1 General Notices
When you open the packaging, check immediately that
the contents are all present and undamaged. Contact
the RIELLO dealer from whom you purchased the prod-
uct if you notice any problems.
This RIELLO product must be installed by a legally qual-
ified heating engineer. On completion of the installa-
tion, the installer must issue the owner with a declara-
tion of conformity confirming that the installation has
been completed to the highest standards in compliance
with the instructions provided in this instruction man-
ual, and that it conforms to all applicable laws and
standards.
These units must comply with their intended use, pur-
suant to their performance characteristics.
RIELLO declines all responsibility, contractual or other,
for damage to property or injury to persons or animals
caused by improper installation, adjustment, mainte-
nance or use.
In the event of malfunctioning or leakage, switch the
unit “OFF” at the main power switch and close all shut-
off cocks. Call RIELLO’s Technical Assistance Service im-
mediately. Do not attempt to repair the product your-
self.
These units, which may be ducted, do not feature grids
or covers. Provide safety elements and air supply/ex-
tractor grids that prevent accidental contact with the
unit.
A temperature which is too low is detrimental to health
and is a waste of energy. Avoid direct contact with the
flow of air for a prolonged period.
Do not maintain a closed environment for a long time.
Open the windows periodically to ensure an adequate
supply of fresh air.
This instruction manual is an integral part of the prod-
uct. It must be kept safe and must ALWAYS accompany
the product, even if it is sold to another owner or trans-
ferred to another user or to another installation. If you
damage or lose this manual, order a replacement im-
mediately from your local Technical Assistance Service.
All maintenance and repairs must be carried out by the
personnel of RIELLO’s Technical Assistance Service in
compliance with the instructions given in this manual.
Do not modify or tamper with the product as doing so
could create hazardous situations. The manufacturer
declines all responsibility for injury or damage resulting
from unauthorised tampering.
Always wear suitable clothing and personal protection
equipment when performing installation and mainte-
nance work. RIELLO declines all responsibility for injury
or damage resulting from failure to conform to applica-
ble safety legislation and standards.
Comply with the legislation in force on the country of
deployment with regard to the use and disposal of
packaging, of cleaning and maintenance products and
for the management of the unit’s decommissioning.

1 Avvertenze generali
Dopo aver tolto l’imballo assicurarsi dell’integrità e della
completezza del contenuto. In caso di necessità rivolgersi
all’Agenzia RIELLO che ha venduto l’apparecchio.
L’installazione degli apparecchi RIELLO deve essere effet-
tuata da impresa abilitata ai sensi del D.M. 37/2008 che, a
fine lavoro, rilasci al proprietario la dichiarazione di con-
formità di installazione realizzata a regola d’arte, cioè in
ottemperanza alle Norme vigenti ed alle indicazioni forni-
te in questa pubblicazione.
Questi apparecchi dovranno rispettare la loro destinazione
d’uso compatibilmente con le loro caratteristiche presta-
zionali.
È esclusa qualsiasi responsabilità contrattuale ed extra-
contrattuale dell’azienda RIELLO per danni causati a perso-
ne, animali o cose, da errori di installazione, di regolazio-
ne e di manutenzione, o da usi impropri.
In caso di funzionamento anomalo, o fuoriuscite di liquidi,
posizionare l’interruttore generale dell’impianto su “spen-
to” e chiudere i rubinetti di intercettazione. Chiamare con
sollecitudine il Servizio Tecnico di Assistenza RIELLO. Non
intervenire personalmente sull’apparecchio.
Questi apparecchi, canalizzabili, sono sprovvisti di griglie e
di mobile di copertura. Prevedere elementi di protezione e
griglie di mandata/ripresa aria tali da impedire contatti
accidentali con l􏲋apparecchio.
Una temperatura troppo bassa è dannosa alla salute e co-
stituisce un inutile spreco di energia. Evitare il contatto
diretto con il flusso dell􏲋aria per un periodo prolungato.
Evitare che il locale rimanga chiuso a lungo. Periodicamente
aprire le finestre per assicurare un corretto ricambio
d􏲋’aria.
Questa pubblicazione deve essere conservata con cura
perché è parte integrante dell’apparecchio e dovrà SEMPRE
accompagnarlo anche in caso di cessione ad altro proprie-
tario o utente, o di trasferimento ad altro impianto. In ca-
so di danneggiamento o smarrimento richiedere un’altra
copia al Servizio Tecnico di Assistenza di zona.
Gli interventi di riparazione o manutenzione devono esse-
re eseguiti dal Servizio Tecnico di Assistenza RIELLO, secon-
do quanto previsto nella presente pubblicazione. Non mo-
dificare o manomettere l’apparecchio in quanto si posso-
no creare situazioni di pericolo ed il costruttore dell’appa-
recchio non sarà responsabile di eventuali danni provoca-
ti.
Nelle operazioni di installazione e/o manutenzione utiliz-
zare abbigliamento e strumentazione idonei ed antinfor-
tunistici. RIELLO declina qualsiasi responsabilità per la
mancata osservanza delle vigenti norme di sicurezza e di
prevenzione degli infortuni.
Rispettare le leggi in vigore nel Paese in cui viene installa-
ta la macchina, relativamente all’uso e allo smaltimento
dell’imballo, dei prodotti impiegati per pulizia e manuten-
zione, e per la gestione del fine vita dell’unità.

2 Safety precautions
Do not allow children or unassisted disabled people to
use the unit.
Do not open the access covers and carry out technical or
cleaning activities before disconnecting the unit from
the power grid by positioning the system’s main switch
in the “off” position.
It is forbidden to modify the safety or regulation devices
without the authorisation and directions of the manu-
facturer.
Do not stand, sit and/or place objects on the unit.
Do not pull, detach or twist the electrical wires coming
out of the unit, even when the unit is disconnected
from the power grid.
Do not spray or throw water directly on the unit.
The packaging material, a potential hazard, must be
disposed of correctly, and not abandoned or left within
the reach of children.
It is strictly forbidden to touch any moving parts, inter-
fere with them or introduce pointed objects through
the grids.
Do not touch the unit while barefoot and/or partially
wet.

2 Regole fondamentali di sicurezza
È vietato l’uso dell’apparecchio ai bambini e alle persone
inabili non assistite.
È vietato aprire gli sportelli di accesso ed effettuare qual-
siasi intervento tecnico o di pulizia prima di aver scollega-
to l’apparecchio dalla rete di alimentazione elettrica posi-
zionando l’interruttore generale dell’impianto su “spen-
to”.
È vietato modificare i dispositivi di sicurezza o di regola-
zione senza l’autorizzazione e le indicazioni del costrutto-
re dell’apparecchio.
È vietato salire con i piedi sull’apparecchio, sedersi e/o ap-
poggiarvi qualsiasi tipo di oggetto.
È vietato tirare, staccare, torcere i cavi elettrici fuoriuscen-
ti dall’apparecchio anche se questo è scollegato dalla rete
di alimentazione elettrica.
È vietato spruzzare o gettare acqua direttamente sull’ap-
parecchio.
È vietato disperdere, abbandonare o lasciare alla portata
dei bambini il materiale dell’imballo, potenziale fonte di
pericolo.
È vietato assolutamente toccare le parti in movimento, in-
terporsi tra le stesse o introdurre oggetti appuntiti attra-
verso le griglie.
È vietato toccare l’apparecchio se si è a piedi nudi e/o con
parti del corpo bagnate o umide.

3 Description
The FCU series Fan Coil Units that can be ducted are suita-
ble for providing preliminary air processing both for small
centralised systems and fan coil unit systems.
The possibility of combining a series of both supply and
extractor accessories makes these units suitable for vari-
ous uses, starting from basic cooling and/or heating func-
tions and extending to the following processing functions:
filtering, mixing, external air intake, post-heating – both
water and electric.
They are available in two basic versions:
FCU N for horizontal installation.
FCU N V for vertical installation.
4 Technical characteristics
Fully removable Aluzinc side panels.
Panelling acoustically and thermally insulated with
polyethylene/polyester of an average thickness of 20
mm.
3-row or 4-row standard water coil from copper pipes
and aluminium fins, manifolds with GAS fittings, fitted
with a condensate collection tray made from AISI 304
stainless steel.
3-speed direct driven fan deck with statically and dy-
namically balanced impellers, in order to get low noise.
G4 rated standard air filters, easily extracted from the
side of the unit for cleaning.
On-board terminals for easy power connection.
5 Identification
5.1 Nameplate
The nameplate provides all the basic technical and per-
formance details for the unit. In case of damage or loss,
order a replacement from RIELLO’s Technical Assistance
Service.
Any tampering with, the removal or the lack of the
Technical Tag or of any other element whose absence
prevents certain identification of the product makes it
more difficult to install and maintain the product.

3 Descrizione
Le unità Ventilconvettori canalizzabili della serie FCU, sono
adatte a fornire un preliminare trattamento dell’aria sia per
piccoli impianti centralizzati che per impianti a ventilconvet-
tori.
La possibilità di abbinare una serie di accessori sia in man-
data che in ripresa, rende queste unità adatte per svariati
utilizzi, a partire dalle semplici funzioni di raffreddamento
e/o riscaldamento, fino ad arrivare trattamenti di: filtrazione,
miscela, presa di aria esterna, post-riscaldamento sia di tipo
ad acqua che elettrico.
Sono disponibili in due versioni base:
FCU N per installazione orizzontale.
FCU N V per installazione verticale.
4 Caratteristiche tecniche
Pannelli laterali completamente rimovibili in lamiera
Aluzink.
Isolamento acustico e termico dei pannelli tramite polieti-
lene/poliestere con spessore medio di 20 mm.
Batteria di scambio termico standard a 3 o 4 ranghi realiz-
zata con tubi di rame e alette in alluminio, collettori con
filettatura GAS, dotata di bacinella di raccolta condensa in
acciaio inox AISI 304.
Elettroventilatore centrifugo a tre velocità con giranti bi-
lanciate sia staticamente che dinamicamente, a bassa
emissione sonora.
Filtri aria standard con efficienza G4, facilmente estraibili
lateralmente allo scopo di permettere la loro periodica pu-
lizia.
Morsettiere a bordo macchina per facilitare i collegamenti
elettrici.
5 Identificazione
5.1 Targhetta Tecnica
La targhetta tecnica riporta i dati tecnici e prestazionali
dell’apparecchio. In caso di smarrimento richiederne un
duplicato al Servizio Tecnico di Assistenza RIELLO.
La manomissione, l’asportazione, la mancanza della
Targhetta Tecnica o quant’altro non permetta la sicura
identificazione del prodotto, rende difficoltosa qualsiasi
operazione di installazione e manutenzione.
