First Installation Quick Guide
1. Install RHE16Com Software on your PC.
2. Connect RHE16 Transmitter to 24 VDC power supply (connection ports 23 & 24).
3. Connect RHE16 Transmitter via USB cable to your PC (mini USB connection on the front side
of the RHE16 Transmitter).
4. If the RHE16 Transmitter is connected to your PC for the first time a driver is installed
automatically. This will take up a few seconds to two minutes. If the driver is not installed
please look on page 8 for troubleshooting.
5. Start RHE16Com Software.
6. Select role in window “RHE16 Role Login” (further information on page 6)
7. Press “Connect”-button in the window “RHE16 Connection” (further information on page
7). If the connection cannot be established please look on page 8 for troubleshooting.

Connection Configuration - Troubleshooting
If the RHE16 is connected to the computer for the first time a driver is installed automatically in the background. This will take up
a few seconds to two minutes. The RHE16 transmitter can only be connected to the RHE16Com Software after the installation of
the driver is finished. The driver could also be installed manually by double-clicking the file “CDM vx.xx.xx WHQL Certified” under
following path: “C:\Program Files (x86)\Rheonik\RHE16\Driver”.
If the connection of RHE16 is still not possible please
check the properties of the communication or USB serial
ports in the device manager. You will find them under
“Ports”.
The port settings have to be the same as shown in the
“RHE16 Connection” window.

Time
Constant
Displays a constant applied to select measurement data for averaging the
Mass Flow Rate. The higher the filter value the longer the time which is
used to average the Mass Flow Rate.
