Operating Instructions
Press the POWERbuttontoturnthemeteron.“CAP-”willauto-appear
ontheLCDdisplay.After“CAL-”appears,themeterautomaticallyadjusts
tozero.Whenautomaticzeroadjustmentiscompleted,“CAL-”
disappearsand“0.0”willappear,conrmingthecapcanberemovedto
start measuring. Press the POWERbuttonagaintoturnoffthemeter,and
coverthelightsensorwiththeprotectivecap.
Note:If“ERR1”appears,checktheprotectivecaptoinsureitis
properly secured.
Protective Cap
This is used to protect the light
sensor from damage and creates a
completedarkenvironmentforthe
metertoself-calibrateonstart-up.
Adjustable Probe
Dependingontheapplication,thelight
probecanbeadjustedorremoved
from the meter.
Power Button
Pushthisbuttontoturnonthemeter.
Pushandholdthisbuttonfor3
seconds to turn the meter off. The unit
willautomaticallyturnitselfoffafter
30minutesofinactivity.Todisablethe
automaticpowerofffunction,turnthe
meteroff,pushandholdthe“ ”
button,thenpushthePOWER button
toturnthemeteron.The“ ”will
disappearfromtheLCDconrming
this setting.

PushthisbuttontoturntheLCDbacklightONandOFF.Thebacklightwill
automaticallyturnoffafter30secondsinordertopreservebatterypower.
HOLD Button
TheusermayholdthecurrentreadingontheLCDdisplaybypressing
the“ ”button.Ausermaypressthebuttonagaintoresumenormal
operating mode.
Max/Min Button
Bypushingthisbutton,theusermayswapbetweenmaximum,minimum
andcurrentreading.Pushandholdthiskeyfor3secondstoexitMAX/
MINmodeandreturntonormaloperatingmode.
Measurement Range Selection
Theusermayusethisbuttontoselectthepreferredmeasuringrange.The
availablerangesare:AUTO,200,2000,20000,200000lx/AUTO,20,200,
2000,20000fc.

Selecting the Appropriate Light Setting
Press the button,andusethe and buttonstoselectapreset
correctionsettingfromL0toL8.Accordingtothelightingsource,theuser
should set their appropriate preset correction for the accurate measuring
result. The user can set his correction factor if a high precision light meter
with“V( )”<3%isavailable.Chooseoneofthefollowingsettingsbased
on your light source:
L0:Standardincandescentlightsource
L1:LEDwhitedaylight(5000K)
L2:LEDAMBER(YELLOW)light(3000K)
L3:LEDGREENlight
L4:LEDREDlight

Battery Replacement
