1.General Description
Read thismanualcarefullybeforeoperation topreventdamageofthe
machine orpersonalinjuries.
SICC-A-R2seriesisapplicableforcoolingmouldstoreduceproduct’smolding
cycle. Theycan alsobeusedforequipmentcoolinginordertomaintainanormal
temperatureaswell asotherindustrialcooling.

1.1CodingPrinciple
1.2Feature
Standard configuration
lModularized designmakesiteasiertocombine moduleunits1to15.
Coolingcapacitycan beenlarged byincreasingthe numberofmodules
orchooseappropriatemodulestoconnect toexistingsystem.
lThewaterrouteof themodulescan be linkedbyone moduleconnecting
totheinlet/outlet watertube. Noneed toinstall the inlet/outlet watertube
foreachmodulealone.The rubbersoftpipe isusedtoconnectthe
modulesforconvenient construction.
lAdoptsimportedcomponentslikescroll compressor, expansionvalve
whichensurestableperformance.The wholeunit will not stopduetoone
modulefailure.
lWhen the wholeunit isrunning, the microcomputerwill autoadjustthe
performanceof eachmoduleoropen /shutrespectivemoduleunit
accordingtosystemload.Themoduleunitadoptsdoublecompressors
and itspoweradjustablerangeisenlarged aftercombination tosaveup
powerwheneverpossible.
lWiredcontrolsystemenablesthemainunitand itscontrollertobe
separated fromeachother.

handlingand servicing.Chapter6, whichcontainsserviceinstructionsintendedfor
serviceengineers. Otherchapterscontaininstructionsforthedailyoperator.
Anymodificationsofthemachinemustbe approved bySHINI inordertoavoid
personalinjuryand damagetomachine.Weshall not beliableforanydamage
causedbyunauthorized changeof themachine.

1.5 Exemption Clause
Thefollowingstatementsclarifiedthe responsibilitiesand regulationsbornby
anybuyeroruserwho purchasesproductsandaccessoriesfromShini
(includingemployeesand agents).
Shiniisexempted fromliabilityforanycosts,fees,claimsandlossescausedby
reasonsbelow:
1. Anycarelessorman-madeinstallations,operation andmaintenancesupon
machineswithoutreferringtothe Manualpriortomachineusing.
2. Anyincidentsbeyondhumanreasonablecontrols, whichincludeman-made
viciousordeliberatedamagesorabnormalpower,and machine faultscaused
byirresistiblenaturaldisastersincludingfire,flood,stormand earthquake.
3. Anyoperationalactionsthatarenotauthorized byShiniuponmachine,
includingaddingorreplacingaccessories, dismantling,deliveringorrepairing.
4. Employingconsumablesoroil mediathatarenotappointed byShini.

2. Structure Characteristics andWorkingPrinciple

2.1.1WorkingFlowInstruction
Coolingcirculation: thehightemp.highpressureair fromcompressor’shigh
pressuresprayingoutlet comesintofin-type-air side heatexchanger, which
works asacondensertocooldowntheair intoliquid. Thenit comesinto
expansion valveafterfiltration.There,afterapressuredownfall, it comesinto
shell -tubeevaporator.Thelowtemp. lowpressureandsaturated refrigerant
absorbstheheatfromcoolingwatertolowdownitstemp..Theshell -tube
evaporator’srefrigerant outlet islowtemp.lowpressureair state. Itthen comes
toair and liquidseparatorforseparation.Therefore,theair returnsthe
compressor’slow-pressureair suctioninlet toget compressed.Thehigh
pressuresprayingoutlet (compressor)→condenser(air sideheat
exchanger)→filterexpansionvalve→evaporator(waterside heat
exchanger)→air and liquidseparator→thelowpressureair suctioninlet.

3. Installation and Debugging
Note Beforeinstallation, pleasereadthischaptercarefullyandinstall
according totheprocedures as follows!
Install the waterchillernearwindowsorplaceswithgood air flowingbecause
air-cooled centralwaterchillerneedsagood heat-releasingcondition.Ifthe water
chillerisinstalled insidethefactory, thenthesurroundingtemperatureshouldnot
be higherthan35 and theremust havefanstomakeairflowflowfluentlyorair
tubepipingthehotair produced bywaterchilleroutside. If thewaterchilleris
installed outdoor,aveil isneededtocoverthetop ofthe chiller.
3.1InstallationNotice
1)Makesurethat voltageofelectricitymatcheswiththe nameplate.
2)Connect the electricitywireand earthwireaccordingtolocalregulations.
3)Useindependentelectricitywireand powerswitch.The diameterofthewire
shouldnotbeless thanthat of electriccabinet’swire.
4)The endoftheelectricitywireshouldbesafeand firm.
5)There-phaseelectricityand fivewiresareutilized. Connect thepowertolive
wire, (N) tozerowireand (G)toground wire.
6)Electricpowerdistributiondemand.
Mainpowervoltage: ±10%
Mainpowerfrequency: ±2%.
7)Install pipe worksystemaccordingtoschemeofwiring. Protect waterchilling
pipeswithhear-insulatingmaterials.
8)Makesurethat the diameterofthe recyclingpumppipeline notless than that
ofcondenser’sconnection tube. (Install theinlet oroutletpipelinesystem
accordingtothedrawingoftheassemblyline)Large-diametertube shouldbe
used toconnect tocoolingwaterforlong-rangetransmission.
9)The verytop ofthecoolingwaterrecyclingloop systemmustbe configured
withself-dischargingvalve, the lowest withdrainvalve.
10)Install filterinthe coolingwaterrecycingloop duetobadwaterqualityinthe
watersourceandwashthefilterat certaintimes.
11)Test if thepipeline leaks afterinstallation.Wrapinsulatinglayerontothe
coolingwaterrecyclingpipe toaviod loss ofrefrigeration capacityand
pipeline leakage.

3.2Select Installation Site
1)Noheat sourceexistencenearbytoacoidefficiencyreduction dueto
absorbinghotair.
2)Noimpact imposedbyhightemperature, vapororoil stain.
3)Avoidbeingspattered bywatervaporwhen choosinginstallation sitenear
coolingwatertower, sotoavoidanyshort ciruit orcreepage.
4)Properventilation without hindranceforair inhaledexhaled.
5)Noexistenceofinflammablesubstance.
6)Whenusingconcretebearingplatform,theplatformmustbefirmand flat.
Install shockprooofmat inthebolt of bearingplatformifnecessary.
7)Setapart someservicespace.Spacerangesarerecommendedasshownin
figure3-1.

3.3Bearing Platform
1)The unit shouldbeinstalledon concreteorsteelstructurebearingplatform
that isfirmand thesurfaceof thebaringplatformshouldbesmoothand flat.
Theintensityofthe platformshouldholdthewholeunit, iftheintensityisnot
strongenough, it iseasytocausevibrationand noise.
2)The surfaceofthe concretebaseplatformnormallyhascompo ashorizontal
ornament andwithwaterprooftreatment，the surroundingofit shouldhave
drainagesinkplaced,and theslopeangleshouldbe noless than0.5%，and
the slope shouldleadtodrainageoutlet.
3)Inordertomaintainquiet operationandprevent thevibration andnoise
transmissionfrominterferingthe underfloors，the absorbershouldbe laid
between the unitbaseand baseplatform. Pleasemaintainhorizontalwhen
install theunitandmountantivibration padwhen it isnecessary.
4)Inordertokeepconnectionpipefrombeing twisted tocrackbyearthquake,
typhoon,orbylongtimerunningcausedmovement. The fixationmethod
shouldbe takenintoconsideration,referstofollowingexamplesforplatform
installationandfixation

3.4Hangingand TransportingoftheUnit
1)Proposeplansofhangingand transportingbeforepractise,includingentering
dateforeachunit,dimensionsofappearance, weight, path,reserved holes,
hangingandtransportingdeviceaswell. Figure3-1showsthe details.
