SEIKO DUO-DISPLAY QUARTZ ALARM CHRONOGRAPH

CHARACTERISTICS:
1. Analogue indication: Two-hand indication (hour and minute).
2. Digital time and calendar: Hour (24 hour indication or 12 hour
indication), "A" (AM) / "P" (PM), minute, second, date and day of
the week. The month is displayed only when the calendar is adjusted.
3. Tri-time function: The home time display and the local time display
in the digital function, and the time display in the analogue
function.
Note:
Both the analogue and digital functions are activated by the same
crystal oscillator. However, as each function of the watch operates
independently, the operation of any function does not affect the
accuracy of any other function.
4. Stopwatch display: Minute, second and 1/10 second up to 30 minutes.
When the measured time exceeds 30 minutes, the display will reset to
"O OO-o" and starts measuring.
5. Alarm display: Hour, minute and "A" (A.M.) / "P" (P.M.) (12 hour
indication). The alarm can be set to ring at any desired hour and
minute.
6. Hourly time signal: The time signal can be set to ring every hour on
the hour.
7. Water Resistant: When "WATER RESISTANT" is shown on the back of your
watch case, the watch is water resistant.
8. Battery life indicator: All the digits in the display start flashing
when the battery life nears its end.
9. Battery: Use a miniature battery, SEIKO (SEIZAIKEN), TR926W, Maxwell
SR926 or U.C.C. 399.

HOW TO SET THE ANALOGUE TIME:
1.Pull the crown out. If the crown is turned clockwise one click, the
minute hand will advance half a minute. If the crown is turned
counterclockwise one click, the minute hand will go back half a
minute. This action can be repeated to set the minute hand to the
exact time.
2.If the crown is turned clockwise two clicks within ½ second, the hands
will advance one hour. If the crown is turned counterclockwise two
clicks within ½ a second, the hands will automatically go back one
hour.
In order to stop the hands before they complete their one hour cycle
turn the crown one click clockwise or counterclockwise.
NOTE: The hands must travel for at least one minute before they can be
stopped.
3.The alarm will ring with a single "peep" each time the crown is turned
one click.
HOW TO SET THE DIGITAL TIME, CALENDAR AND MILITARY (24 HOUR) TIME:
1.From the time display (the digital display with seconds and alarm
function) depress button "B" for 4 seconds. The home time/calendar
setting function will be activated, signalled by a chime and the
second digits will be flashing.
2.Depress button "A" and the seconds will reset to zero and start
immediately.
NOTE: When the seconds count any number from "30" to "59" and button
"A" is depressed, one minute is added and the seconds are immediately
reset to "00".
3.To set the first minute digit, depress button "B" again and it will
start flashing. One minute digit can then be advanced with each of
button "A". Depress button "B" and the 10 minute digit will start
flashing. Again this can be advanced by each depression of button "A".
4.To set the hour digits depress button "B" once more and they will
start flashing. One hour digit can be advanced by each depression of
button "A"
NOTE: If in the 12 hour display, ensure that the desired A for A.M. or
P for P.M. is set.
5.To select the 12 or 24 hour display depress button "B" again and the
A/P mark will start to flash. Depress button "A" once to select the 24
hour display (or military) represented by AP, and once more to return
to the 12 hour display P.

6.The date, month and day can be selected (in that order) by each
successive depression of button "B" and when selected, one digit can
be advanced by each depression of button "A".
7.After all adjustments are completed, depress button "B" to return to
the digital time display. If button "B" is not depressed the hour
time display will automatically return within 4 minutes.
HOW TO SET THE LOCAL TIME:
1.The local digital time display can be selected by depressing button
"A" 3 times from the home time digital display. It can be recognised
by the "L" at the end of the display and will appear with a single
"peep".
2.To adjust the single minutes, depress button "B" for 4 seconds and
the single minute digit will start to flash with chime. One digit
flashing will be advanced with each depression of button "A".
3.Follow the same procedure to set the 10 minute and hour digits.
After all adjustments are complete, depress button "B" to return to
the local time display.
NOTE: When the digital time is set in the 24 hour indication, the
local time display will also be set in the 24 hour indication.
HOW TO SET THE ALARM AND ENGAGE OR DISENGAGE
1.From the digital time display depress button "A" twice and the alarm
mark "AL" is displayed to show the function is activated. Depress
button "B" continuously for 4 seconds and the alarm set mark starts
flashing with chime.
2.The alarm set mark is displayed or extinguished by each depression
of button "A". The alarm is engaged only when the alarm set mark is
displayed.
3.Depress button "B" once and the single minute digit will start
flashing. It can then be advanced once with each depression of
button "A".
4.Follow the above procedure to set the 10 minute and hour digits.
5.After all adjustments are completed, depress button "B" to return to
the alarm display.
NOTE:
a) When the alarm time is set, it will be activated by the
digital time display only.
b) When the digital time is set in 24 hour indication, the alarm
time will also be set in 24 hour indication.

6.To stop the alarm while ringing, depress either button "A" or "B". If
not stopped the alarm will continue for 30 seconds.
7.To test the alarm, depress button "A" and "B" together. The colon mark
(between the hour and minute digits) will be flashing and the hourly
time signal is engaged. To cancel depress buttons "A" and "B" again.
HOW TO USE THE STOPWATCH FUNCTION:
1.From the digital time display depress button "A" 4 times and the
stopwatch function is displayed.
2.To start the stopwatch, depress button B. To stop depress button
again. To reset to "O-00-o" depress button "B" for a third time.
NOTE:
a) The stopwatch measures up to 30 minutes after which the display
will reset to "O-OO-o" and restart immediately.
b) The stopwatch operates independently of other functions and will
continue to measure while another function has been activated.
TO PRESERVE THE QUALITY OF YOUR WATCH:
Your watch contains the highly precise electronic circuit and crystal
oscillator, and to maintain its high accuracy, you should not subject it
to violent shocks or extreme temperature.
Be sure to check if "WATER RESISTANT" is shown on the back of your watch
case. If your watch is water resistant, please follow the instructions
below:-
1.With the exception of the SEIKO water resistant watches specially
designed for diving or swimming, all SEIKO water resistant watches are
designed and manufactured to withstand the water usually expected in
daily living. However, they are not designed for diving or swimming.
Do not wear regular SEIKO water resistant watches while diving or
swimming.
2.If the watch is exposed to water, rinse it in fresh water and then
wipe it thoroughly dry.
3.Do not depress any buttons and do not operate the crown when the watch
is wet.
4.Have your SEIKO watch checked by an AUTHORISED SEIKO DEALER
periodically to be sure that the case, button, crown, gasket and
crystal seal remain intact.
NOTE: If your watch 18 not water resistant, care to get it wet as
water may damage the module and movement. If a non-water resistant
watch becomes wet, we suggest that you have it checked by an
AUTHORISED SEIKO DEALER to be sure that no watch damage occurred.

BATTERY CHANGE:
The miniature battery which powers your watch should last approximately
three years for SEIKO (SEIZAAIKEN) TR926W and two years for Maxwell SR926W
and U.C.C. 399. However) because it is inserted at the factory, the actual
life of the battery once in your possession may be less than the specified
period. The battery needs to be replaced when you see all the digits in
the display flashing, however, the watch will remain accurate while all
the digits are flashing. When replacing the battery, we recommend that you
contact an AUTHORISED SEIKO DEALER.
NOTES: If use of the alarm is more than 10 seconds a day, the battery life
may be less than the specified period.
