1.1 Appearance
The ISCOM6860 is an xPON integrated Optical Line Terminal (OLT) device. It provides data,
voice, and video service access of large capacity, high speed, and high bandwidth, which fully
meets carriers' requirements on establishing xPON networks with large capacity and few
offices.
Figure 1-1 shows the appearance of the ISCOM6860.

1.2 Structure
The ISCOM6860 adopts a chassis+card modular design, which helps users select the number
and type of uplink/downlink cards freely according to the network scale. In addition, the
ISCOM6860 supports network expansion based on redundant slots and service expansion
based on new service cards.
The chassis provides a high-speed digital backplane bus, 13 slots, and auxiliary parts, such as
the brackets and anti-static jack.
Figure 1-2 shows the chassis structure.

2.1 Features
The FANS381 is a fan module of the ISCOM6860 and its main features are as below:
Provide 6 embedded fans, offering better heat dissipation for cards in the chassis.
Provide an alarm LED and an operating status LED on the front panel. These two LEDs
monitor fan status in real time.
Separate the fan box from the chassis. Therefore, operating services are not affected
when fans are being changed.
Support intelligent speed adjustment based on temperature.
Support manually adjusting rotational speed of fans. Support 8 grades of rotational
speeds.
Support rotational speed feedback.
Support hot swapping. Adopt dual-soft start program.
2.2 Appearance
The FANS381 is placed on the left of the ISCOM6860. Figure 2-1 shows the appearance of
the FANS381.
