Installation Requirements
n A computer with a network adapter installed
n Cat-5e or Cat-6 Network Cable
n The surface must support at least 1,5 Kg for the Switch.
n The power outlet should be within 1.82 meters (6 feet) of the Switch.
n Make sure that it is securely connected to the power adapter.
n Make sure that there is proper heat dissipation from and adequate ventilation around the
Switch.
n Do not place heavy objects on the Switch

Hardware Installation
1. Connect the Power Cord to the RP-G1416D and then to a power outlet.
2. Connect a Cat.5e or Cat.6 RJ-45 network cable from the computer to anavailable Ethernet
port on the RP-G1416D
3. Move the power switch to the On position.
Notice
The cable distance between 16 port Switch and other IEEE802.3 compatible network device should not
exceed 100 meter. Make sure the wiring is correct. It can be used Category 3/4/5 cable in 10 Mbps
operation. To reliably operate your network at 100Mbps, you must use an Unshielded/Shielded
Twisted-Pair (UTP/STP) Category 5 cable, or better Data Grade cabling. While a Category 3 or 4 cable
may initially seem to work, it will soon cause data loss. All kinds of IEEE802.3 compatible network device
(Hub, Switch, PC) can connect to Switch by using straight-through wires or crossover wires because of
Switch's auto MDIX function.

Requisitos Mínimos do Sistema
n Computador com adaptador de rede instalado
n Cabo de rede Cat-5e ou Cat-6
n Superfície deve suportar no mínimo 1,5 Kg
n A tomada elétrica deve estar a no máximo 1,82 metros (6 feet) do Switch.

Instalação de Hardware
1. Conecte o Cabo de Alimentação ao RP-G1416D e então a uma tomada elétrica.
2. Conecte um cabo de rede RJ-45 CAT-5e ou CAT-6 do computador a uma porta Ethernet
diisponível no RP-G1416D
3. Mova a chave de Power para a posição ON.
Aviso
A distância do cabo entre o comutador de 16 portas e outros dispositivo de rede compatível com
IEEE802.3 não deve exceder 100 metros. Certifique-se de que a fiação está correta. Ele pode ser usado
cabo de categoria 3/4/5 em operação de 10 Mbps. Para operar de forma confiável a sua rede em
100Mbps, você deve usar um par trançado blindado/não-blindado (UTP/STP) Cabo Categoria 5 ou superior.
Enquanto um cabo Categoria 3 ou 4 pode inicialmente funcionar, irá rapidamente causar perda de dados.
Todos os tipos de dispositivo de rede compatível com IEEE802.3 (Hub, Switch, PC) podem se conectar
ao switch usando cabo direto ou cruzado porque o interruptor em a função Auto MDIX.
