RIELLO 40 SERIES OIL BURNER

Dear Purchaser:
Thank you for choosing a Riello oil burner. We are proud of our products and have developed this burner to combine
state of the art technology with stringent quality control to give you the very best in heat generation.
Proper installed and maintained, your Riello burner will give you many years of efficient, clean burning, worry-free com-
bustion. Please read the Owner's instructions below and save this sheet for future reference.
OWNERS OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
FUEL OIL: Your burner is not to be used with oil heavier than No.2. Never use gasoline, crankcase oil or any oil contain-
ing gasoline.
COMBUSTION AIR: An adequate air supply is required for proper combustion. Do not block the flow of air into your fur-
nace or boiler room. Details on air requirements are found in your installation manual.
OIL FILTER: The oil line filter cartridge should be replaced annually, and the filter container thoroughly cleaned by your
service technician.
MOTOR: The motor on your Riello oil burner is permanently lubricated and does not require oiling.
WARNINGS:
NEVER try to light oil by putting burning material into the furnace or boiler.
DO not store combustible or flammable material near your heating appliance.
IF THE BURNER FAILS TO OPERATE
First, check the following:
1) Check the thermostat: Turn it up well above room temperature.
2) Check your master on/off furnace/boiler switch - is it on?
3) Check your electrical panel for blown fuses or tripped breakers.
4) Make sure there is oil in the tank.
If the burner has shut down on safety, the red reset button will illuminate. The button is located on the front of the burner
cover, near the top. Set your thermostat well above room temperature. Then, press the reset button ONCE ONLY. The
burner should restart. Should the burner shut down a second time, or fail to operate when the reset button is pushed,
call your service technician.
THERE AR NO OWNER SERVICEABLE PARTS INSIDE THE BURNER COVER DO NOT TAMPER WITH THE UNIT
OR CONTROLS. CALL YOUR SERVICE TECHNICIAN.
TO STOP THE BURNER:
Turn your thermostat off, or as low as it will go. Locate the master on/off switch for the furnace or boiler and switch it to
the OFF position. If the burner will be shut down for an extended period of time, close your oil valve in addition to the

AU PROPRIETAIRE: GUIDE DE FONCTIONNEMENT ET DE MAINTENANCE
MAZOUT: Votre brûleur ne doit pas être utilisé avec de l'huile d'une densité supérieure à l'huile #2. Ne jamais utiliser de
l'essente, ni de l'huile à carter, ni de l'huile contenant de l'essente.
AIR DE COMBUSTION: Un approvisionnement d'air adéquat est nécessaire pour une combustion appropriée. Ne pas
obstruer la circulation d'air dans la chambre à fournaise. Les recommandations à ce sujet sont élaborées dans votre ma-
nuel d'installation.
FILTRE A L'HUILE: La cartouche filtrante du filtre a l'huile doit étre remplacée au moins une fois l'an et le récipient du
filtre doit étre nettoyé sérieusement par votre technicien de service.
MOTEUR: Le moteur de votre brûleur Riello est lubrifié en permanence et ne requiert aucune huile.
AVERTISSEMENT:
NE JAMAIS essayer d'allumer l'huile en placant des matériaux conbustibles à I'intérieur du générateur ou de la chaudière.
N'emmagasiner pas de combustible ou de matériaux inflammables dans la chambre à fournaise.
SI LE BRULEUR REFUSE DE FONCTIONNER
Premierement, vérifier les points suivants:
1) Vérifier le thermostat; le placer plus haut que la température de la piéce.
2) Vérifier si le disjoncteur de sécurité de ligne prés de la fournaise est en position de fonctionnement.
3) Vérifier s'il y a une fusible de brúleur ou un coupe circuit de déraper au panneau d'entrée électrique.
4) S'assurer qu'il y a de I'huile dans le réservoir.
Si le brúleur tombe en sécurité, le bouton rouge de réenclenchement s'illuminera. Ce dernier est situé sur le devant du
couvercle du brúleur. Placer le thermostat plus haut que la température de la piéce. Pousser le bouton de réenclenche-
ment du brûleur UNE FOIS SEULEMENT. Le brúleur devrait se remettre en fonction. Advenant que le brûleur tombe en
sécurité une deuxiéme fois ou refuse de fontionner en réenclenchant le bouton, contacter votre technicien de service.
AUCUNE PIECE NE REQUIERT D'ENTRETIEN PAR LE PROPRIETAIRE A L'INTERIEUR DU COUVERCLE. NE
TOUCHER A AUCUNE PIECE A L'INTERIEUR DU COUVERCLE. CONTACTER VOTRE TECHNICIEN DE SERVICE.
BRULEUR EN POSITION D'ARRET:
Placer le thermostat à son point le plus bas. Placer le disjoncteur de sécurité de ligne à la position arrêt. Si le brûleur est
arrêté pour une longue période, fermer le robinet d'huile.
Pour maintenir votre brûleur en bonne condition et ainsi obtenir une meilleure efficacité, le faire vérifier une fois l'an par
un technicien qualifié.

Estimado cliente:
Gracias por elegir un quemador de petróleo Riello. Estamos orgullosos de nuestros productos y hemos desarrollado este
quemador combinando la tecnología más moderna con un preciso control de calidad para garantizarle lo mejor en cuan-
to a generación de calor.
Si el quemador Riello se instala y se mantiene correctamente, el mismo le brindará muchos años de combustión eficien-
te, limpia y sin problemas. Lea las instrucciones para el usuario que siguen y guarde esta hoja como referencia futura.
INSTRUCCIONES OPERATIVAS PARA EL USUARIO
Petróleo: El quemador no se debe utilizar con petróleo más pesado que el N.2. Nunca use gasolina, aceite de motor o
cualquier aceite que contenga gasolina.
AIRE DE COMBUSTIÓN: Para garantizar una combustión correcta se requiere un suministro de aire adecuado. No blo-
quear el flujo de aire hacia el compartimiento del hogar o del quemador. Los detalles sobre los requisitos de aire se en-
cuentran en el manual de instalación.
FILTRO DE COMBUSTIBLE: El cartucho del filtro del conducto de petróleo se debe sustituir anualmente, y el recipiente
del filtro lo debe limpiar un técnico encargado del mantenimiento.
MOTOR: El motor del quemador Riello está lubricado de manera permanente y no requiere lubricación.
ADVERTENCIAS:
NUNCA trate de encender el petróleo colocando materiales combustibles en el hogar o en el quemador. NO al-
macene combustible ni materiales inflamables cerca de su equipo de calefacción.
SI EL QUEMADOR NO FUNCIONA
Primero, compruebe lo siguiente:
1) Compruebe el termostato: Colóquelo muy por encima de la temperatura ambiente.
2) Compruebe el interruptor principal on/off del hogar/quemador - está en on?
3) Compruebe si hay fusibles quemados o disyuntores disparados en el panel eléctrico.
4) Asegúrese de que haya petróleo en el depósito.
Si el quemador se ha apagado por una condición de seguridad, el botón rojo de reinicio se enciende. Este botón está
colocado en la parte delantera de la tapa del quemador, cerca de la tapa. Coloque el termostato muy por encima de la
temperatura ambiente. Luego pulse el botón de reinicio SÓLO UNA VEZ. El quemador se debe reiniciar. Si el quemador
se apaga una segunda vez, o no funciona cuando se pulsa el botón de reinicio llame a un encargado de mantenimiento.
EN EL QUEMADOR NO HAY NINGUNA PIEZA CUYO MANTENIMIENTO ESTÉ A CARGO DEL USUARIO. NO AL-
TERE LA UNIDAD NI LOS CONTROLES. LLAME A UN TÉCNICO DE MANTENIMIENTO.
PARA DETENER EL QUEMADOR:
Ponga el termostato en off o lo más bajo posible. Localice el interruptor principal on/off del hogar o el quemador y coló-
quelo es la posición OFF. Si el quemador debe permanecer apagado por un largo período de tiempo, cierre además la
válvula de petróleo.
Para garantizar una mejor eficiencia y mantener la correcta condición operativa del quemador, llame a un técnico de
mantenimiento calificado, al año.
