• Large Audio Mixer Interface Software Option
• Serial Interface Cables DB9
• If the cable connection between the switcher and the Calrec
Omega is longer than 50 feet, an RS-232 to RS-422 converter is
required at the Calrec Omega.

Switcher Setup
To Set Up Communications
1. Press HOME Setup Installation Com Setup 
Type.
•UsetheCom Port knob to select the Remote Xport that you
connected the Calrec Omega to.
•UsetheDevice knob to select Audio Mixer.
2. Press Select Device.
•UsetheDevice knob to select RAP.
3. Press Com Type.
•UsetheType knob to select RS-232 (RS-232 NULL on the
Synergy 1).
4. Press Com Settings.
•UsetheBaud knob to select 115200.
•UsetheParity knob to select ODD.
5. Press Extra Options.
6. Press HOME Confirm.
To Assign Audio Channels to BNCs
1. Press HOME Setup Installation BNC Audio.
2. Use the BNC knob to select the Input BNC that you want to
assign an audio channel to.
3. Use the Audio 1 knob to select an audio channel, or group, that
you want to assign to the selected Input BNC.
4. Use the Audio 2 knob to select another audio channel, or group,
that you want to assign to the selected Input BNC.
5. Press HOME Confirm.
Refer to your switcher manual for information on creating audio
groups, or setting default audio levels.

Ensure the port on the Calrec Omega Digital Audio Mixer that is
connected to the switcher is configured for RS-232.
