Accessing the Conguration Tool via Browser
Programming of the Smart Kitchen Timer (SKT) is not done on the unit itself, but through
the Conguration Tool. The Conguration Tool is accessed wirelessly on your web browser by
navigating to the SSID Screen on the SKT and connecting your computer to its unique SSID.
The Conguration Tool is used to add and edit programming such as: Groups, Items, Timers,
Job Aids, and pair Wireless Sensor Modules and Gateways.
1. Connecting on rst boot up: Place the SKT next to the computer you plan to use to
connect to the Conguration Tool. Connect the included power supply to the back of the
SKT and insert the plug into a wall outlet. Initial power up may take up to 30 seconds.
Once the SKT has powered on, rotate the screen by tapping on the blue button until the
desired orientation is set. Once nished, tap “Next.” Continue with steps 2-6.
Accessing the Conguration Tool After Initial Setup: Hold the “RENAU” logo on the
SKT to access the menu, enter the PIN number, tap “Setup,” and select “Recongure
Device.” Continue with steps 2-6.

SKT Mounting Bracket Installation: The SKT can be mounted horizontally or vertically to
match the GUI menu orientation (Please refer to the System Conguration section on page
21 to rotate GUI interface). The three-piece bracket design with two of the smaller bracket
pieces is already mounted to the back side of the SKT.
How to Adjust the Mounting Bracket: The 180 degree rotation is adjustable at 15 degree
increments. There are two alignment pins on each smaller bracket piece which fall into two
of the 24 alignment holes of the larger bracket piece on each side. The captive pin only keeps
the larger bracket together with the smaller brackets during angle adjustment. Once the knob
fastener is screwed all the way down, the captive pin should not take any load or force.
CAUTION! Must be installed by a competent technician using proper tools
and industry practices.
WARNING! Sheetmetal may have sharp edges, use caution when installing
and adjusting angle.

24 25
To adjust the angle, unscrew both knob fasteners completely while holding the SKT. Then pull
the arms of the larger bracket apart to clear alignment pins from the alignment holes on both
sides. Use thumbs to rotate the SKT to the desired angle then release arms to reengage the
alignment pins into new alignment hole position. Screw knob fasteners back into inserts by
hand, then lock bracket assembly in place with a Philips screwdriver
How to Install the Mounting Bracket: Select a safe and secure mounting location for the SKT and
fasten the large bracket to a solid supporting surface with appropriately sized screws and washers
(#10 screw and split washers recommended). If fastening into a wall, locate a wall stud and fasten
directly into the wall stud. Screws/washers should be fastened as far apart as possible.
Mounting Bracket Installation (cont.)
Once the unit has been properly mounted, adjust the SKT angle as shown on page 23 while
still keeping USB port accessible as shown below.
In doing so, this would eliminate the need to re-adjust the bracket angle when accessing USB
port for updates. Completely tighten both knob fasteners by hand with a Philips screwdriver.
Plug in the power supply provided inside the SKT packaging, power up unit, and follow the
setup and operating instructions in the previous sections of this manual.
