SAFETY
This document provides technical
guidance on the installation and
operation of the MagIQtouch WI-FI
smart app.
EMPLOYER AND EMPLOYEE
RESPONSIBILITIES
Please read this manual carefully.
Your failure to do so could result in
injury to you or damage to the cooler
and property.
The installation and maintenance
of evaporative coolers at height has
the potential to create Occupational
Health and Safety issues for those
involved. Installers are advised to
ensure they are familiar with Local
Acts, Regulations and Standards,
which may o󰀨er practical guidance
on health and safety issues.
Compliance with these regulations will
require appropriate work practices,
equipment, training and qualications
of workers.

ASSESSMENT
Seeley International provides the
following information as a guide to
contractors and employees to assist
in minimising risk whilst working at
height.
A risk assessment of all hazardous
tasks is required under legislation.
A risk assessment is an essential
element that should be conducted
before the commencement of work,
to identify and eliminate the risk of
falls or to minimise these risks by
implementing control measures. There
is no need for this to be a complicated
process, it just is a matter of looking
at the job to be done and considering
what action(s) are necessary so the
person doing the job does not injure
themselves.
This should be considered in terms of:
• What are the chances of an
incident happening?
• What could the possible
consequence be?
• What can you do to reduce, or
better still, completely get rid of
the risk?

The MagIQtouch WI-FI Smart App
Controller is supplied with a 5V DC
power mode supply. Only this power
supply must be used.
This MagIQtouch WI-FI Smart App
Controller is to be installed indoors
only, installation shall only be
performed by suitably trained and
qualied personnel, in accordance
with local and national wiring rules.
This appliance is not intended for use
by persons (including children) with
reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities, or lack of experience
and knowledge, unless they have
been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance by
a person responsible for their safety.
Children should be supervised to
ensure that they do not play with
the appliance. If any cables are
damaged, they shall be replaced by
the manufacturer or its service agent
or similarly qualied person in order to
avoid a hazard.
Stranded conductors shall not be
consolidated by lead-tin soldering
where they are subject to contact
pressure, i.e. on terminal block.

INSTALLATION
LOCATION
It is recommended the MagIQtouch WI-FI Smart Controller is placed
within 10m of the customer home router to maximise optimum
performance. Secure the MagIQtouch WI-FI smart controller with
the screw pack provided. The MagIQtouch WI-FI smart controller is
intended to be installed indoors only.

If the signal is weak or cannot be reached inside the roof space, place
the smart app controller closer to the home Wi-Fi router location.
If you have any concerns about signal strength from the Home router
place the smart app controller as close as practical to the home Wi-Fi
router location.

STEP 1: MAGIQTOUCH WALL CONTROLLER CONFIGURATION
If this is a new installation go through the MagIQtouch wall controller
installation wizard. If adding MagIQtouch WI-FI Smart controller as an
upgrade go to step 2 below.
When the MagIQtouch wall controller detects the MagIQtouch WI-FI
Smart Controller (WI-FI IOT Device) the screen should display the
following;
If ‘WI-FI IOT DEVICE’ is not displayed as above check the following;
• Check mains power to MagIQtouch WI-FI Smart Controller – Green
light illuminated on left side.
• Communications cable are tted correctly.
• MagIQtouch wall controller is connected to WI-FI controller.
• Press ‘Retry’.

At this stage the customer should download the MagIQtouch WI-FI
Smart app from Google play or Apple App store.
When the MagIQtouch Installation Wizard is complete the wall
controller will ask to connect to a WI-FI network.

STEP 2: MAGIQTOUCH WI-FI SMART APP – CREATE AN ACCOUNT
Download and install the MagIQtouch WI-FI Smart app from the App
store or Google Play and create a Seeley International account.
MOBILE APP CONFIGURATION
1. Open the
MagIQtouch mobile
app on your mobile
device.
2. Select the “Create
an account” link.
3. Enter your details
and press the
“Create Account”
button.

4. Open your mailbox
and locate the
email sent by
noreplyIOT@
seeleyinternational.
com with your code.
5. Enter the validation
code in the Mobile
App and press the
Submit button.
6. Once you get this
screen, go to the
MagIQtouch Wall
Controller.

STEP 3: CONNECT THE SYSTEM TO YOUR WI-FI AND YOUR
SEELEY ACCOUNT
7. If the screen of the Wall Control is blank, touch the screen or
press the button on the right side of the screen to wake it up.
8. The Wall Control should ask you to setup the date and time.
Adjust the settings and press the ACCEPT button.

9. The Wall Control should now show the normal operating screen.
Press the Settings button in the lower bar.

10. Locate the MAGIQTOUCH APP SETUP option and press the
arrow button to enter the option. You might need to press the up/
down buttons on the right-hand side of the screen to go the next
pages.

The Wall Control will automatically start scanning the available Wi-Fi
networks. After a moment, the list of networks will be displayed. Locate
your Wi-Fi network and press the corresponding button. You might
need to press the up/down buttons on the right-hand side of the screen
to go the next pages.

11. You will then be asked to enter your Wi-Fi network password.
Press the “ABC” and “123” buttons to use uppercase letters,
numbers or symbols. Press ACCEPT when done.

12. The Wall Control will then attempt to connect to your Wi-Fi
network. After a moment, the Wall Control should display the
result of the connection (Connection Successful or Connection
Failed). If the connection has failed, you will be able to re-enter
your password or change the Wi-Fi network you want to connect
to. When the connection has been successful, press the “CONT”
button.

13. You will then be asked to enter your Seeley account details.
Start with entering your email and then your password. Press
the “ABC” and “123” buttons to switch between the uppercase/
lowercase letters and numbers/symbols keyboards.

14. The Wall Control will then attempt to log in to the Seeley cloud
system. After a moment, the Wall Control should display the
result of the connection (Connection Successful or Connection
Failed). If the login process has failed, you will be asked to
check/re-enter your email and account password. When the
connection has been successful, press the “CONT” button.

To gain the optimum performance of your installation it is
recommended to check your WI-FI signal strength. This can be done
as follows;

Ensure the signal strength has a minimum of 3x solid bars as shown
above. If your signal strength is below 3x solid bars reduce the
distance between your home router and MagIQtouch WI-FI Smart
controller.

15. On your Mobile
Phone, reopen the
MagIQtouch mobile
app. The mobile app
should still have this
screen displayed.
Press Continue.

will look for the
system and then
ask you about some
system details.
