INSTRUCTIONS:
Thank you for purchasing our product. Please read the entire instructions before use. The CGR-630 Lead Acid 48V 15A
charger is an economic, high quality 100-240V AC SMART charger for Lead Acid batteries.
The charging program consists of 5 STAGES: Pre-charge, constant current mode 1, constant current mode 2, constant
voltage, and float mode charging. The chargers provide protection against overload, over-voltage, over-heating, short
circuit and reverse polarity connections. The charger also has a 15 DAY recharge to keep your batteries topped off.
PLUGS:
Your charger ships with a short cord SB50 GREY quick disconnect. The Vehicle Gender specific cords for Club Car,
E-Z-GO, Yamaha, are ordered separately. Please ensure SB50 QD connectors are tight before use. Observe polarity!

EXPLANATION OF LED STATUS:

Charger Status
1. LED solid green.
The charger is ready to charge, or Charging
is complete.
2. Red or yellow or green light blinks one time per second.
Red light: SOC<80%, Yellow light:
SOC<90%, Green light: SOC<100%
3. Red light blinking quickly.
Input power failure.
4. Red and Green light blinks alternately.
Short circuit or reversed.
5. Red light blinks 2 times, interval 1 second, blinks 2 times again.
Charger temperature over-heating alarm.
6. Red light blinks 3 times, interval 1 second, and then blinks 3 times.
Output over-current alarm.
7. Red light blinks 4 times, interval 1 second, then blinks 4 times.
Output over-voltage alarm.

WARNING AND SAFETY NOTES:
•Battery manufacturers recommend NEW batteries to CHARGE THE BATTERY FIRST BEFORE DRIVING IT. It
takes 2-3 discharge/recharge cycles to balance a NEW battery.
•Never leave the charger unattended when it is connected to its power supply.
•The allowable AC input voltage is 100-240VAC, 50/60Hz. Never connect it to any other voltage.
•Never place the charger and batteries connected to it on any form of flammable surface.
•Never operate the charger in the vicinity of flammable material or gas.
•Do not submerge the charger in liquids.
•Ensure that there is unrestricted airflow to and from the charger's cooling slots. Never place the charger on a
carpet or similar surface.
•Do not overload AC circuits, the charger may need a full 15amp circuit.
•Do not short circuit the terminals.
•Take great care to maintain correct battery polarity. (STICKER ON UNIT HAS WIRE COLOR AND POLARITY)
•Read the battery manufacturer's instructions and adhere to them strictly.
