Sennheiser SI 30-2250 SINGLE Dimensions

General Description
Sennheiser offers system packages that include all components necessary to con-
figure a complete system. Sennheiser’s Medium-Area Infrared Systems provide
coverage of 1500 sq. ft. to 3000 sq. ft. in single channel mode. The SI 30 trans-
mitter and SZI 30 emitter are the primary components of the system. These are
powered by the NT20-4-120 AC power adapter and KKY20-015 octopus power
cable, which connects up to four SI30 and SZI30. For easy installation, the SI30
and SZI30 may be wall or ceiling mounted with the IZK20 mounting clamp and
IZM20 mounting hardware, in combination with the WM1 wall/ceiling mount. The
RI250 stethophone single-channel infrared receiver includes the BA151 recharge-
able battery, which conveniently recharges with the L151-10/NT charging unit
with power supply.

Architects Specifications
SI30–2250
The infrared system shall be modular and provide coverage for up to 2,250 square feet in single channel mode.
It must utilize a wideband infrared modulator with a nominal deviation of +/- 50 kHz. The carrier frequencies must be 2.3 and 2.8 MHz. The unit must
have a 3-pin Texas socket AF input with a 45mV-4V input voltage for nominal deviation. The AF frequency response must be 30-18,000 Hz, with THD
equaling less than/equal to 1%. The AF signal-to-noise ratio shall be greater than/equal to 60 dB(a) rms. The output impedance shall be approx. 50
ohms. There shall be 11 diodes. The maximum coverage area shall be approx. 80m, with a radiating power of approx. 0.5 W. The operating voltage
shall be 24-27 DC via 2-pin Texas socket. The current consumption shall be approx. 180 mA. The dimensions shall be approx. 4.64” x 0.98” x 3.54” and
weigh approx. 4.93 oz. The unit shall be a Sennheiser SI 30.
The SZI30 shall be an infrared emitter with a carrier frequency band that extends to 6 MHz RF input and RF output via 3.5 mm mono socket. The unit
shall offer excellent reliability due to 10 independent diodes. The unit shall offer a 24-27 V DC via 2-pin Texas socket. The unit shall weigh approx. 4.76
oz. The unit shall be a Sennheiser SZI30. Coverage: 750 sq. ft. in single channel mode (per emitter).
The power supply NT20-4-120 shall provide power for up to four SI30/SZI30, and shall have an output voltage of approx. 24 V DC and output current
of approx. 500mA.
The power distribution cable KKY20-015 shall connect up to four SI30/SZI30 to an NT20-4-120 power supply, and shall have an approx. length of 0.15
m, with four Texas plugs and one Texas socket.
The RF connection cable KR20-015 shall provide connection, via two 3.5mm jack plugs, of an SI30 to an SZI30 or for daisy-chaining two SZI30’s, with a
length of 0.15 m.
The SI30 and SZI30 shall be wall or ceiling mountable via the IZK20 mounting clamp with 3/8” internal thread. The IZM20 mounting kit shall contain a
3/8” and 5/8” internal thread for mounting two to four SI30 and SZI30. Every modulator/radiator must utilize one IZK20 mounting clamp. The WM1
shall provide wall or ceiling mounting via a mounting clamp with 5/8” external male thread, with a mounting plate diameter of 1 5/8”.
The single-channel infrared receivers shall be stethoset design with a carrier frequency of 2.3 MHz. The AF frequency response must be 18-18,000 Hz.
The receivers shall contain a rechargeable Nickel Metal Hydride battery, which can easily be recharged with the L151-10/NT charging device (with power
supply) for up to ten rechargeable batteries.
