move to the name you want. If you
would prefer to scroll through your
entire Phonebook, do not enter any
letters and press under Search.

you are looking for or just press

or keys to scroll through the list until
you have highlighted the entry you wish
to change.

the or keys to select Edit. Alter
the name by deleting characters or
numbers using the Ckey, then enter
new ones. Select OK and you will be
given the opportunity to alter the
number.
5When you have completed all of your
changes, select Save.

how many names and numbers
you can store
You can store up to 90 names and
numbers on your SIM Card and up to 99
on your phone’s internal memory. The
advantage of saving them to your SIM
Card memory is that you can easily
remove all your stored information and
insert it in another phone at a later date.
(You can however copy numbers from the
phone’s memory to your SIM Card as
described later in the section below).
storing a name and number
1Key in the phone number to be stored,
including the full area code. If you press
and hold the 0+ key, then add the
country code before the local area
code (take out the zero of the local
area code), you can then use the
number when calling from abroad.
When you have finished, press the soft
key under Save.
2 Under Enter Name start adding the
name. Press each key the relevant
number of times to get the letter you
need. For example, the letter Jis
produced by pressing the 5key once.
The letter Sis produced by pressing the
7key four times. If you make a mistake,
press the Ckey to delete a letter.
To change from upper case to lower
case or numbers only, press under
. When you have finished,
press under OK.
3The phone allocates a location number
on the SIM Card, to save to the SIM
Card press under OK. To change
from card to phone memory press
under To Phone, and then press
under OK to save.
To call the number press or press
to return to the main display.

Generally, it is only necessary to enter
the first one or two letters using the
relevant keys. The more characters you
use, the more accurately the phone
can search. When you have finished,

Your Orange phone can store the names and numbers of your friends, family and
colleagues in its Phonebook. So you can call them whenever you want to.
