2. AIR FLOW METER PRESENTATION
Th DBM620 air ow m t r allows control and balancing of airow in air conditioning syst m. Thanks to th
interchangeable hoods, th air ow m t r can b us d on any typ of grids or diffus rs in air supply or xhaust.
Easy to handl , lightw ight, it allows accurate, sturdy and fast measurements.
It is suppli d in standard with a 610 x 610 mm hood with ow straightener and foldable frame.
Four oth r dim nsions ar availabl as options:

•720 x 1320 mm
•420 x 1520 mm
Th s hoods ar airtight and hav a transpar nt vi wing window, allowing th us r to s through
th v nt to nsur that th hood is in prop r position. Th rods, mad of br glass, provid a
sturdin ss of hoods.
Th m asur m nt grid, attach d to th bas , allows th m asur m nt through 24 points all ov r
th surfac of th grid. M asur m nt is p rform d using a differential pressure sensor,
adjust d in atmosph ric pr ssur and t mp ratur , comp nsat d in t mp ratur .
Th Pat nt d* BM 620 folding fram limits spac r strictions and allows for asi r mounting.
The measuring unit of the air ow meter, removable, can be used as a micromanometer.
R al addition to airow m asur m nt, this instrum nt allows, by conn cting a Pitot tub , to m asur
airow v locity in air duct or, by conn cting two silicon tub s, to ch ck lt r fouling of air station.
It is also possibl to conn ct th matrix grid d sign d for air v locity m asur m nts
on any typ s of larg c lling v nt or diffus r. This grid calculat s th av rag air
v locity from 24 points to guarant a r liabl m asur m nt. Pl as r sp ct a
minimum distanc of 15 cm b tw n th m asuring unit and th m asur m nt
grid.

3.3.3 Use the itot tubes xing accessory
To carry out a m asur m nt with a Pitot tub , it is n c ssary to us th Pitot tub s xing
acc ssory. Th usabl Pitot tub s ar th following: Ø3 mm, Ø6 mm or Ø8 mm.

1. Put th Ø3 mm, Ø6 mm or Ø8 mm Pitot tub on th xing acc ssory.
2. Pr s nt this ass mbly on th back of th DBM620 modul in front of th slots.
3. Pr ss th ass mbly to clip th acc ssory on th modul .
4. Slid th ass mbly toward th bottom of th modul to nalis th xation on th modul .

3.4.2 Mounting of the hoods
3.4.3 First mounting

1. Unfold the frame
Th foldabl fram allows a quick r and asi r mounting and a compact storag syst m.
2. Mount the frame with the hood
➢Th fram lastom r joint must b plac d toward th outsid .
➢Ins rt th 4 hood strips in th d dicat d slots on th 4 sid s of th fram .
➢Tight n th strips.
o not tight fully the strips: in order not to damage the hood cloth, it is recommended to adjust
the strips tightening at the end of the mounting.
➢Adjust th hood corn r on th fram .

3. Mount the hood on the base and position the rods
➢Th transpar nt part must b ori nt d towards th us r. Th colour d strip
insid th hood is a visual mark: it must b plac d on th opposit sid of th
us r. This colour d mark d strip has to b position d in front of th arrow mark
of th bas . Position th fram ’s corn rs with r taining stops towards th
window sid of th hood.
➢To position th hood on th bas , ch ck that th s lf-adh ring trip to x th
hood on th bas is not x d.
➢Tight n and x th s lf-adh ring trip to x th hood on th bas .
➢Put th rods insid th hood.
➢Plac th rods on th d dicat d r c ipt cups th n adjust th m on th opposit
corn r of th hood.
Position the rods to cross on the transparent side of the hood and
on the opposite site of the transparent part.
➢Adjust th strips tight ning.
4. Mount the measurement grid for a micromanometer mode use
➢Mount th positioning struts on th grid.
➢Clip th DBM 620 modul on th last notch of th pol . Pl as r sp ct a minimum distanc of 15 cm b tw n th
m asuring unit and th m asur m nt grid.
➢Plug th pr ssur tub s: th black tub on (-), th transpar nt tub on (+).
➢Conn ct th pr ssur tub s to th modul : th black tub on (-), th transpar nt tub on (+).
5. Set the smartphone support
