingbaskethandletothecookingbasket.A#2Phillips
headscrewdriveranda5/16"wrencharerecommended.
10.Inspecttheseparationwallpanelandlooktoseethatitismounted
properly.Becausethisisafive‐stepprocess,wehaveincludeda
separateinstallationprocedureonpages5to7.Pleaseturntopage5at
thistimeandinstalltheseparationwallpanel.
11.Oncetheseparationwallpanelisinstalled,placethedriptrayontothe
bottomdrawerguides,angleitupwardstoa45°angletoclearthestop
andslideitin.Thistrayshouldslideinfreely.

12.Placethecookingbasketontothedriptray.Thetwopartsshouldnow
slideinandoutofthehot‐airfryerinunison.
13.Atthispoint,besurethattheelectricalbreakerfortheQuikn'Crispy®
GreaselessFryerisinthe"OFF"position.PluginyourQuikn'Crispy®
GreaselessFryer,thenturnthecircuitbreakertothe"ON"position.

Beforeproceeding,makesuretheQuikn'Crispypowerswitchisinthe“OFF”
position(thisistheleftpositionoftheOn/OffSwitch)andthatthefanbloweris
stationaryandthatthecookingchamberandheatingelementarenothot!
1. LifttheRemovableFrontPanel(RFP)thatislocateddirectlyabovethe
CookingBasketbyapplyingslightupwardpressure.Itshouldslideoutatan
upwardangle.
2. PulltheSplashguardoutofthetopofthecookingchamber.Thisisa
formedpieceofstainlesssteelthatislocatedbetweentheheatingelement
andtheceilingoftheinnerchamber.Wheninsertedintothecooking
chamber,thesurfaceofthesplashguardshouldbeincontactwiththe
ceilingofthechamber.Thesplashguardshouldberemoveddailyfor
cleaningwiththeotherremovableitemslocatedintheinnerchamber.

3. TheSeparationWallwaspositionedproperlyintherearoftheinner
chamberofyourQuikn’Crispypriortoshipping.Itisheldinplaceby

gravitywithtwoinverted“U”channelsthatareformedonthebackofthe
SeparationWall,matingwithtwo“U”channeltabsthatarelocatedon
eithersideofthefan(Seepictureabove)ontherearwallofthecooking
chamber.TheSeparationWallcanoftencomeoffthetabsthatholditin
placeduringshipping.Pleasecheckandconfirmthatitisinstalledproperly
byremovingandreplacingtheSeparationWallatthistime.Thephoto
aboveillustrateshowtheseparationwallisinstalled.Itwastakenwiththe
topoffoftheQuikn’Crispyinordertoclearlyshowtheinstallation.Itis
notnecessarytoremovethetoptoaccomplishthisprocedure.
4. PlaceyourhandsoneachsideoftheSeparationWallandliftitstraightup
totheceilingofthechambertoclearthemountingtabs.Pullthe
SeparationWalltowardsyouuntilitmakescontactwiththeHeating
Element.NowpullthebottomoftheSeparationWalloutfirstandangleit
outoftheinnerchamberwiththebottomoftheSeparationWallcoming
outoftheinnerchamberfirst.
5. ReversetheprocessandreinstalltheSeparationWallbygraspingitbythe
sideswithbothhandsandinsertitintothefrontopeningoftheQuikn'
Crispy,enteringthefrontopeningjustabovethetopsetofDripTray
guides.InsertthewallstraightbackintotheQuikn'Crispyuntilyoutouch
therearwallofthecookingchamberkeepingtheSeparationWallparallel
totheflooroftheQuikn'Crispy.
6. AnglethetopportionoftheSeparationWallupwardtowardstheceilingof
theinnerchamberuntilitcomesincontactwiththeceiling.Slidethe
SeparationWallfurtherbackintotheinnerchambersothatitcomesin
contactwiththerearwalloftheinnerchamber.NowlowertheSeparation
WallsothatthetwotabsoftheSeparationWallcatchontothetabsonthe
toprightandleftsidesoftherearwallofthecookingchamber.The
SeparationWallshouldnowbehangingupright,withthebottomofthe
SeparationWallapproximately.25"/.635cmupoffthefloorofthe
cookingchamber.
7. SlidetheSplashguardbackintothetopoftheinnerchamber.Pleasenote
thatthesurfaceofthesplashguardshouldbeclosesttotheceilingofthe
innerchamber.

8. PlacetheRemovableFrontPanelbackontothefrontoftheQuikn’Crispy.
Itwillslidedownatanangleontothefourpinsthatarelocatedonthe
frontoftheunit.
9. PleasenotethatontheINTERNATIONALUNITSONLY,thereisasafety
switchinstalledontherightrearwallofthecookingchamber.Thisswitch
willbedepressedwhentheSeparationWallisproperlyinstalled.Ifthe
Separationisnotproperlyinstalled,thesafetyswitchwillremaininthe
OpenPosition,andthecookingblowerwillnotoperate.Insurethatwhen
theSeparationWallisinstalledthattheflatpartismakingsolidcontact
withtherearwalloftheovenchamberanddepressingthesafetyswitch.

THEINITIALOPERATIONOFYOURQUIKN'CRISPY®
Thefirstoperatingcycleafterinstallationshouldbeaconfirmationofthehot‐air
fryer'sproperworkingorder.Todothis,werecommendthatyoudepressthe
switchtotheright"POWERON"position.ThecontrollershoulddisplaytheQuik
n’Crispylogowiththecaption“TouchtoStart”.
Next,touchthescreenandthenextscreenwilldisplaythe15Recipesthathave
beenpreprogrammedintoyourQuikn’Crispy.Thesesettingsareshownonthe
nextpage:

RECALIBRATINGTHETOUCHSCREEN
TheLCDTouchScreenControlPanelhasbeencalibratedatourfactorypriorto
shippingyourQuikn’Crispy.However,ifyoudeterminethatthecalibrationisn’t
accurate,it’seasytorecalibratethetouchscreen.
1. TurntheQuikn’CrispyonandwaitfortheQuikn’Crispylogoscreento
appear.Usingyourfingerorstylus,holddownonthelogoscreenfor5
secondsuntilyouhearadoublebeep.
2. Thenextscreenwillread“Performingtouchscreencalibration”.Touch
thescreentocontinue.
3. Youwillthenhave4circlesappear,oneatatime,ineachcornerofthe
screen.Pressandreleaseoneachofthefilledcircles.Ifyouaresatisfied
withtheinitialcalibrationthentouchthescreentocontinue.Ifyouwish
todoover,repeattheprocessfromStep1.

manualwillonlyaddresstheSupervisorlevel. Thislevelhasaccesstotherecipe

Togainaccesstotheconfiguration,pressandholdtheareashownbelowinthemainmenulistuntilthe

TheQuikn'Crispycanfry,grill,andbakeawidearrayoffrozen,oven‐ready
productsavailablethroughnormalfoodservicedistributionand
wholesaleclubs.
Toprepare"fried"menuitemsintheQuikn’Crispy,thefoodsselectedmust
haveovenpreparationdirectionslistedonthepackage.Asanexample,egg
rolls,corndogs,beerbatteredortempurabatteredvegetablesandbattered
cheesesticksaretypicallyfryableorbakeable.SeasonedorcoatedFrenchfriesor
potatowedgesarefryableorbakeable.Thesetypesofproductswillcomeoutof
theQuikn'Crispycrispontheoutsideandmoistontheinsideasiftheywere
fried.Toprepareanon‐battered,non‐coated,ornon‐seasonedmenuitem,it
mustbeabakeableversion.ToprepareshoestringorcrinklecutFrenchfries,or
skin‐onpotatowedges,youmustuseabakeableversion.
MenuitemspreparedintheQuikn'Crispythatdonothavebakingdirections
listedonthepackagewilltypicallybesoggyandlimp,andwillnotchangein
colorfromapalewhitetoagoldenbrown.Contactyourfooddistributortoorder
thecorrectversionofthemenuitemtoprepare.Ifthefooddistributor
salespersonisnotsureofthemenuitemsthatcanbepreparedintheQuikn’
Crispy,havethemreviewthe32pagemenufoundinthisOperatorsManual,or
havethemcontacttheQuikn’Crispydistributor,orQNC,Inc.directly.
Topreparebreadeditemssuchaschickennuggetsandchickenstripseithera
pre‐cookedorafullycookedproductmustbeused.Pre‐cookedmeansthatthe
producthasbeenpartiallycooked,ispre‐brownedontheoutside,andthe
interioroftheproductisraw.Fullycookedmeansthattheproductiscookedon
boththeoutsideandtheinterior.Youcannotprepareready‐to‐cookitemsthat
haveawhitebreadingontheoutside.Theywillcook,buttheywillnotturn
goldenbrownintheQuikn'Crispy.
TogrillfoodsintheQuikn'Crispy,youshouldusepre‐cookedorfullycooked
meat,poultry,orfishproducts.Asanexample,hotdogsandsomesausagesare
fullycookedproductsandcouldbeconsumedcoldrightfromthepackage.These
itemswillgrillintheQuikn'Crispywithacharbroiledappearance.Toprepare
grilledchickenbreastsorhamburgers,usefullycookedproducts.Theseproducts

theinside.
TheQuikn'Crispycanbakefrozenpizzasorpreparefreshlymadepizzasusinga
par‐bakedcrust.Pleasenotethatanoptionalpizzabasketisavailable.Please
contactQNCforpricinginformation.Preparehot,open‐facedsandwichesinjust
60to90seconds.Tobakecookies,pastries,ormuffins,lowerthetemperature
settingto350°Fanduseamuffintin,asmallsheetpan,orparchmentpaper.
OptionalPizzaBasket
Pleasenotethefollowinggeneralcookingprocedures:
1.AlwaysspraytheCookingBasketandDripTraywithanaerosolvegetable
shorteningpriortothefirstcookingcycleoftheday,orthefirstcooking
cyclesincecleaning.Donotspraynon‐stickaerosoldirectlyintothe
fryer,orwhilethefryerisoperating.WipeanyexcessoilfromtheDrip
Traywithanabsorbentpapertowelorbartowel.Tohelpreduceany
dragbetweentheDripTrayandTrayGuides,pulltheDripTrayasfar
backaspossible,andrubthetowelwiththeexcessoilontheunderside
ofeachsideoftheDripTray.
2.Removetheproductyouwishtocookfromthefreezerorrefrigerator.
