01 - Li-ion Battery Pack Introduction
A 12 V, 5 Ahr Universal rechargeable Li-ion battery pack for use with Racelogic VBOX products.
A battery pack is especially useful if you cannot access the auxiliary power supply of your car or motorcycle, or if you
want to avoid accidental data loss which can happen when the unit is power cycled before the data has been
transmitted. When using a battery pack with IMU integration, for example, the IMU calibration does not have to be re-run

if the ignition is being temporarily turned off between tests. The battery packs come with different connectors and
charging plugs (AU/EU/US/UK)
Warning
The following safety warnings must be observed at all times:
• To avoid risk of fire, explosion or shock hazard, do not expose the unit to rain or moisture.
• Do not disassemble the battery pack. Doing so could damage the internal battery risking fire or explosion.

02 - Li-ion Battery Pack Charging
Use the supplied AC charger only. Failure to use supplied charger could lead to risk of explosion or fire. Never
leave battery charging unattended.
Before the battery pack is used for the first time, it is important to charge fully for 3 hours:
1. Connect the AC charger to mains wall outlet.
2. Connect the DC out plug of the AC charger to charge jack on the battery pack.
3. Set the ON/OFF switch (underneath battery pack) to the 'ON' position.
Pressing the 'Test' button should cause the battery charge status to be displayed on the LED
gauge. If no LEDs are illuminated, the battery requires charging using the supplied AC adapter.

03 - Li-ion Battery Pack Short Circuit Protection
The battery pack features protection against direct short circuit. If the short circuit protection is
activated, the battery output will be switched off.
To re-instate battery output, set the ON/OFF switch to 'OFF' and then back to 'ON'.

The battery pack contains Lithium-ion cells. Please ensure that it is disposed of at an approved
recycling centre.
