INSTRUCTIONS FOR:
VEHICLE MOVING DOLLY - 4 POST 900kg
MAX LOAD 430mm MIN HEIGHT

1. SAFETY

Footwear
 Ensure the dolly is in sound condition and good working order. Take action for immediate repair or replacement of damaged parts. Use
genuine parts only. The use of non-standard parts may be dangerous and will invalidate the warranty.
 WARNING: Prepare the vehicle ready for resting and moving on the dolly. Ensure the vehicle will not move, tip, fall etc.
once it has been seated on the dolly. Take any necessary precautions to protect persons, property and equipment when using.
Locate the dolly in a suitable, well lit working area.
 Keep working area clean and tidy and free from unrelated materials.
 Use the dolly on level and solid ground, preferably concrete. Avoid tarmacadam as dolly may sink in.
 Ensure the vehicle engine is switched off .
 Ensure there are no passengers in the vehicle.
 Ensure all non-essential persons keep a safe distance whilst the dolly is in use.
 Only place dolly under those lifting points recommended by vehicle manufacturer (see vehicle hand book).
 Check the lifting point is stable and correctly held in dolly supports.
 Ensure the dolly wheels are free to move and that there are no obstructions.
 Ensure you have a clear view and necessary assistance when transporting vehicle.
 Ensure there are no persons or obstructions beneath the vehicle before moving.
 When required, immobilise the dolly using the brake pedals fitted to each castor.
DO NOT operate the dolly if damaged.
 DO NOT allow untrained persons to operate the dolly.
 DO NOT exceed the rated capacity of the dolly.
 WARNING: DO NOT use the dolly to hold and move a vehicle which is unstable.
 DO NOT allow the vehicle to move on the dolly.
 DO NOT move vehicle if there is a risk of spillage of fuel, battery acid, or other dangerous substances.
 DO NOT ride on the dolly.
 DO NOT use the dolly for purposes other than which it is intended.
 When not in use store the dolly in a safe, dry, childproof area.
2. INTRODUCTION
Heavy-duty steel frame suitable for supporting partly dismantled or badly damaged vehicles. Enables easy movement around workshop or
bodyshop. Adjustable frame allows you to change the length and width as required. Three interchangeable supports, rubber support pads, shallow
v-crutch and deep v-crutch, that are all height adjustable. Fitted with four Ø200mm nylon locking castors.

4. ASSEMBLY
4.1. Attach the wheels (fig.1.7) to the base bracket (fig.1.1) with bolts, washers,spring washers and nuts (figs.1.13,12,11 & 10)
4.2. Build each side by joining two bases (fig.1.1.) together with an extension piece (outer) (fig.1.5). Secure with bolts (fig.1.8) and short
pins (fig.1.14)
4.3. Couple the two sides by sliding an extension piece (fig.1.17) into the open end of each side and inserting an extension piece
(inner) (fig.1.18). Secure all with bolts (fig.1.8).
4.4. Place a vertical post (fig.1.2) in each corner and secure with a bolt and long pin (fig.9). The post can be pinned at either of two heights.
5.1. The dolly is supplied with three types of support (figs1.4, 15 & 16).
5.2. Select the appropriate support and thread the spindle through the arm nut.
5.3. Place the spindle in the vertical post with the arm nut resting on top. Adjust the supports to the appropriate configuration to receive
the vehicle. With the vehicle in place, fine adjustment is possible using the arm nuts.
5.4. Move the loaded dolly slowly and smoothly. When not being moved, immobilise using the brake on each wheel.
6.1. Before each use check for broken, cracked, bent, or loose parts, or any visible damage. If any suspect item is found remove the dolly from
service and take necessary action to remedy the problem.
DO NOT use the trolley if believed to have been subjected to abnormal load or shock load.
6.2. Keep the trolley clean and oil the wheel bearings periodically.
