INTEGRATED TEST LIGHT/VOLTMETER 3-48V

1. SAFETY
WARNING! DO NOT use test light with domestic 110-230Volt supplies. Only use with DC Voltages between 3 and 48Volts.
9Observe standard workshop safety procedures when using the meter.
9Keep the work area clean, uncluttered and ensure there is adequate lighting. Keep tools and other items away from the engine and
ensure you can see the working parts of the engine clearly.
9 Maintaincorrectbalanceandfooting.Ensuretheoorisnotslipperyandwearnonslipshoes.
9 Removeillttingclothing.Removeties,watches,ringsandotherloosejewellery.Containortiebacklonghair.
9Ensure extension leads and probes are kept clear of hot surfaces and rotating parts.
8DO NOT drape cables around neck or arms – danger of entanglement.
8DO NOT disassemble meter.
8DO NOT get test light wet or use in damp or wet locations or areas where there is condensation.
8DO NOT use the meter for any purpose other than for which it is designed.
8DO NOT use the meter if damaged.
9When not in use place test in its case and store in a safe, dry, childproof location.
2. INTRODUCTION
LCD meter draws minute currents making this tool safe to use around delicate electronic components. With a range of 3-48V DC, this tool is
suitable for motorcycle, car and commercial applications. Includes interchangeable 65 & 175mm probes, leads and clips with Ø4mm banana
coupling.

3. OPERATION
3.1. To use the meter; connect the earth clip to a source of ground such as a ground wire, vehicle frame or the negative terminal of the
battery.
3.2. Fit the appropriate probe or clip to the meter and connect to the wire, socket etc. under test; the backlight on the LCD display will light
and the voltmeter will display any voltage present.
3.3.  Ifnovoltageispresent,conrmthattheearthcliphasagoodground.
3.4. If the meter still does not operate check the lamp on a known good source such as a battery.
3.5. Havingconrmedthemeterisworkingcorrectly;testthewire,socketetc.undertestagain,ifyoustillhavenoreadingthewireisdead.
3.6. Consultthevehiclehandbookforfusepositionsandcheckifthefusehasblown.Ifthefusehasblown,rstestablishthereasonforthe
fuse blowing before replacing with the same fuse type.
3.7.  Ifthefuseisgoodthenworkbackalongthetestwire,socketetc.towardsthefuseuntilyoundapointwhereitislive.Thiswayyou
can narrow down where the open circuit, break or bad connection is.
3.8. Note: You may use the probes to pierce the wire’s insulation to allow you to test closer to the open circuit, break or bad
connection.

WEEE REGULATIONS
Dispose of this product at the end of its working life in compliance with the EU Directive on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment
(WEEE). When the product is no longer required, it must be disposed of in an environmentally protective way. Contact your local solid
waste authority for recycling information.
ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION
Recycle unwanted materials instead of disposing of them as waste. All tools, accessories and packaging should be sorted, taken to
a recycling centre and disposed of in a manner which is compatible with the environment. When the product becomes completely
unserviceable and requires disposal, drain any fluids (if applicable) into approved containers and dispose of the product and fluids
according to local regulations.
