BEFORE FIRST USE
Before first use, take the appliance and its accessories out of the packaging material
and remove all promotional labels and stickers. Check that neither the appliance nor
any of its parts is damaged.
Attaching the feet
Warning:
Before attaching the feet, always make sure that the power plug
is disconnected from the power socket.
Put ablanket or another soft underlay on the floor. Then place the convection heater
upside down on to this blanket.
On the underside of the convection heater there are 2 drilled holes on either side. Align
these holes with the holes in the feet A6 and, using the supplied self-tapping screws,
screw them to the underside of the convection heater – see figure B. Tighten securely.
Check that both feet A6 are correctly attached to the convection heater.
Turn the convection heater over and carefully put it down on the installed feet A6.
Check its stability on ahorizontal, dry and stable surface.
USING THE CONVECTION HEATER
Prior to first use, check that the voltage in your power socket corresponds to the
voltage on the rating label. Place the assembled convection heater on an even,
clean, dry and stable surface within reach of apower socket. Make sure that all safety
instructions are followed.
Insert the power plug into apower socket.
Turn the temperature control knob A4 clockwise to the position MAX. To achieve the
required room temperature as quickly as possible, set the maximum power level of
the heating elements. To set the maximum power output, set the switches A3 to the
position marked by the power output level 750Wand 1250Was shown in figure C.
This will turn the heating elements to maximum power output. The indicator lights on
the switches A3 will turn on.
In the event that you do not require maximum power output, alower power output of
750Wor1250Wmay be set by setting one of the switches A3 to the position marked
by the respective power level.
Note:
Upon first use or after it has not been used for an extended
period of time, aslight odour may be sensed or asmall amount
of smoke may be emitted from the convection heater. This is
completely normal and will quickly disappear.
When the desired temperature is reached and it is necessary to maintain it, turn the
temperature control knob A4 anticlockwise until you hear aclick and the indicator
lights of the switches A3 turn off. The heating elements will turn off. They will turn on
only once the ambient temperature falls. The heating elements will turn on and off
while the temperature is being maintained. This is indicated by the indicator lights on
the switches A3 turning on and off.
In the event that you wish to use the convection heater in the frost-protection mode,
set the temperature control knob A4 to the position MIN. The convection heater will
maintain the ambient room temperature above freezing point.
Always after finishing using the appliance, set the temperature control knob A4 to
the position MIN and set both the switches A3 to the off position and disconnect the
power cord from the power socket.
Using the timer
In order to use the timer function, it is necessary to set the power output and
temperature using the temperature control knob A4.
It is necessary to set the clock before setting and turning on the timer. Turn the timer
control knob A5 clockwise until the arrow points at the current hour.
Then set the central switch in the middle of the timer control knob A5 to position "I" (on).
There are a total of 96 pins in the inner part of the timer control knob A5, each
representing 15 minutes. To turn on the timer function, switch the individual pins away
from the centre. If you switch all the pins away from the centre, the convection heater
will run continuously.
Example: If you need to turn on the timer function from 6:00 p.m. to 10 p.m., switch all
the pins (total 16) between the numbers 18 and 22 away from the centre, and set the
others towards the centre. The convection heater will automatically turn on and heat
at the set power output level during the given time.
If you wish to turn off the timer function, set the central switch inside the timer control
knob A5 to position "O" (off).
If you need to reset the timer function, set the central switch inside the timer control
knob A5 to the middle position.
Thermal protection
The convection heater is equipped with double thermal protection – resettable
and non-resettable thermal fuse. The resettable fuse is activated and turns off the
convection heater in the event that it overheats.
In such an event, turn off the convection heater and disconnect the power cord from
the power socket. Allow it to cool down properly. After it cools down, the resettable
thermal fuse be deactivated and the convection heater can be put back into operation.
For reasons of increased safety, the convection heater is furthermore equipped with
anon-resettable thermal fuse as protection in the event that the first thermal fuse fails.
In the event that the non-resettable thermal fuse is activated, the convection heater
will turn off permanently. In such an event, please contact an authorised service centre.
