Don not connect the testing input terminals LO, RX, RX, HI) to any input voltage
directly, this is to prevent any possible damage to the internal circuits of the meter.

Measurement by the Four Wire type one pair of
coated clip:
To guarantee a higher precise measurement of this digital Ohmmeter, an accurate
wide range impedance testing equipment, and to eliminate any improper influence of
measurement, especially in effect of the impedance of testing leads, the following
procedures should be followed.

1. Please refer to the table shown above, a testing current is passed in individual
testing range (from HI end to the LO end).
2. The specific electric current flows through any unknown resistance RX.
3. The Voltage VX can be measured on RX1, RX2 terminals, VX = RX x IS
therefore RX = VX / IS
4. The unknown resistance value can be given on LCD display from VX voltage
value to be measured.
5. To obtain accurate impedance measured without any resistance value
impedance between terminals RX1 and RX2.

Precise Impedance measurement:
1. Insert an RED testing lead into “HI” socket and another RED testing lead into
the adjacent “RX” socket; insert a BLACK testing lead into “LO” socket and
another BLACK testing lead into the adjacent “RX” socket.
2. Select the function switch to 200 mΩposition.
3. Short circuit the two testing clips, adjust “ZERO ADJUST KNOB” to a ”000”
reading value on the LCD.
4. Whenever a selected range of 200 mΩ, 2Ω, 20Ω, 200Ωto be measured the
readjustment of “ZERO ADJST” shall be deeply necessary.
5. To measure an unknown resistor RX then by following the two point type of
measurement per shown in figure 3.

Battery Replacement:
The meter is powered by 1.5V battery x 6pcs.
Use the following procedure to replace the battery:
1. Replace battery immediately when LCD displays “”.
2. Turn the function switch to the "OFF" position.
3. Use a screwdriver to unfasten the screws on the battery cover and remove the
cover.
4. Take out the old batteries and replace with new batteries, taking care to note
the correct polarity.
5. Re-install the battery cover and tighten the holding screws.
Replacement of fuse:
For a safety protection of the electrical circuit please replace new fuse
complying the specification 0.5A/250V, 5Ø x 20mm. FAST MIN INTERRUPT
RATINGS 1500A.
1. Select the function range switch to “OFF” position.
2. To unscrew the bottom case by using a screwdriver.
3. Pull out the burned fuse and replace a new one.
4. Close the bottom case and tighten screw.
Limited Warranty:
This meter is warranted to the original purchaser against defects in material and
workmanship for 3 years from the date of purchase. During this warranty period,
RS Components will, at its option, replace or repair the defective unit, subject to
verification of the defect or malfunction. This warranty does not cover fuses,
disposable batteries, or damage from abuse, neglect, accident, unauthorized
repair, alteration, contamination, or abnormal conditions of operation or handling.

A lire avant de tester :
Ne pas relier les bornes d’entrée de test LO, RX, RX, HI) directement à toute entrée
de tension, afin d’éviter d’éventuels dommages aux circuits internes de l'appareil.

Mesure grâce à une paire d’électrode gainée de type
quatre câbles :
Afin de garantir une mesure précise de cet Ohmmètre numérique, un appareil de
mesure précis de l'impédance sur une large gamme, et d'éliminer toute influence
indue de la mesure, en particulier dans l'effet de l'impédance des pistes d'essais, les
procédures suivantes doivent être suivies.

1. Veuillez consulter le tableau ci-dessus, un essai de courant est passé dans la
gamme de test individuel (à partir de HI jusqu’à la fin LO).
2. Les flux de courants électriques spécifiques circulent par le biais de n’importe
quelle résistance inconnue RX.
3. La tension VXpeut être mesurée sur RX1 ou RX2 bornes, VX = RX x est donc
RX = VX / IS
4. La valeur de la résistance inconnue peut être donnée sur l’affichage à
cristaux liquides de la valeur de tension VX à mesurer.
5. Pour obtenir l’impédance précise mesurée sans n’importe quelle impédance,
prenez la valeur de résistance entre les bornes RX1 et RX2.

Mesures précises d’impédance :
1. Insérez le ROUGE de test dans la prise “HI” et un autre ROUGE de test dans
la prise adjacente “RX”; insérez un NOIR de dans la prise “LO” et un autre
NOIR de test “RX”.
2. Mettez le commutateur de fonction sur 200 mΩ.
3. Court-circuitant les deux attaches, réglez le “Bouton de réglage du zéro” sur
“000” en vous aidant des chiffres affiché sur l'écan LCD.
4. Chaque fois qu’une gamme est sélectionnée parmi 200 mΩ, 2Ω, 20Ω, 200Ω,
l’ajustement à zéro est nécessaire.
5. Pour mesurer une résistance inconnue RX suivre les deux points de type de
mesure selon la figure 3.

Remplacement des piles :
Le compteur est alimenté par des piles 1.5V x 6pcs.
La procédure suivante permet de remplacer la batterie :
1. Remplacer les piles immédiatement lorsque l’écran LCD affiche “ ”.
2. Tourner le sélecteur de fonction sur la position « OFF ».
3. Utiliser un tournevis pour dévisser les vis sur le couvercle et retirez le
couvercle.
4. Retirez les anciennes piles et remplacer par des piles neuves, en prenant
soin de noter la polarité correcte.
5. Réinstallez le couvercle de la batterie et serrer les vis de tenue.
Remplacement du fusible :
Pour la protection ducircuit électrique, veuillez remplacer avec fusible neuf conforme
à la spécification 0,5A/250V, 5Ø x 20mm. FAST MIN INTERRUPTION ÉVALUATION
1500A.
1. Mettez l’interrupteur de fonctions sur « OFF ».
2. Dévissez le bas du boîtier à l’aide d’un tournevis.
3. Retirez le vieux fusible et remplacez-le par un neuf.
4. Refermer le bas du boîtier et revisser.
Garantie limitée :

d’œuvre pendant 3 ans à compter de la date d’achat. Au cours de cette période de
