with this installation g ide and according to Volkswagen man fact re’s specifications in a professional
workshop. SEIKEL GmbH and its employees shall not be responsible for damage and its conseq ences of
any nat re, which are ca sed d e to non-observance or ignorance of these g idelines. Warranties shall
be void for incorrectly performed installations.
Installation g ide
P ease refer to the Vo kswagen instructions for the exact working steps as we as the tightening torques. In
case of deviation, our specifications sha be app icab e.
NOTE!
All the drill holes and breakthro ghs m st be deb rred from both the sides. Metal swarfs are to be
removed / vac med p immediately, and it has to be ens red that no swarfs fall into the hollow space
in the body!
Apply paint (as per c rrent valid Volkswagen repair man al "Paint", refer to ELSA):
1. App y wash primer and a ow it to dry in accordance with the item description. A hot-air dryer can be
used, if necessary. We recommend: 1k Wash primer LLS MAX 106 M2.
2. App y fi er and a ow it to dry in accordance with the item description. A hot-air dryer can be used, if
necessary. We recommend 2K-HS fi er LLS MAX 202 M2.
3. App y base coat on visib e areas based on the vehic e-specific varnish and a ow base coat to dry in
accordance with the item description. A hot-air dryer can be used, if necessary.
4. Protect a cutting edges, ho ow spaces or dri ho es additiona y with anti-corrosion wax, if required
using a sma brush. We recommend transparent preservative wax AKR 321 M 15 4.

- 2x M10 hex bush
- 4x M10x20 hex co ar screw
Instr ctions
Insert both the hex M18 bushes provided in
the de ivery from be ow in the existing ho es
in assemb y carrier, as shown in the image.
Fix both the hex bushes from top with one
M10x20 hex co ar screw each and tighten
with 30 Nm.

Mount the transverse bar for underride
protection engine & AdB ue tank on the
hex bushes; during this ensure that the
recesses for the assemb y carrier are
forward facing in the vehic e direction.
Fix the transverse bar with two M10x20
hex co ar screws. Tighten both the
screws with 30 Nm only after installing
the protection plates.
