Switcher Setup
To Set Up Communications
1. Press HOME Setup Installation Com Setup 
Type.
•UsetheCom Port knob to select the REMOTE X port that
you connected the BRC-300/300P to.
•UsetheDevice knob to select Robotic Cam.
2. Press Select Device.
•UsetheDevice knob to select Sony.
3. Press Com Type.
•UsetheType knob to select RS-422.
4. Press Com Settings.
•UsetheBaud knob to select 9600.
•UsetheParity knob to select NONE.
5. Press HOME Confirm.
To Set Up Video Inputs
1. Press HOME Setup Installation BNC BNC
Type.
•UsetheBNC knob to select the input BNC that the Video
output of the BRC-300/300P is connected to.
•UsetheType knob to select Robotic Cam.
•UsetheVideo Format knob to select the video format of the
video output of the camera.
2. Press More Camera Setup.
•UsetheController knob to select the port that the BRC-300/
300P is connected to.
•UsethePort knob to select the port on the BRC-300/300P that
the camera is connected to.
3. Press Camera Options and use the knobs to set the options.

Option Description
Pan Invert Use the Value knob to invert the direction that the camera moves when using the positioner (Yes), or
not (No).
Tilt Invert Use the Value knob to invert the direction that the camera moves when using the positioner (Yes), or
not (No).
Zoom Invert Use the Value knob to invert the direction that the camera zooms when using the positioner (Yes), or
not (No).
Focus Invert Use the Value knob to invert the focus direction
when using the positioner (Yes), or not (No).
Iris Invert Use the Value knob to invert the iris direction
when using the positioner (Yes), or not (No).
X Invert Use the Value knob to invert the direction that the camera moves in the X-axis when using the
positioner (Yes), or not (No).
Y Invert Use the Value knob to invert the direction that the camera moves in the Y-axis when using the
positioner (Yes), or not (No).

4. Press HOME Confirm.
Device Setup
The jumpers on the BRC-300/300P that is connected to the switcher
must be set as follows:
If you are daisy chaining multiple Sony BRC-300/300Ps together,
use the following pinouts to connect the one camera to the next.
Compatibility
Z Invert Use the Value knob to invert the direction that the camera moves in the Z-axis when using the
positioner (Yes), or not (No).

3 Set to OFF for 9600 baud rate
4Infra-red signal control (OFF)
