1. Outline
The M3062PT2-EPBM is an MCU board for replacing the emulation probe M3062PT-EPB or M3062PT2-EPB for the M16C/62
Group M16C/62P.

3. Replacing the MCU Board
Procedure for replacing the MCU board is shown in Figure 3.1.
(1) Unscrew the four screws included with the emulation probe.
(2) Pull out the M3062PT-EPBM or M3062PT2-EPBM from the
PCA7501EPBA vertically, otherwise the connectors may be
damaged.
(3) Check that the “M3062PT-EPB” or “M3062PT2-EPB” label
is attached on the rear panel of the PCA7501EPBA.
(4) Attach connectors J1 and J2 of the M3062PT2-EPBM (this
product) to connectors J3 and J4 of the PCA7501EPBA,
respectively.
(5) Tighten the four screws in an even, crisscross pattern to
secure the M3062PT2-EPBM.
(6) After replacing the board, perform the self-check to make
sure that it is installed properly.

4. Applicable Emulator Debugger
Use the one of the following emulator debuggers after replacing the M3062PT2-EPBM.
- M16C R8C PC7501 Renesas Debugger Package for M16C Family V1.00 Release 01 or later
- M3T-PD30F V2.20 Release 1 or later
5. Applicable MCU file
Use the MCU file “M16C62P_512.mcu”after replacing the M3062PT2-EPBM.
6. Precautions
CAUTION
Cautions to Be Taken for Handling This Product:
●Make sure to use this product with the PCA7501EPBA labeled “M3062PT-EPB”or “M3062PT2-EPB”, otherwise,
internal circuits may be damaged.
●Before you replace the MCU board, shut off the power, otherwise internal circuits may be damaged.
●Insert or pull out the MCU board vertically, otherwise the connectors may be damaged.
●After replacing the MCU board, be careful about the direction for connecting to the PC7501.
