Getting started
First find a location for your new HD Radio,
1. Plug the AC power cord into the socket located on the rear,
ensuring that the plug is pushed fully into the socket.
Plug the other hand of the AC power cord into a wall socket
and switch on the wall socket if needed.
2. Extend the FM telescopic antenna.
3. Connect the AM loop antenna into external AM loop antenna
terminal on the rear.
Important :
1. The AM loop antenna should be located at least 50 cm
away from the receiver to avoid possible interference.
2. Do not touch Power/Control knob on the radio while
plug in AC power.
Setting the clock
Clock setting can be done when the receiver is on or Standby
( power off ).
1. Press and hold SETUP/ATS button for approx. 2 seconds until
display flashes ATS, press SETUP button again to allocate
“ CLOCK SET “ then press Execution button to enter Clock
Set mode.
2. Press Tuning Up or Down to select Hour then press Execution
button again to complete hour setting.
3. Use same procedures to complete minute, AM or PM, date,
month and year. Press button to complete Clock Set.

Radio Controls
1. To turn the radio on, press and release the Power button on the
remote control or Power / Control knob on the unit.
2. To turn the radio off, pressing the Power button on the remote
control will put the radio into standby ( power is off ) or long
press Power/Control knob on the unit for more than 2 seconds
will turn the radio off. In standby, the tuner will display the time,
dim the backlight ( in 12 seconds ) and standby LED will be on.
3. Press and release the Power / Control knob on the unit less than
2 seconds will be in Tuning control mode.
4. Rotary the Power / Control knob while power is on will do the
volume control ( see described later ).
Selecting the radio band
Press the BAND button to select the appropriate band.
When you switch from one band to another, the radio will return to
the last tuned station used in the band.
Note:
When AUX IN socket behind the unit is connected, Display will cycle
through AM FM AUX IN AM …………
Manual Tuning
1. Press the Tuning rocker switch UP or DOWN on the remote control
to select a radio station. Tuning step per press for AM is 10 kHz
and 100 kHz for FM band.
2. Press and release the Power / Control knob on the unit to enter
Tuning mode. Rotary the Power / Control button to make
manual tuning.

Volume Control
1. Rotary the Power / Control button to do the volume control.
You can do the same by pressing the Volume UP/Down button
on the remote control.
Mute
Press MUTE button on the remote control to mute the radio.
Press the MUTE button again to turn on the volume.
Audio Equalizer ( EQ )
1. Press EQ button to cycle through FLAT CLASSIC JAZZ
POP MY BASS MY TREBLE FLAT.
Press Execution button to confirm EQ setting.
2. During MY BASS and MY TREBLE mode, press Execution button
to enter into Treble and Bass adjustment. Using either
Tuning UP or Down button on the remote control to the adjustment.
Press Execution button again to complete MY BASS and
MY TREBLE audio EQ setting.
Music/News selection switch
Music/News selection switch is located at the rear of the receiver.
Switch Music/News selection to Music position when you listen to
music program. Switch it to News position when you listen to
news program.
Note:
The EQ setting can’t be done when the Music/News selection is in
News position.
HD SEEK function
Using the HD SEEK button, the tuner will seek to the next available
HD Radio station with good signal. Press any keys to stop
HD SEEK function.

Listening to HD Radio Broadcasts
When HD Radio station is found, display will show,
1. Station call sign.
2. The number of the multicasting program ( 1= main program ).
3. The total number of HD Radio program services and
HD Radio mark .
4. The preset number of this program.
5. The radio band.
Receiving Multicast Stations
When the radio is tuned to an HD compatible station and it determines
that one or more Multicast station are available. The station call letter
will be followed by a number designator, indicating that numbers of
available Multicast station.
Repeatedly press Execution button or Tuning UP or DOWN button
will tune up or down from a station Main Program Service to the
Multicasting programs.

Information
To get information from the radio program you are listening to,
press INFO button. Repeatedly pressing INFO button will cycle
through information of Radio Text Program Type ( PTY )
Frequency and Preset no Signal quality Audio Mode
Graphic EQ level EQ mode Time/Date Alarm 1 status
Alarm 2 status Sleep timer status.

Advanced Information
Long press INFO button for 2 seconds to enter Advanced
Information. Press and release INFO button will cycle through bit
error rate Service mode Station ID Software version
HD Radio Module Hardware and Software version.
Those advanced information are required mainly for factory and
after sales service reference only.

Hybrid Seek – traditional AM/FM stations +
HD Radio stations seek
When radio is on, press Tuning Up/Down button on the remote
control for more than 0.5 seconds will seek next available station
with good signal. “HD” will appear on the display, when the stations
found are HD Radio stations.
ATS – Auto Tuning System
ATS function is to seek and save all the available stations with good
signal within the full FM and AM band into the ATS table.
Select required band by pressing BAND button. Long press SET UP/
ATS button until display appears SET UP and ATS is flashing.
Press Execution button to start ATS function, the radio will seek
and memorize all the available with good signal within the selected
band into the ATS table. The ATS table can save maximum
100 station each band.
Display will show total stations stored in the ATS table after ATS is
completed. Tuning Up or Down to select required stations. Radio will
be back to last station before ATS is executed within 12 seconds if
you do not press Tuning Up or Down button when ATS is completed.
Press and release ATS button can recall the ATS table,
then press Tuning Up or Down button to search required stations in
the ATS table.

Using AM/FM presets
Preset stations
There are 10 preset stations each for AM and FM. Select radio
station by any of above tuning methods, press and hold for
2 seconds for the number 0-9 of where you would like to store this
station until display indicating the station is stored.
Note:
If preset stations are full, display will appear Preset Full.
Press another 2 seconds will replace previous memory station.
Display will show P-X stored. To give up the preset, simply release
the number button when Preset Full appears, display will return to
frequency status.
Recalling a preset station – FM and AM
1. Press band button to select required AM or FM band.
2. Simply press and release the number station you like to recall.
Last Recall Station
Press LAST RECALL button on the remote control to recall last
listening station.

Otherfunctions
Sleep timer
The radio can be set to turn off after a preset time has elapsed.
You can set Sleep timer only when radio is on.
1. Long press ATS/SET UP button until display shows SET UP and
flashing ATS.
2. Press and release ATS/SET UP again to allocate SLEEP,
then press Execution button to enter Sleep timer mode.
3. Press Tuning UP/Down to select required sleep timer time then
press execution button to complete sleep timer setting.
4. Your radio will switch off after the preset sleep time has elapsed.
5. You can check remaining sleep timer time by continuously
pressing INFO button to get Sleep timer status.
Auto clock function
If the FM station you are listening to providing RDS service and has
Auto clock time setting feature ( CT ). You can set the clock to be
Auto clock, the clock will be automatically adjusted by the station
RDS – CT service.
Note:
Before you set the Auto clock function, please make sure the
FM station you tune to providing auto clock time setting service.
The Auto clock function can be set only when radio Power is on.
1. Press ATS/SET UP button for more than 2 seconds until display
appears SET UP and flashing ATS.
2. Press and release ATS/SET UP button to get AUTO CLOCK.
3. Press and release Execution button to confirm
AUTO CLOCK setting.
4. The clock time will be auto setting by the FM RDS station
which supports Auto Clock setting ( CT ).

Setting the alarm timer – Beep
There are two alarm timers in this radio.
You can set the alarm timer either radio is on or off ( standby ).
1. Press ATS/SET UP button for more than 2 seconds until display
appears SET UP and flashing ATS ( radio is on ) or Clock Set
( radio is off ).
2. Repeatedly press and release ATS/SET UP button again to
get Alarm 1.
3. Press and release Execution button to enter Alarm 1 setting.
4. Press Tuning Up and Down and complete with pressing
Execution button to select Alarm source - Beep
( off /Beep/FM/AM/Aux In ).
5. Press Tuning Up/Down button and complete with pressing
Execution button to select Alarm time and mode.
Display will flash Hour.
6. Press Tuning Up or Down button then Execution button to
complete alarm hour setting.
7. Same procedures to complete alarm minute and AM/PM setting.
8. Display will flash Once. Press Tuning Up or Down button to select
Daily, Weekdays, Once, Weekends for the set alarm time.
9. Press Execution button to complete alarm time setting.
Display will show A1 indicating alarm 1 is set.
10. Same procedures to set Alarm 2, display will appear
A2 indicating alarm 2 is set.
Note :
Daily– wake up at set alarm time everyday.
Weekdays– wake up only on Monday to Friday at set alarm time.
Weekends– wake up only on Saturday and Sunday at set alarm time.
Once– wake up only once at set alarm time.
Note:
Make sure to set correct clock time and date before setting
alarm timer. The radio can judge which dates are weekends and
weekdays only when the clock and dates are set correctly
before alarm setting.

Set the alarm timer – AM, FM and Aux In
Following the same procedures described above 1-4 to select Alarm
Source AM, FM or Aux IN ( make sure audio source for Aux In is
connected, if Aux In socket is not connected, Alarm source will be
switched to Alarm Beep ).
When AM or FM alarm is selected
1. Press Execution button to enter tuning mode.
2. Press Tuning Up or Down to select radio station.
3. Press Execution button to select alarm time setting
( same procedures as above 5-8 ).
4. Press Execution button to enter volume control mode, then
press Tuning Up or Down to select required alarm volume level .
5. Press Execution button to complete alarm setting.
Display will appear A1 ( alarm 1 ) or A2 ( alarm 2 ) indicating the
alarm timer has been set.
6. The alarm will sound for 60 minutes until you press Power button
to switch the alarm off.
Note:
if you select alarm timer via Aux In, make sure the audio source for
Aux In is connected and power is on ( MP3 player, CD player etc. ),
the press Execution to enter volume control mode and follow rest of
above steps to complete alarm timer set.
Note:
if you select alarm timer via Beep, a repeating beep tone will sound.
The alarm beep will increase in volume for 1 minute followed by
1 minute silence before repeating the cycle ( HWS-Humane Wake
System alarm ). The HWS alarm will sound for 30 minutes unless
turned off by pressing Power/Standby button.

Snooze function
The alarm will sound at the selected alarm time. Press any button
except Power ( Standby ) button can be silence for 5 minutes
interval until alarm is on again ( Snooze ). This sequence can be
repeated during the alarm period.
Display will appear Snooze and remaining time to next alarm on.
Press Power button to cancel the Snooze.
Canceling alarms
The alarm will activate for 60 minutes ( 30 minutes for Beep alarm )
until you press Power button to cancel it.
Display backlight brightness control
1. Long press ATS/SET UP button until display appears SET UP and
flashing ATS.
2. Repeatedly press and release ATS/SET UP button to get Backlight.
3. Press Execution button to enter backlight control mode.
4. Press Tuning Up or Down button to adjust display brightness.
5. Press Execution button again to complete setting.

Change Hour format
You can change 12 hours time format into 24 hours format and
vice versa.
1. Long press ATS/SET UP button until display appears SET UP
and flashing ATS.
2. Repeatedly press and release ATS/SET UP button to get
Hour Mode.
3. Press Execution button to enter Hour mode adjustment.
4. Press Tuning Up or Down button to get change required
hour format.
5. Press Execution button again to complete setting.
SystemRESET
System RESET feature will allow you to back to initial factory setting
status of the radio.
1. Long press ATS/SET UP button until display appears SET UP
and flashing ATS.
2. Repeatedly press and release ATS/SET UP button to get
System Reset.
3. Press Execution button to execute system reset.
4. After the reset, the radio will clean all the memory/time/alarm etc.
presets and back to initial factory setting status.
