STEP ONE >
Pre-installation

Remove the transparent cover
STEP THREE >
1. Remove a PCI slot
backplate and install
the fan control unit.
2. Connect the fan cable with 3 pin
connctor to the FAN Controller
Cable.
3. Connect the 3-pin connctor
of the fan cable assigned
with a yellow and a black
cable to the CPU fan moth-
erboard connector.
STEP FOUR >
Connect the 3-pin connctor with the yellow/red/black
cable to the Controller Circuit board.
Connect the power cable to the speed control and to the
PSU 4-pin connector.
STEP TWO >
Ensure the surface of the CPU die is perfectly clean. If any
residue of old thermal compound is present, it may decrease
the cooling performance of Z1.
Hi-performance thermal interface compound has been pre-
applied to the heatsink and protected by a transparent plastic
cover which must be removed prior to installation.
1. Place heatsink inside retention module on CPU.
2. Carefully engage each clip with retention module.
3. Gently squeeze the clip down so that it latch tightly
with retention module.
