Danger of fire from incorrect mains voltage.
fCheck that the local mains voltage matches the voltage indicated on the mains adapter.
CAUTION
Danger of electric shock when objects like paperclips or liquids fall into the device inside.
fPull the mains adapter from the socket and inform your specialist vendor
or the REINERService.
CAUTION
Danger of crushing your fingers.
fDo not put your fingers between the printing plate and the trigger table.
CAUTION
Danger of tripping and damage to the device from device lines placed freely in the room.
fPlace the device lines so that they do not pose any danger source!

Damage to the device due to improper transport.
fOnly use packaging that provides protection from impact and shock to the device!

1.9. Switching the Device to Standby Mode
Standby mode
fPush [OFF] for 5 seconds.
The ChronoDater is in Standby mode.
1.10. Clean Device
fClean the top cover of the device with a soft cloth if required.
For stronger contamination, moisten the cloth with water and mild detergent.
CAUTION
Danger of electric shock when liquids enter into the device inside.
fPull the mains adapter from the socket and inform your specialist vendor
or the REINERService.
NOTICE
Cleaning agents that are too aggressive may damage the housing surface.
fDo not use any abrasives and plastic-dissolving cleaning agents for cleaning.

2.1. Selecting Language
Setting the language of the display.

The language that is set flashes.
fAdjust the desired language via the buttons [t] or [u] and confirm the input with [OK].
fTo save the setting and return to the main menu, push [RETURN] once.
The main menu appears.
2.2. Setting Date/Clock Time
Setting the time, date and automatic switching between summer and regular time.
2.2.1. Setting Time
fPush [MENU].
"Date / Clock time" appears.
fPush [SELECT].
„Clock time“ appears.
fPush [SELECT].
The hours display flashes.
fAdjust the correct hour via the buttons [t] or [u] and confirm the input with [OK].
fContinue by setting minutes and seconds.
fTo save the setting and return to the main menu, push [RETURN] twice.
The main menu appears.

2.3.1. Setting Chipcard Function
The ChronoDater prints only with the Chipcard inserted when the Chipcard function is active.
fPush [MENU].
"Date / Clock time" appears.

"Settings" appears.

"Chipcard" appears.
fPush [SELECT].
"ON" or "OFF" flashes.
fPush [u] to switch between "ON" and "OFF".

Setting "On" is only possible with the Chipcard inserted correctly.
fConfirm the desired setting with [OK].
fTo save the setting and return to the main menu, push [RETURN] twice.
The main menu appears.
When using the Chipcard function, we recommend activating the password function.
See “Password Menu” page 39. This ensures that the Chipcard function cannot be
deactivated by unauthorised persons.
2.3.2. Trigger
The print action can be triggered in several ways.
In the delivery condition, all trigger types are switched on.
fPush [MENU].
"Date / Clock time" appears.

"Settings" appears.
fPush [SELECT].
"Chipcard" appears.

"Trigger table" appears.

- "Trigger table" means that the print action is activated by pushing the trigger table

with the paper to be printed on

2.3.3. Stand By Mode
Period after which the device is to switch to standby mode if no activity takes place.

"Stand by Mode" appears.
fPush [SELECT].
Either "OFF" or a time is displayed (5 min to 3 h).

2.3.4. Password Menu
Locks printing with a password and protects from abuse.
2.3.4.1. Activate password request:

The counter registers the number of print actions.
To have the number displayed, push [u] three times in the main menu.
