
3. OPERATION
3.1. To use the meter; connect the earth clip to a source of ground such as a ground wire, vehicle frame or the negative terminal of the
battery.
3.2. Fit the appropriate probe or clip to the meter and connect to the wire, socket etc. under test; the backlight on the LCD display will light
and the voltmeter will display any voltage present.
3.3. Ifnovoltageispresent,conrmthattheearthcliphasagoodground.
3.4. If the meter still does not operate check the lamp on a known good source such as a battery.
3.5. Havingconrmedthemeterisworkingcorrectly;testthewire,socketetc.undertestagain,ifyoustillhavenoreadingthewireisdead.
3.6. Consultthevehiclehandbookforfusepositionsandcheckifthefusehasblown.Ifthefusehasblown,rstestablishthereasonforthe
fuse blowing before replacing with the same fuse type.
3.7. Ifthefuseisgoodthenworkbackalongthetestwire,socketetc.towardsthefuseuntilyoundapointwhereitislive.Thiswayyou
can narrow down where the open circuit, break or bad connection is.
3.8. Note: You may use the probes to pierce the wire’s insulation to allow you to test closer to the open circuit, break or bad
connection.

WEEE REGULATIONS
Dispose of this product at the end of its working life in compliance with the EU Directive on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment
(WEEE). When the product is no longer required, it must be disposed of in an environmentally protective way. Contact your local solid
waste authority for recycling information.
ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION
Recycle unwanted materials instead of disposing of them as waste. All tools, accessories and packaging should be sorted, taken to
a recycling centre and disposed of in a manner which is compatible with the environment. When the product becomes completely
unserviceable and requires disposal, drain any fluids (if applicable) into approved containers and dispose of the product and fluids
according to local regulations.
