Legal Information
Please ensure that you read these instructions carefully before commis-
sioning the REG-Switch SR 5TX GB. The correct transport, storage and
installation as well as careful operation and maintenance of the device is
decisive for safe operation of the device.
Power supply
Work to the power supply network may only be performed by
authorised electricians.
Risk to life from electric current! Ensure that the power supply is
disconnected before performing any assembly work.
Housing temperature
Please observe the permissible operating temperature, do not use the
REG-Switch SR 5TX GB directly next to devices that generate a high
amount of heat (e.g. dimmer).
Intended use
The REG-Switch SR 5TX GB may only be used according to the descrip-
tions contained in the instructions. The device may only be used provided
that it is in a flawless condition and in the stated ambient conditions. Do
not use the device for any other purpose and ensure that it is only
used indoors.
Only use cables that have been certified by the respective man-
ufacturer. Other cables may cause malfunctions or lead to the
destruction of the devices.
Disposal
The device may not be disposed of with standard domestic waste. The
national and regional disposal regulations must be observed.
General Information
System description
The device is an industrial Ethernet switch to be installed
in electrical installation distributors according to DIN
43880.
The 230 V connection is made via the replaceable ports
(B) with 3 labelled plug-in contacts. The applied power
supply is displayed via the LEDs (A).
The REG-Switch SR 5TX GB permits the networking of
up to 5 devices via the integrated RJ45 connections that
are located beneath the release buttons (D) for the patch
cables.
LED
The device offers three different transfer speeds:
1 Gbit/s, 100 Mbi/s and 10 Mbi/s
The LEDs (C) for the respective RJ45 connection have the following meanings:

Spannungsversorgung
Arbeiten am Versorgungsnetz dürfen nur von autorisiertem
Elektrofachpersonal ausgeführt werden!
Lebensgefahr durch elektrischen Strom! Bei allen Montagear-
beiten schalten Sie zunächst die Netzspannung frei.
Gehäusetemperatur
Beachten Sie bitte die zulässige Betriebstemperatur, setzen Sie das REG-
Switch SR 5TX GB nicht direkt neben Geräten mit hoher Wärmeentwick-
lung (z. B. Dimmer) ein.
Bestimmungsgemäßer Gebrauch
Das REG-Switch SR 5TX GB darf nur wie in der Anleitung beschrieben
verwendet werden. Es darf nur unbeschädigt und unter den angegebenen
Umweltbedingungen eingesetzt werden.
Betreiben Sie das Gerät zu keinem anderen Zweck und nur in Innen-
räumen.
Verwenden Sie nur vom jeweiligen Hersteller zertifizierte Kabel.
Andere Kabel können Fehlfunktionen verursachen oder zur Zer-
störung der Geräte führen.
Entsorgung
Das Gerät darf nicht über den normalen Hausmüll entsorgt werden – halten
Sie die nationalen und regionlaen Vorschriften zur Entsorgung ein.
Allgemeines
Systembeschreibung
Das Gerät ist ein industrielles Ethernetswitch für den Ein-
bau in Elektroinstallationsverteilern nach DIN 43880.
Der 230 V Anschluss erfolgt über die auswechselbare
Buchse (B) mit 3 gekennzeichneten Steckkontakten. Die
angelegte Spannungsversorgung wird über die LEDs (A)
angezeigt.
Das REG-Switch SR 5TX GB erlaubt die Vernetzung von
maximal 5 Geräten über die integrierten RJ45 Anschlüs-
se, die sich unterhalb der Entriegelungsknöpfe (D) für die
Patchkabel befinden.

Das Gerät bietet drei unterschiedliche Übertragungsgeschwindigkeiten an:
1 Gbit/s bzw. 100 Mbi/s und 10 Mbi/s
Die LEDs (C) für den jeweiligen RJ45-Anschluss haben folgende Bedeutung:

Beachten Sie bei Arbeiten in und an elektrischen Anlagen die fünf Sicher-
heitsregeln nach DIN VDE 0105:

2 Gegen Wiedereinschalten sichern
3 Spannungsfreiheit allpolig feststellen
4 Erden und kurzschließen
5 Benachbarte unter Spannung stehende Teile abdecken.

Beachten Sie das Anschlussbild 2 und schließen Sie
die Netzspannung (Leitungsdurchmesser maximal
2,5mm2) entsprechend an.
Um eine Beeinflussung des Netzwerks durch Störun-
gen/Veränderungen im Bereich der 230 V Installation
zu vermeiden, trennen Sie stets die Spannungsversor-
gung aktiver Komponenten sowie der Datenendgeräte
(PC usw.) von denen anderer Verbraucher (z. B. Mikro-
welle, Staubsauger).
Verwenden Sie eigene Stromkreise, indem Sie z.B.
einen Leitungstrenn- oder -schutzschalter einsetzen
und ggf. einen geeigneten Überspannungsschutz
(C-Ableiter). Kennzeichnen Sie den Stromkreis sowie
die zugehörigen Steckdosen eindeutig, z.B. mit „EDV“.
Technische Daten
Connect power (max. cable diameter: 2.5mm2) in accord-
ance with Fig. 2.
In order to avoid network interference by disturbances/alter-
ations in the range of the 230 V installation, please always
disconnect the power supply belonging to active compo-
nents and the data end devices (PC, etc.) from those of
other power consumers.
Use a separate circuit e.g. by applying a line-protective or
line disconnecting switch or an insulated overvoltage pro-
tection (C-arrester) and clearly label the circuit as well as the
belonging jacks clearly, e. g. with “EDP”.
