Introducing the HDMI over CAT5e Transmitter
TheHDMI over CAT5e Transmitter providesacosteffective
solution by which high definition video and high quality
audio can be transmitted to mulitiple locations over long
distances using inexpensive CAT5e/6 cables.

• HDMI In LED: will light up when your HDMI
source is powered on and working properly
• DIP Switch: 1 = Off: use default EDID; 1 = ON: Learn
EDID from the display connected to HDMI Out;
2 = OFF: HDMI with 5.1ch/7.1ch audio mode;
2 = ON: HDMI with stereo audio mode
• HDMI In: connect your HDMI source via HDMI
M-M cable here (cable not included)
• Audio Out: 3.5mm audio jack, plug in your local
stereo speakers here
• HDMI Out: connect a local display here
• RJ-45 Out: link to the next transceiver/receiver
(optional) or remote display via RJ45 adapter. The
two LEDs will light up when the HDMI over CAT5e

Hardware Installation
Please read and follow the safety guidelines to protect
yourself from possible injury and to minimize the risk of
damage to your equipment.
• Do not attempt to service the unit yourself.
• Provide proper ventilation and air circulation, do
not use near water
• Keep objects that might damage the device a safe
distance away, place the unit on a stable surface.
• Use only the power adapter and accessories that
came with the unit.
• Do not use liquid or aerosol cleaners to clean the
unit. Always unplug the power to the unit before
cleaning.
1. Turn off all devices, including displays.
2. Connect a local HDMI display to the HDMI Out
connector of the HDMI over CAT5e Transmitter, then
connect a speaker to the Audio Out connector.
3. Connect an HDMI source, such as Blu-Ray disc
player, to HDMI In.
4. Connect the next transceiver (for cascading) or
receiver to the RJ-45 Out using a CAT5e cable
(optional).
5. Plug the included power adapter into the Power
Jack, then plug the power adapter into a reliable
power source.
6. Power on all devices.

Notes
1. Transmission length is affected by the type of LAN
cables, the type of A/V sources, and the type of
A/V displays. Test results show that solid LAN
cables (usually in 300m/1000ft form) can transmit
over longer distances than stranded LAN cables
(patch cords), shielded STP cables perform better
than unshielded UTP cables, and solid UTP CAT5e
cables show longer transmission distances than
stranded STP CAT6 cables. For users that require
long transmission distances, solid cables are your
best choice.
2. When sending resolutions greater than 1080i or
1280x1024, a CAT6 cable is recommended.

defective, an RMA number will be issued.
Step 2: After obtaining an RMA number, ship the product.
•Properly pack the product for shipping. All software, cable(s)
and any other accessories that came with the original package
must be included.
•Clearly write your RMA number on the top of the returned
package. SIIG will refuse to accept any shipping package, and
will not be responsible for a product returned without an
RMA number posted on the outside of the shipping carton.
•You are responsible for the cost of shipping. Ship the product
