Thank you for choosing the Royal Enfield Himalayan.
Your new motorcycle is the product born from Royal Enfield’s vast experience of riding in the Himalayas since decades,
from exhaustive testing in all conditions, and our continuous striving for superior reliability and performance.
Please read this Owner’s Manual carefully before riding so that you will be thoroughly familiar with the proper operation
of the Himalayan’s controls, its features and capabilities.
To ensure a long and trouble-free life for your motorcycle, give it the proper care and maintenance described in this manual.
This Owner’s Manual should be considered a permanent part of your motorcycle and should remain with it even if your
motorcycle is subsequently sold.
The Himalayan features a Tripper™ navigation system, powered by Google Maps and the Royal Enfield App. You can use
it to connect your smartphone with the motorcycle through Bluetooth. To use the Tripper™ and to explore the many rides
around you, install the Royal Enfield App and follow the steps to register your Himalayan.

Disclaimer
1. Wash the motorcycle only with plain water. Do not use
any cleaning agen ts or det ergents, especially on
painted surfaces, as it will cause discoloration and
damage to the paint.
2. Do not polish your motorcycle as it will increase the
gloss level and damage the paint.
3. Scratches or marks on painted / plastic surfaces cannot
be removed OR touched up.
4. Warranty is not applicable for discoloration of the
Silencer & Exhaust pipe, as it is a natural process that
will happen during usage.

OPERATION OF CONTROLS
UNLOCKING:
nInsert key, turn clockwise to ignition “OFF” position. If
required, gently shake handle bar to help unlock
CAUTION
Do not force or attempt to lock / unlock steering if the
steering easily.
handle bar is not in extreme left or right side. Failure to
adhere to this caution will damage the lock and also cause
the key to bend or break.
WARNING
STEERING LOCK
LOCKING:
nTurn handle bar to extreme
left or right position.
nSwitch “OFF” ignition,
gently depress key and turn
anticlockwise further till
steering is locked and remove key. After unlocking steering AND before starting engine, check
the handle bar free movement by turning to both left and
right sides, several times.
Failure to do so may cause unstable riding, leading to a
potential accident, resulting in serious injury to both rider
and other road users, besides causing severe damage to
the motorcycle.
