INSTRUCTION FOR SYSTEM
PROGRAM UPDATE
Certain malfunction in storing data into the memory card has been detected.
Some parts of song data on the BR-900CD may rarely become unusable due
to this defeat. We highly recommend our customers to update the system
program of the BR-900CD according to this instruction. We sincerely
apologize for any inconvenience caused by this.
You may find another INSTRUCTION sheet for update attached to the BR-900CD.
But please be sure to update your BR-900CD with using this “BR-900CD Version
2.10 UPDATE CD.”

The files of the BR-900CD System
Program Ver.2.10 come contained on this
CD. You can update your BR-900CD to
Ver. 2.10 with this CD.
Please be sure to read the following
instruction in order to have updating
properly completed.

Precautionary notes to

updating (IMPORTANT)
Please be sure not to turn the BR-900CD
off while updating. Unforeseen problems
due to the power-off during the updating
may corrupt the system of the BR-900CD
and make it unusable. If this occurred,
please contact the local Roland Service.

Updating procedure
1. Turn the BR-900CD on while
holding [STOP] and [PLAY]
simultaneously.
Please keep holding down the buttons until
below message appears on the display.
2. Press the EJECT button on the
CD-R/RW drive to open the disc
tray.
3. Put the UPDATE CD on the tray
and close.
BR-900CD will automatically start
loading the program files and the
message “Update PROGRAM? Ver
*.** to 2.10” will be shown on the
display.
4. Press the [ENTER/YES] to start
updating.
* If you would like to cancel the
update, please press [EXIT/NO].
5. The display will show the
message “Update Ver 2.10 Are
you sure?” If you are sure you
would like to proceed updating,
please press [ENTER/YES]
again.
The update will start and the
message “Keep power on” will be
appeared on the display.

Insert DISC.
Update PROGRAM?
Ver *.** to 2.10

* If you would like to cancel the
update, please press [EXIT/NO].
* Never turn the BR-900CD off while
updating.
6. When the update is completed,
the display indicates
“Completed! Please restart.”
7. Turn off the BR-900CD and
then turn its power on again.
