This Technical Manual serves to outline the service & postponement procedure for products listed in the form-factor-matrix below:
Available colours:
BEIGE (BGE), DARK BROWN (DBR), MEDIUM BLONDE (MBL), MARBLE GREY (MGR)*, BLACK (BLK) & STERLING GREY (STG).
Please note that MG290-DVI is available in these colours only: MBL, MGR*, BLK & STG
HI STG: HSG parts are GRY3
*HI & parts in MGR have been terminated in May 2017 and will therefore no longer be available. Possible stock of spare parts can be used up
VEx60 & VEx70 are delivered with TUBE ADAPT for thin tubes/open configuration & HOOK ASM
VEx80 is delivered with HOOK ASM - open configuration is not possible
MGx90 is delivered with HOOK ASM & HOOK ASM W/FILTER - open configuration is not possible

Late 2012 new improved HSG parts, prog service module/ASM FRAME, hooks & thin tube adapt were introduced for the 60-70-80 models. A
small overview for a repair situation:
“Old” version:
HSG parts require only one pin. TOP and BOT HSG are glued to be fixed and cannot be reused. HSG parts will fit old and new version of prog
service modules. If only replacing the hook/adapt,the old hooks & thin tube adapt must be chosen due to the visual look (tiny dierences in outer
dimensions). If old HSG parts are replaced to new HSG parts, the hook and prog service module must be replaced to new version too. Old HSG
parts, prog service module/ASM FRAME, hooks & thin tube adapt are now terminated. P/n’s are removed from this manual
“New” version:
HSG parts require two pins. TOP and BOT HSG are NOT glued and can be reused if not scratched. HSG parts will only fit new version of prog
service modules due to the new module has two holes for the two pins. If replacing the hook/adapt, the new hooks/thin tube adapt must be
chosen due to the visual look (tiny dierences in outer dimensions). P/n’s for new HSG parts, prog service module/ASM FRAME, hooks & thin
tube adapt to be found in this manual

Mount the thin tube adapt to the HI by turning
clockwise. Remove the “stop”. Choose a thin tube
and dome in a suitable size and mount as shown

Remove the hook by turning it counterclockwise. Pull it out. Locate the two pins holding top and bot HSG and push them out using a pin removal
tool. Lift them out by using a tweezer
Separate the top HSG from the bot HSG and slowly remove the top HSG. Lift up the service module from the bot HSG by starting in the end closest
to the bat door as shown

Tap
PB cap shown from both sides
Hold the bot HSG in the pos as shown and insert PC cover into the HSG with the tap pointing towards the hook. Be carefull not to damage the PC
cover during reassembling as it is not an available spare part. Insert the module and gently push until it is complete in place. Mount the bat door
Hold the top HSG in the pos as shown and insert PB into the HSG with the tap pointing towards the batt door. Add bot HSG and module to the
top HSG

Make sure the top and bot HSG are correct in place. Add the two pins and press them in place. Insert the hook and turn it clockwise

Service Procedure:
- Save user settings with Aventa fitting software
- Disassemble faulty device
- Replace module with a new service module from stock
- Assemble device
- Restore user settings with fitting software
- Load customer serial No using DSA6000
Postponement Procedure:
- Disassemble device
- Replace parts with new parts from stock
- Verify battery door by open and close once

Push the PC cover open to get access to the connection points
Open batt door and add a batt pill. Close batt doorMake sure it is complete open. Otherwise there is not enough
space for connecting the programming adaptor

Insert the one end of prog adapt into the square prog port of the device. Push
the bottom part of prog adapt until it clicks to lock it on the device
Prog Adaptor: Press down the
button to unlock after use
Connect CS44 prog cable to prog adapt in correct pos/direction (note the red marks)
