Programming
Thisfeatureisturnedonasdefault, butcanbeadjustedintheprogramming asper thefollowing:
EC4xxPSU
EC500 PSU (EC480 \EC300ControlPanels)
Enter into“Advanced“programmingmodeby
pressingandholding the“Yellow”buttonuntil the
displayshows“AdvancedSettings”
Toscroll throughtheavailableoptionsusethe
“Yellow”button. Tochangesettingspress the“Red”
button.
Once finishedpress hadholdthe“Yellow”buttonuntil
thedisplayshows“Basic Settings”
Toaccess theadvancedsettings, onthehomescreen
(Dealer Logo\EC300 Displayed), press andholdtheup
anddownarrowstogether. Continueholding these
buttonsuntil thescreenchanges.
Toscroll throughthevarioussettingsusetheupand
downbuttons. Tochangeasettingpress theselect
button(leftarrow).
Once finishedscroll to“ExitAdvanced”andSelect.
Option: SOLAR TO (SMARTisthedefault setting.)
SMART –Thisturnsonthesolar smartchargingfeature. Whenasolar panel isfittedtheenergyfromthepanel
isautomaticallydirectedtothevehicle or leisurebatteryaccording chargestate ofeachbatteryandtheoperation
ofthemainsbatterycharger.
LEISURE –Thissetting will causetheenergyfromthesolar panel tobedirectedtotheLeisurebatteryonly.
VEHICLE –Thissettingwillcausetheenergyfromthesolar panel tobedirectedtotheVehicle batteryonly.
Option: CHARGINGMODE (SMARTisthedefaultsetting.)
SMART –Thisturnsonthesmartchargingfeature. Theenergyfromtheintelligentcharger isautomatically
directedtothevehicle or leisurebatteryaccording chargestate ofeachbattery.
NORMAL –Thissetting willcausetheenergyfromtheintelligentbatterycharger tobedirectedtothebattery
selectedmanuallyonthecontrolpanel bythebatteryselect button.
Testing
ToconfirmtheSmartChargefeatureisworking,firstensurethesystemisprogrammedcorrectlyasper the
aboveinformationandthat bothbatteriesarechargedabove12.4V.
Ensurethat theLeisureBatteryisselectedastheactivebatteryfor charge(Youshouldsee avoltageofat least
13.6VontheLeisureBatteryandtheactual voltagefor theVehicle Batterye.g. 12.5V).
Place aloadontheVehicle Battery, I.e. puttheheadlampson, andwhenthisloaddropstheVehicle Battery
voltagebelow12.4Vyoushouldobservethecharger switchfromLeisuretoVehicle Battery(Vehicle Battery
willjumpfrom12.3Vto13.6V\14.4V).
After a4hour period thechargerwill switchbacktotheLeisureBatteryfor 4hoursandwill thenrevertto
monitoring theVehicle Battery.
