IMPORTANTE
Prima di collegare ed utilizzare il microfono, leggere attentamente le istruzioni
contenute in questo manuale, il quale è da conservare per riferimenti
futuri. Il presente manuale costituisce parte integrante del prodotto e deve
accompagnare quest’ultimo anche nei passaggi di proprietà, per permettere
al nuovo proprietario di conoscere le modalità d’installazione e d’utilizzo e le
avvertenze per la sicurezza.
L’installazione e l’utilizzo errati del prodotto esimono RCF S.p.A. da ogni
responsabilità.
AVVERTENZE PER LA SICUREZZA
1. Tutte le avvertenze, in particolare quelle relative alla sicurezza, devono
essere lette con particolare attenzione, in quanto contengono importanti
informazioni.
2. Prima di accendere le apparecchiature, assicurarsi che tutte le
connessioni siano corrette.
3. Accertarsi che il cavo del microfono non possa essere calpestato o
schiacciato da oggetti, al fine di salvaguardarne l’integrità.
4. Non immergere il microfono nell’acqua (od in altri liquidi), non lanciarlo,
non lasciarlo cadere.
5. Non eseguire sul microfono interventi / modifiche / riparazioni; contattare i
centri di assistenza autorizzati nel caso che non funzioni correttamente.
6. Data l’alimentazione “Phantom”, è necessario che il cavo del microfono
sia bilanciato.
7. Nel caso che dal microfono provengano stranamente odori anomali od
addirittura fumo, spegnere immediatamente il sistema audio.
8. Utilizzare solo accessori specifici per microfoni.
9. RCF S.p.A. raccomanda vivamente che l’installazione del sistema audio
sia eseguita solamente da installatori professionali qualificati (oppure
da ditte specializzate) in grado di farla correttamente e certificarla in
accordo con le normative vigenti. Tutto il sistema audio dovrà essere in
conformità con le norme e le leggi vigenti in materia di impianti elettrici.



10. Vi sono numerosi fattori meccanici ed elettrici da considerare quando
si installa un sistema audio professionale (oltre a quelli prettamente
acustici, come la pressione sonora, gli angoli di copertura, la risposta in
frequenza, ecc.).
11. Non puntare il microfono verso un diffusore vicino, onde evitare un
possibile innesco.
12. Perdita dell’udito
L’esposizione ad elevati livelli sonori può provocare la perdita
permanente dell’udito. Il livello di pressione acustica pericolosa per
l’udito varia sensibilmente da persona a persona e dipende dalla durata
dell’esposizione. Per evitare un’esposizione potenzialmente pericolosa
ad elevati livelli di pressione acustica, è necessario che chiunque sia
sottoposto a tali livelli utilizzi delle adeguate protezioni; quando si fa
funzionare un trasduttore in grado di produrre elevati livelli sonori è
necessario indossare dei tappi per orecchie o delle cuffie protettive.
13. I microfoni devono essere collegati in fase in modo da garantire una
corretta riproduzione audio, soprattutto quando sono collocati in
posizione tra loro adiacente o nello stesso ambiente.
14. Per evitare che fenomeni induttivi diano luogo a ronzii, disturbi e
compromettano il buon funzionamento dell’impianto, i cavi microfonici
devono essere schermati e bilanciati e non canalizzati insieme ai
conduttori dell’energia elettrica ed alle linee dei diffusori acustici.
15. Collocare il microfono lontano da fiamme (o fonti di calore eccessivo). Non
usare solventi, alcool, benzina o altre sostanze volatili per la pulitura.



da garantirne l’affidabilità e prestazioni elevate.
DESCRIZIONE
Si tratta di un microfono ad elettrete (cardioide), con flessibile, avente ottime
prestazioni acustiche e progettato per l’impiego in sistemi audio ad indirizzo
pubblico.
E’ provvisto di un interruttore (“LOCK”), un pulsante (“PUSH”), un anello rosso
luminoso che si accende quando il microfono è attivato, un filtro passa-alto
(disinseribile) con frequenza di taglio 100 Hz.
Può essere installato su un tavolo (con o senza foro), un leggio od un’asta da
pavimento (per microfoni).
Necessita dell’alimentazione “Phantom”, pertanto deve essere connesso ad
un ingresso microfonico (di un mixer / preamplificatore) avente una tensione
“Phantom” compresa tra 12 V ÷ 52 V.
INSTALLAZIONE
I. SU TAVOLO (CON FORO)
a. Creare un foro avente diametro 23 mm nella locazione desiderata
(tavolo o leggio).
Lo spessore dalla superficie d’installazione non dovrà essere superiore
a 32 mm.
b. Inserire la parte filettata più lunga della base in una delle 2 guarnizioni
di gomma.
c. Inserire la base attraverso il foro.
d. Sotto il tavolo (/ leggio), mettere la seconda guarnizione di gomma.
e. Dopo aver fissato la guarnizione di gomma, inserire la rondella.
f. Avvitare il dado.
g. Stringere parzialmente il dado.
h. Inserire il cavo attraverso il foro della base e collegarlo al connettore JST
(a 5 poli) del microfono (posto nella parte inferiore).
i. Avvitare il microfono alla base.
j. Verificare la posizione del microfono (gli interruttori devono essere
frontali). Regolare di nuovo la posizione (se necessario), poi stringere il
dado.



II.SU TAVOLO (SENZA FORO)
a. Svitare e togliere la parte inferiore del microfono.
b. Connettere il cavo al microfono tramite il connettore JST a 5 poli.
c. Piegare il cavo lasciandone circa 15 ~ 20 mm dal connettore.
Sistemare il cavo inserendo l’anello nello spacco laterale del microfono.
d. Avvitare la parte inferiore del microfono.
e. Avvitare l’adattatore al microfono.
f. Avvitare la flangia al microfono.
g. Scegliere il punto dell’installazione (su una superficie piana).
Posizionare il microfono e verificarne l’orientamento (gli interruttori
devono essere frontali).
Se necessario, segnare la superficie attraverso i tre fori della flangia.
h. Inserire le viti nei fori della flangia ed avvitarle.
i. Stringere le viti per fissare il microfono.

USO
Premere l’interruttore “LOCK” una volta per attivare
il microfono;
premerlo di nuovo per disattivarlo.
Per un uso momentaneo del microfono, mantenere
premuto il pulsante “PUSH”.
Nella parte inferiore, è presente un interruttore a 2
posizioni:
passa-alto (filtro passa-alto inserito)
“flat” (filtro passa-alto disinserito)
Il filtro passa-alto è utile per limitare il rumore a volte presente alle basse
frequenze; può inoltre essere inserito nel caso si desideri migliorare
l’intelligibilità della voce (togliendo le frequenze più basse) in ambienti molto
riverberanti.

IMPORTANT NOTES
Before connecting and using this microphone, please read this instruction
manual carefully and keep it on hand for future reference. The manual is to
be considered an integral part of this product and must accompany it when it
changes ownership as a reference for correct installation and use as well as
for the safety precautions.
RCF S.p.A. will not assume any responsibility for the incorrect installation and
/ or use of this product.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
1. All the precautions (in particular the safety ones) must be read with
special attention, as they provide important information.
2. Assure all connections have been made correctly before switching all
devices on.
3. Protect the microphone cable from damage and make sure it is positioned
where it cannot be stepped on or crushed by objects.
4. Do not put the microphone into water (or another liquid), do not throw it,
do not let it fall down.
5. Never attempt to carry out any operations, modifications or repairs.
If the microphone does not work properly, contact your authorized service
centre.
6. ‘Phantom’ power supply needs a balanced microphone cable.
7. Should the microphone emit any strange odour or even smoke, turn the
sound system off immediately.
8. Use dedicated accessories only.
9. RCF S.p.A. strongly recommends the sound system installation is only
made by professional qualified installers (or specialised firms), who can
certify it according to the regulations in force.
The entire audio system must comply with the current standards and
regulations regarding electrical systems.

10. There are numerous mechanical and electrical factors to be considered
when installing a professional audio system (in addition to those which are
strictly acoustic, such as sound pressure, angles of coverage, frequency
response, etc.).
11. Do not point microphones at near loudspeakers (in order to avoid
feedback).
12. Hearing loss
Exposure to high sound levels can cause permanent hearing loss. The
acoustic pressure level that leads to hearing loss is different from person
to person and depends on the duration of exposure. To prevent potentially
dangerous exposure to high levels of acoustic pressure, anyone who is
exposed to these levels should use adequate protection devices. When
a transducer capable of producing high sound levels is being used, it is
therefore necessary to wear ear plugs or protective earphones.
13. Microphones are to be connected in phase, in order to guarantee a
proper sound reproduction, especially when microphones are adjacent
one another.
14. To prevent inductive effects from causing hum, noise and a bad system
working, microphone cables should be shielded, balanced and not be
laid together with other electric cables (mains) and loudspeaker lines.
15. Keep the microphone far from any excessive heat source. Do not use
solvents, alcohol, benzene or other volatile substances for cleaning the
external parts.

RCF S.p.A. thanks you for purchasing this product, which has been designed
to guarantee reliability and high performances.
DESCRIPTION
It is a slim cardioid electret microphone having a flexible gooseneck.
It offers impressive acoustic features and a mechanical design that is ideal
for public address sound systems.
This microphones has two switches (PUSH, LOCK), a red ring lamp that lights
up when the microphone is activated, a high-pass filter with a switch to cut
frequencies below 100 Hz.
It can be mounted on tables (with or without a hole), podiums, pulpits, etc..
It can be mounted on microphone floor stands too.
It has a built-in ‘Phantom’ power circuit; therefore, it needs to be connected to
a mixer microphone input with 12 V ÷ 52 V ‘Phantom’ power supply.
INSTALLATION
I. TABLE TOP MOUNTING (DRILLING THE TABLE)
a. Drill a 23 mm diameter hole on the desired location (table or podium).
The thickness of the mounting surface shall not exceed 32 mm.
b. Insert the longest threaded part of the base into the rubber pad.
c. Insert the base through the drilled hole.
d. Under the table, put the rubber pad into the threaded base.
e. After fixing the rubber pad in place, put the washer into the base.
f. Screw the nut.
g. Tighten the nut partially.
h. Insert the cable through the hole of the base and attach it to the 5 pin
JST connector of the microphone (located at the bottom).
i. Screw the microphone to the base.
j. Check the position of the microphone (its switches must face the user).
If necessary, adjust again and then tighten the nut.

II. TABLE TOP SURFACE MOUNTING
a. Unscrew the lower grip from the microphone.
b. Connect the cable to the microphone 5 pin JST connector
(located at the bottom).
c. Bend the cable upwards, 15 ~ 20 mm away from the connector.
Arrange the cable with the rubber grommet to the lateral grip exit.
d. Screw back the lower grip to the microphone.
e. Screw the grip adapter to the microphone.
f. Screw the flange to the microphone.
g. Select a desired location of the mounting area, with flat unobstructed
surface.
Put the microphone on the surface and then check its position (the
microphone switches must face the user). If necessary, mark the surface
through the three flange holes.
h. Insert the screws through the flange holes.
i. Tighten the screws to secure the microphone.

f. Screw the microphone to the floor stand.
