The seat pan is made of a UV-resistant, deep-drawn PE plastic. All metal
parts are produced from rustproof steel and in part are powder-coated.
The PU foam meets the requirements for low ignitability of DIN EN 1021-1
and 2. boris. is a stable toilet and shower chair for wet areas for the home
and institutions. Its anatomically-shaped seat pan gives children and
teenagers special support. It can be used as a toilet chair and a shower
chair, and is provided in 5 sizes. As a toilet chair, it can used with the toilet
or as a standalone device with a toilet bucket.
2.2 Handling / transport
The boris. toilet and shower chair is equipped with 4 double castors (with

the back of the seat pan there is a push bar for pushing and turning. boris. is
not intended to be carried. Should you have to carry the equipment due to
obstacles, ensure that all moving parts are tightened. Subsequently, stand
next to the toilet and shower chair, get a hold from the front and rear under-
neath the seat pan and carry it to the desired location.
In order to transport the toilet and shower chair, reduce all adjustments to
their most compact size (fold up foot support, set lowest seat height etc.).

Settings and adjustments to the product or
accessories may only be made by people
who have been given the necessary instruc-
tions by a medical product advisor. Please
ensure that none of the user's extremities are
in the respective area when making adjust-
ments of any kind to minimise the risk of injury.
When setting and adjusting (e.g. seat angle,
seat height...), the centre of gravity shifts and
thus also influences the stability. The stability
is also guaranteed with maximum settings.
3.1 Seat angle adjustment
You can steplessly adjust the seat pan from
(-) 5° active to 30° passive. To do this, press
the foot pedal (A) at the front right in travel
direction on the base frame, so that the seat
pan angle can be adjusted under slight pres-
sure or tension. After adjustment, simply let
go of the foot pedal again.
The foot pedal (A) can be secured against unintentional operation with
the spring pin on the inside of the foot pedal. To do this, turn the spring pin
until it engages. If necessary, assist engagement by moving the foot pedal
gently. The locking eect is cancelled by pulling out the spring pin and
turning it a quarter turn.
3.2 Castors
In general, the toilet and shower chair should be secured against uninten-
tional rolling away by braking the 4 castors. The castors are equipped with
a total stop with direction lock that prevents
unintentional rolling and twisting. To do this,
press down the locking device (B) on each
castor using the tip of your foot (C). To relea-
se the castors, push the locking devices up
again with the tip of your foot (D).
The brakes only work reliably on an even surface!

3.3 Seat height adjustment
You can adjust the height of the seat pan in
2.5 cm steps. To do this, first loosen the two
cap nuts (A) on the brackets between the
pan and base frame on both sides. Now the
height of the seat pan can be adjusted via
the row of holes. Then please firmly re-tighten
the nuts again. Now please re-adjust the gas
pressure spring so that the seat angle is ad-
justed correctly again. To do this, unscrew the
gas pressure spring bracket (B) screw com-
pletely out of the thread plate and reinsert it
at the appropriate height.
The setting may only may made with the
seat unoccupied.
4.1 Assembly and disassembly of accessories
Any accessories can be assembled to and disassembled from the speci-
fied position using the supplied original mounting materials. This must only
be done by qualified personnel. Further details on assembly and disas-
sembly can be found in our spare parts lists and the included exploded
drawings (see www.schuchmann.de/infothek).
4.2 Toilet bucket
The toilet bucket is pushed from the rear under the seat pan up to the stop.
The narrow guide prevents the bucket from
slipping out.
After using the toilet bucket, please clean and
disinfect it and the seat pan thoroughly. Only
use standard commercial disinfectants.

4.5 Table with padded armrest, pivotable
In order to pivot the table, for example to make
getting in and out easier, the pull catch (A)
is pulled and the table can be pivoted away
around the bracket on the left-hand side of
the pan frame, or removed completely. When
pivoting back, ensure that the table is cor-
rectly engaged again. The height of the ta-
ble can be adjusted. To do this, loosen the
screw connections (B) on both sides, adjust
the height via the perforated plate and firmly
re-tighten the screw connections. It is ad-
vantageous if you remove the support table
first, and then adjust the brackets individually.
Attention risk of entrapment! When the table is
mounted it must be ensured that neither textiles nor body parts (ngers) are in
the area when opening and closing the table. Between table holder and frame
there is an area to be avoided by ngers!
4.6 Abduction block with integrated spray protection
The abduction block is inserted with the pin (C)
into the round opening at the centre front of
the seat pan, and pushed downwards until it
audibly clicks into place.

removed from the chair without any problems
i.e. for cleaning (with a mild soapy solution).
To remove the pads, simply press the pad
knobs (A) from the outside through the seat
pan holes.
On insertion of the pad knobs, press the pad
back into the seat pan holes.
Do not pull on the pads to remove them
since the knobs to x the pads can get damaged!
4.8 PU calf board
For better guidance of the calves, a
height-adjustable PU calf board can be
used in connection with the footrest.
The calf board can only be used in connection
with the footrest!
