CONTRA-INDICATIONS, WARNINGS & PRECAUTIONS
THE FLEX MINI by BMR is indicated for the improvement of gluteal muscle tone,
for strengthening of gluteal muscles and for the development of a firmer
bottom. It is suitable for use by all healthy adults; however, as with other
forms of exercise, some care is needed when using it. Always follow the
guidelines below and read the instruction manual before use. Some of the
points below are gender-specific.
CONTRA-INDICATIONS:
Do not use if:
• You have an electronic implant (e.g. cardiac pacemaker or defibrillator - as
it may interfere with the proper functioning of the implanted stimulator) or
suffer from any other heart problem.
• You have any other form of abdominal implant. The safety has not been estab-
lished for the use of electronic muscle stimulators over abdominal implants.
• You are pregnant. The safety of electronic stimulation over the pregnant
uterus has not been established.
• You suffer from cancer, as the effects of electronic stimulation on cancerous
tissue are unknown.
• You are under medical supervision for cognitive dysfunction, as you may
not be able to comply with safety instructions.
• The product is in close proximity (e.g. 1 yard) to shortwave or microwave
therapy equipment or you are connected to high-frequency surgical
equipment (e.g. diathermy), because of the risk of device malfunction due
to electronic interference.
• Wearing the device necessitates placement over areas at which drugs/
medicines are administered by injection (short term or long term)
e.g. hormone treatment.
WARNINGS:
• The long-term effects of chronic electronic stimulation are unknown.
• The product should not be used while sleeping, because you cannot react
to safety information.
Wait before using THE FLEX MINI by BMR until:
• At least 6 weeks after the birth of your baby (you must consult your doctor
before use).
• At least 3 months after having a Caesarean section (you must consult your
doctor before use).
• One month after an IUD contraceptive device (e.g. coil) has been fitted (you
must consult your doctor before use).
• The heavy days of your period have finished, because vigorous abdominal
exercise is not recommended at this time.
When applying the GelPads and garment, always remember to:
• Place the GelPads and THE FLEX MINI by BMR garment ONLY as indicated
in this manual.
• Avoid placing the GelPads or garment on the front or sides of the neck,
across or through the heart (i.e. one GelPad on the front of the chest and
one on the back), in the genital region or on the head, because of the risk
of stimulating inappropriate muscles and organs.
• Application of GelPads near the thorax may increase the risk of cardiac
fibrillation.
• Avoid any recent scars, broken or inflamed skin, areas of infection or
susceptibility to acne, thrombosis or other vascular problems (e.g. varicose
veins), or any parts of the body where feeling is limited.
• Avoid areas of injury or restricted movement (e.g. fractures or sprains).
• Avoid placing the GelPads directly over metal implants.
PRECAUTIONS:
• Caution should be used for patients with suspected or diagnosed epilepsy.
• THE FLEX MINI by BMR is not intended for medical use, for the treatment of
any medical condition or for any permanent physical changes.

• Caution should be used in the following:
- When there is a tendency to bleed internally following an injury or fracture.
- Following recent surgical procedures, when stimulation may disrupt
the healing process
- Over areas of skin which lack normal sensation
Get your doctor’s permission before using THE FLEX MINI by BMR if:
• You wish to use the product and have a bad back. You should also ensure
the intensity is kept low.
• You have any serious illness or injury not mentioned in this guide.
• You have recently undergone a surgical procedure.
• You take insulin for diabetes.
• You want to use it on a young child.
• You suffer from muscle or joint problems.
Adverse reactions:
• Skin irritations and burns have been reported with the use of powered
muscle stimulators.
• On very rare occasions, first-time users of EMS have reported feeling light-
headed or faint. We recommend that you use the product while seated
until you become accustomed to the sensation. Standing or lying down is
more comfortable at high intensities.
To reposition GelPads during a session:
• Always pause the program currently running, unfasten the garment and
then refasten it after the GelPads’ positions have been adjusted.
After strenuous exercise or exertion:
• Always use a lower intensity to avoid muscle fatigue.
Contact Customer Care if:
• Your product is not working correctly. Do not use in the meantime.
• You experience any irritation, skin reaction, hypersensitivity or other adverse
reaction. You should, however, note that some reddening of the skin is quite
normal under the GelPads during and for a short time after an exercise.
Note:
• An effective treatment should not cause undue discomfort.
Important:
• For first time users, muscle stimulation can be an unusual sensation. We
recommend that you begin in a seated position with low stimulation
intensity settings to familiarize yourself with the sensation before progressing
to higher intensity settings.
• Keep your controller out of the reach of children.
• The studs and GelPads must not be connected to other objects.
• Do not use your product at the same time as any other device which
transfers an electrical current into the body (e.g. another muscle stimulator).
• Do not touch the GelPads or metal studs while the controller is turned on.
• Do not use while driving, operating machinery or during any activity in which
involuntary muscle contractions may put the user at undue risk of injury.
• The belt is for single person use only.
• Cease using your product if you are feeling light headed or faint. Consult
your doctor if this happens.
• Do not over exert yourself when using muscle stimulation. Any workout
should be at a level comfortable for you.
• Although compliant with applicable EMC requirements, this device may still
interfere with more sensitive equipment, please move away or turn off.
• THE FLEX BELT will not accept responsibility if the guidelines and instructions
supplied with this product are not followed.

Congratulations on purchasing THE FLEX MINI by BMR. Please read your
user manual fully before using this product.
This revolutionary new concept allows a single hand-held controller to be
attached to a range of garments which tone different areas of the body,
saving you money on your next THE FLEX BELT purchase. THE FLEX MINI by
BMR uses clinically proven electronic muscle stimulation (EMS) technology
to exercise the muscles of your bottom. A signal is sent to the muscles
and as the signal strength increases, the muscles contract.
Use THE FLEX MINI by BMR 5 times a week and in just 8 weeks, you can
expect to see these results:
• Tones and firms your bottom (gluteal muscles)

INTRODUCING YOUR FLEX-MINI BY BMR PRODUCT
You should find the following parts inside your pack.
1. THE FLEX MINI Garment:
THE FLEX MINI by BMR garment has been ergonomically designed and is
fastened around your hips and thighs during use. The garment fits hips sizes
36”-45”. There is also a pocket to hold the controller during use.
2. Pack of Four Adhesive GelPads.
These adhesive GelPads are placed onto your garment before use. These
GelPads must be in contact with your skin so that signals can be sent to
your muscles.
3. Instruction Literature:
This is a detailed guide to using THE FLEX MINI by BMR and an additional
quick start guide to help get you started.

HOW MUSCLE STIMULATION TECHNOLOGY WORKS?
THE FLEX MINI by BMR uses electrical muscle stimulation (EMS) technology.
This technology has been used in hospitals and by physical therapists for
over 60 years. Here is a summary of how it works.

PRODUCT CONTROLS
1. On/Off Button ( )
Press and hold this button for 2 seconds
to turn your controller on or off. You may
also pause the exercise by briefly pressing
this button.
2. Increase Toning Intensity ( )
Press and hold these buttons to increase
the intensity of the exercise. The right-
hand button controls the right-hand side
of your garment. The left-hand button
controls the left-hand side.
3. Decrease Toning Intensity ( )
Press and hold these buttons to decrease
the intensity of the exercise on either side
of the garment.
4. Program Button ( P)
Press this button to select the toning program you wish to use. There are
4 programs in total, which are explained later in this manual (page 9).
5. Information Button ( i)
Press this button to see your training information, such as the maximum
intensity for your current or last session and the number of sessions you
have completed.
CONTROLLER DISPLAY
Toning intensity from the left-hand side of the garment.
Toning intensity from the right-hand side of the garment.
Counts down the time left in the current session. Also displays error
messages (see page 10).
Appears when the exercise has been paused.
Indicates that the sound is off.
Keylock is active - you cannot change the intensity levels or the
program accidentally.
This symbol indicates a poor contact between the controller and
garment or between the GelPads and your skin (see page 11 for
more details).
Shows the battery power remaining. The battery icon will flash
when the battery is low and needs to be recharged.
Number of sessions completed.
Shows the program currently running (1 - 4).
This symbol appears during each contraction phase.
Maximum intensity for the current/ last session.

SETTING UP YOUR PRODUCT
1. Insert your charger into a socket and then connect
it to your controller (Fig. a). It’ll take approximately 3
hours to fully charge the battery. Your battery is fully
charged when all three sections of the battery icon
are full.
NOTE:Only use the charger supplied with THE FLEX MINI.
Do not leave your controller connected to the charger
when the battery is fully charged.
2. Lay the garment on a flat surface with the metal
studs facing upwards (Fig. b). Remove the adhesive
GelPads from their pack. One side of each GelPad
has a grid pattern on it while the other side is black.
3. Remove the covers from the patterned side of the
GelPads (Fig. c), but do not throw them away, as you
may need them later. Do not remove the covers from
the black side of the GelPads yet.
4. Place the patterned side of each GelPad directly
over a metal stud and within the white lines (Fig. d).
Press the edges of each GelPad firmly onto the
material before use.
IMPORTANT:
Before you progress, make sure that all of the metal
studs are completely covered by the GelPads.
5. Remove the covers from the black side of the upper
GelPads. Position the wash label over your spine to
ensure the garment is centred correctly, wrap the
garment around your waist (Fig. e) and fasten it in
front of you.
6. Remove the covers from the black side of the lower
GelPads and fasten the leg straps tightly but comfort-
ably around your thighs (Fig. f). Ensure each GelPad
is positioned just below the crease of your bottom.
7. When the garment is correctly positioned, the
GelPads should be located as shown in Fig. g. The
patterned side of the GelPads must always be
placed onto the garment.
NOTES:
• You may need to adjust the position of the garment slightly until you find
the most comfortable position. However, the positioning will become
much easier after a few sessions.
• For the best results, we recommend that you do five training sessions
per week. You should, however, only do one session per day, as this
allows your muscles to recuperate.
• Use THE FLEX MINI by BMR whenever it suits you. You can use it almost
any time and any place. We recommend you use THE FLEX MINI by BMR
while relaxing at home. This really is a convenient way of firming and
toning your bottom.
• Standing or lying down is more comfortable at high intensities. 7

YOUR FIRST TONING SESSION
Muscle toning can be an unusual sensation, but a pleasant one. It may
tickle to begin with. We recommend that you use the product while seated
until you become accustomed to the sensation. This progresses to a
smooth muscle contraction as the toning intensity increases. To get started,
follow these simple steps:
1. ‘Click’ the controller connector and garment
connector together (Fig. a).
2. Press and hold the on/off button ( - Fig. b) for
two seconds to turn your controller on.
3. Select the program you wish to use by pressing
the program button ( P- Fig. c). Then, to start that
program, press and hold the increase intensity
buttons ( - Fig. d) until you feel your muscles
contracting. Always choose an intensity level at
which you feel a strong but comfortable contraction.
This will vary from person to person. You should
try to reach an intensity level of 25 or higher in
your first session. The increasing intensity level is
displayed on the screen.
4. Continue increasing the intensity throughout
the session if possible. You will feel the muscle
contractions getting stronger as the intensity
increases. Remember, the harder you work your
muscles the better the results you will see, but
always reduce the intensity if you feel any
discomfort. Your product’s intensity range is 0-99.
PAUSING A SESSION
If you wish to pause a session before it is finished, simply press the on/off
button briefly. The display will show that the session is paused ( ). To
resume the session, briefly press the on/off button again. The display will
return to its normal mode.
5. At the end of the training session THE FLEX MINI will stop automatically.
However, to switch off your controller at any time during a session, press
and hold the on/off button for two seconds. You should see the display
turn off.
6. To remove the garment, first undo the leg fasteners. Peel the GelPads
from your thighs and then remove the whole garment. Lay the garment
on a flat surface with the GelPads facing upwards and put the covers
back on the black side of the GelPads. Store THE FLEX MINI by BMR,
ensuring that the GelPads are kept flat, until your next session.
NOTE:Do not disconnect the controller from the garment without first
switching it off, as this may result in an error on your display.

GETTING RESULTS WITH YOUR PRODUCT
• Use the strongest training intensity you can - the harder you work your
muscles, the better the results you will see, but remember, the stimulation
should never be uncomfortable.
• Try to increase your toning intensity regularly. But do not over-exert yourself.
• THE FLEX MINI by BMR has 4 toning programs which are listed in the table
below. Program 1 is set when you switch your controller on for the first
time. The controller will then automatically progress through each program
after a set number of sessions.
You cannot change a program during a session. You must first turn your
controller off and then on again. Then you can select a different program
by pressing the program button.
30-DAY PLAN
To get the most from THE FLEX MINI by BMR, follow the 30 day plan. Use it
5 times a week for 8 weeks and record the highest intensity levels in your
diary. Each week you have two rest days. The diary below shows one
person’s plan, recorded during scientific testing over a 30-day period.
Each box shows the highest toning intensity from either side of the garment.
The intensity level will vary from person to person.

Fill-in your diary (which is inside the rear cover) every time you complete
a toning session. Leave this diary somewhere you will see it regularly. This
will help to motivate you to reach your goal. You will soon see and feel
that your bottom is firmer and more toned.
CARING FOR YOUR GARMENT
Your garment can be washed, but you must first remove the controller and
GelPads. Always follow the instructions on the label when washing the
garment.
Never machine wash your garment. Always hand wash in lukewarm
water. This protects the internal wiring from damage in the washing
machine. You should take care even when hand washing and never
wring the garment to remove water.
Do not use bleach when washing the garment.
Do not dry clean your garment.
Do not tumble dry your garment. Dry it on a flat surface. Do not dry
it over anything hot. (e.g. a radiator) as it contains plastic parts.
Ensure the garment is completely dry before using it again.
The garment should not be ironed.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS
Information Button ( i)
Press the information button (Fig. a) any time during
a session to see the highest intensity level you have
reached for that session. Pressing the information
button twice shows you the total number of sessions
you have completed. While pressing the information
button three times shows the garment type you are
using.
Mute Function ( )
If you want to turn off your controller’s sound effects,
press and hold the program button for two seconds
(Fig. b). The mute function remains active indefinitely
unless manually changed. Deactivate the mute
function by again pressing the program button for
two seconds
Keylock Function ( )
If you find a comfortable exercise intensity, press and
hold the information button for two seconds to lock
that intensity (Fig. c). This function only remains active
during the session in which it is activated. If you wish
to increase the intensity further, deactivate the keylock
function by again pressing the information button for
two seconds.
Error Messages
In the unlikely event of your product developing a
problem, “Err” will appear on your display (Fig. d).
If this occurs you should switch the controller off
and then turn it back on again. It should now
operate properly. If the problem persists, please

Battery Power / Replacing the battery
The battery icon on the display will flash when the
battery is low and needs to be recharged. After a
period of time, you may find that your battery will
only power your controller for a limited number of
sessions, requiring you to charge the battery more
frequently. This is because rechargeable batteries
have a limited number of charge cycles and may
eventually need to be replaced.
Should you need to replace the rechargeable battery,
remove the small rubber plug from the back cover of
your controller (Fig. e), unscrew the back cover and
remove it. Replace the existing battery pack with a
new battery pack (Fig. f) and replace the battery
cover. You can purchase a new battery pack by
contacting THE FLEX BELT Careline.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Can I use my product for post natal exercises?
• Yes, but you must wait a minimum of 6 weeks after childbirth before you
begin using it and you must consult your doctor first.
• If you’ve had a Caesarean in the past 3 months, consult your doctor for
approval before using the garment.
The stimulation is uncomfortable. How can I improve this?
• Make sure the GelPads are positioned correctly and that they are pressed
firmly against your skin (see page 7). Switch off the controller and reposition
the garment if necessary.
• You can also smear a few drops of water on the black side of the GelPads.
This can improve the comfort of the muscle stimulation, but be careful not
to get water on the controller. Ensure the controller is turned OFF before
you do this!
• Ensure the metal studs are fully covered by the GelPads.
My skin is red after the exercise. Is this a problem?
• Some redness of the skin after a toning session is normal. It is partly due
to an increase in the blood flow under the skin and should fade after a
while. You may also experience some reddening of the skin due to the
pressure of the garment. This is the same as the pressure marks you can
get from tight clothing. You should not be concerned about this. It should
fade soon after you remove the garment.
• If the redness is excessive, you may have the toning intensity too high.
This may increase the reddening in sensitive skin. Try using a lower toning
intensity for a few days. If the problem persists, you should stop using the
product.
Will the product cause muscle soreness?
• As with all exercise some muscle soreness can occur after using the
garment. This is normal and should go away after a day or two. Use a low
toning intensity for a few sessions if you are experiencing muscle soreness.
As the exercise is stronger when you are seated, some people find using
THE FLEX MINI by BMR while lying down more comfortable.
I can feel a tingling elsewhere in my legs. Is this normal?
• Yes. THE FLEX MINI by BMR product stimulates the nerves which control your
muscles. Stimulating the sciatic nerve can cause a tingling sensation in other
leg muscles and is perfectly safe as long as the sensation is comfortable.
How do I know when to replace the GelPads?
• With time the GelPads pick up skin debris and may need to be replaced
as this makes the workout less effective and less comfortable.
• You may notice the signal is weakening even if the batteries are OK. This
usually indicates that the GelPads are wearing and will soon need to be
replaced. You can check this by first adjusting the garment to ensure cor-
rect positioning of the GelPads. If the problem persists, try using the prod-
uct with new GelPads. If the signal is still weak or uncomfortable, you
should order a new battery pack.

I can feel the contraction on one side but not the other, what should I
do?
• If one side of your body is not receiving any signal, try the following:
1. Fasten the garment around your legs and waist more tightly to see if
that helps.
2. Pause the exercise, unfasten your garment and ensure all the GelPads
on the side with no signal are fully covering their respective metal studs
and are flat against your skin. Reposition any that are not flat against
both your skin and the garment, then fasten your garment tightly and
start the exercise again.
The GelPads are not sticking to the garment even though they are fairly
new. Can this be improved?
• Ensure the patterned side of each GelPad is always placed on the
garment. The black side of the GelPads should always be against your
skin. Press the edges of each GelPad very firmly onto the garment before
and after each session.
The signal on one side of my body feels different to the other. What
should I do?
1. If the signal is weaker on one side of your body, you can simply increase
the intensity button for that side to make the exercise stronger.
2. Ensure all of the GelPads are correctly positioned (see page 7).
3. You can also try tightening the hook & loop on the leg with the weaker
signal to see if the strength increases.
I can feel an uncomfortable sensation in my back. What should I do?
• If you feel the stimulus in your lower back, the upper GelPads are too
high and should be placed slightly lower. The top of the upper GelPads
should be just below the line where your bottom and back meet (see
page 7).
I have reached an intensity of 99 but want to get a stronger contraction.
What should I do?
• For a stronger contraction on the bottom, use THE FLEX MINI by BMR sitting
down. Tightening the leg fasteners may also help. Standing or lying down
is more comfortable at high intensities.
Battery performance has degraded significantly.
• After an extended period of time you may notice a degradation in the
performance of the battery in your controller. At this point you should
purchase a new rechargeable battery pack. New rechargeable battery
packs can be purchased by calling the Careline, or by visiting
www.theflexbelt.com.

Dear Customer,
Thank you for purchasing your THE FLEX MINI product ("Product"). To be
covered by this Limited Warranty, the Product must have been purchased
directly from Slendertone Distribution, Inc. ("SDI"), or its authorized retailer
in the United States. This Limited Warranty extends only to the original
purchaser and cannot be transferred to anyone. Please read this carefully
before using the Product.
Our Limited Warranty to you
SDI WARRANTS TO YOU, THE ORIGINAL PURCHASER, THAT UNDER NORMAL USE AND
SERVICE, THE PRODUCT WILL BE FREE FROM DEFECTS IN MATERIAL AND WORKMANSHIP
FOR APERIOD OF TWO (2) YEARS FROM THE DATE OF PURCHASE ("WARRANTY PERIOD").
IF YOU DISCOVER A DEFECT COVERED BY THIS LIMITED WARRANTY DURING THE
WARRANTY PERIOD, AND RETURN THE PRODUCT TO US, WE WILL REPAIR OR REPLACE
THE PRODUCT, AT OUR OPTION, USING NEW OR REMANUFACTURED COMPONENTS.
THERE IS NO WARRANTY OR CONDITION OF ANY KIND AS TO ANY DEFECTS DISCOVERED
AFTER THE WARRANTY PERIOD EXPIRES.
Certain Product failures not covered
This Limited Warranty covers defects in manufacture that arise from correct
use of the Product per the product manual and instructions. It does not
cover damage caused by abuse, misuse, accidents, modification or repair
by any person other than SDI, moisture, extreme heat or cold, corrosive
environments, high voltage surges from external sources or an unsuitable
power supply. This Limited Warranty does not cover normal wear and tear
on consumable items (e.g. GelPads, garments, etc.). This Limited Warranty
does not apply to any battery provided with the Product, or if the Product
has an altered or defaced serial number.
How to obtain service under this Limited Warranty
To obtain service under this Limited Warranty, please contact THE FLEX BELT
by BMR’s Customer Careline at (855) 353 - 9432 to obtain return instructions.
You must submit proof of purchase in the form of a bona fide, dated bill of
sale, receipt, or invoice (or copy thereof) evidencing that your request for
service is made within the Warranty Period.
Except as may otherwise be required by legislation in your State, SDI will
not be responsible for the cost of returning the Product or for any damage
to or loss of the Product while it is in transit to us. We recommend that
you use a carrier that will track your shipment and ensure the Product’s
safe delivery. SDI cannot accept any returns sent C.O.D.
THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IS THE ONLY WARRANTY FOR THE PRODUCT,
AND THERE ARE NO OTHER EXPRESS WARRANTIES, ORAL OR
WRITTEN, PROVIDED BY SDI. ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES APPLICABLE
TO THE PRODUCT, INCLUDING ANY WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY
OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE LIMITED TO THE
DURATION OF THE WARRANTY PERIOD SET FORTH ABOVE.
Limitation of Remedies
YOUR EXCLUSIVE REMEDY, IN LIEU OF ALL INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL,
CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, SPECIAL OR OTHER DAMAGES OF
ANY KIND, INCLUDING FOR NEGLIGENCE, IS LIMITED TO THE REPAIR
OR REPLACEMENT OF THE PRODUCT, IF DEFECTIVE, UNDER THE
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THIS LIMITED WARRANTY.
SDI will bear no other expenses.

SDI reserves the right to refuse to repair or replace the Product if it is
returned in an unsanitary condition. SDI reserves the right to substitute a
product of equal or better quality if an identical product is not available at
the time of replacement. This Limited Warranty is non-transferable.
Applicability of state law
Some states do not allow limitations on the duration of implied warranties,
or the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, and
so the related limitations and exclusions stated above may not apply to you.
Governing law
This Limited Warranty is valid in the United States only and is not applicable
in other countries. If you acquired the Product in the United States, the
laws of the State of New York will apply to this Limited Warranty.
THIS LIMITED WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS AND
YOU MAY ALSO HAVE OTHER RIGHTS, WHICH VARY FROM STATE TO
STATE.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
Caring for your controller
Your controller should not be allowed to get wet or be left in excessive sunlight. It
may be cleaned regularly using a soft cloth, lightly dampened in soapy water. Do not
allow the interior of your controller to become wet. Do not use detergents, alcohol,
spray aerosols or strong solvents on your controller.
Access to the interior of the controller is not required for maintenance purposes.
If your product is damaged, you should not use it but should return it to THE FLEX BELT
or your local distributor for replacement or repair. Repairs, service and modifications
may not be carried out by anyone other than qualified service personnel authorized
by THE FLEX BELT.
IMPORTANT:Under no circumstance should anything other than the correct type of
batteries – (rechargeable battery pack 3.6V NiMH) be used with your controller.

Disposing of the GelPads and batteries
Used GelPads and batteries must never be disposed of in a fire but in accordance
with state or national laws governing the disposal of such items.
NOTE:The signal gradually increases to a peak intensity level at the start of the
contraction phase (i.e. ramp up) and gradually decreases to nothing at the start of
the relaxation phase (i.e. ramp down). When the symbol is flashing, the stimulus
is significantly reduced.
Accessories:
You can purchase other accessories at www.theflexbelt.com. Under no
circumstances should anything other than BMR accessories be used with your
charger or controller (Type 390). Any others may not be compatible with your
product and could degrade the minimum safety levels.

\Description of your controller’s symbols:
There are a number of technical markings on your controller. These can be
explained as follows:
The product is manufactured for Bio-Medical Research Ltd,
Parkmore Business Park West, Galway, Ireland.
The controller requires 1 x 3.6 volt (NiMH) DC battery pack. DC is indicated by the
symbol:
The Output Frequency indicates the number of pulses per second transmitted by
the product. This is measured in hertz, which is indicated by “Hz”.
Output (RMSA) means the maximum output root mean square current for each
channel.
Output (RMSV) means the maximum output root mean square voltage for each
channel.
This symbol means “Attention, consult the accompanying documents”.
This symbol means type BF applied parts (GelPads).
SN stands for ‘serial number’. On the label on the back of the controller is the serial
number specific to this product. The letter preceding the number indicates the year
of manufacture, where “V” denotes 2016, “W” denotes 2017 etc.
The garment’s batch number is represented on the garment packaging, by the number
corresponding with the LOT symbol.
At the end of the product lifecycle, do not throw this product or batteries
into the normal household garbage, but bring it to a collection point for the
recycling of electronic equipment.

CONTRAINDICACIONES, ADVERTENCIAS Y PRECAUCIONES
THE FLEX MINI de BMR está indicado para mejorar la tonificación de los músculos
glúteos, fortalecer los músculos glúteos y desarrollar un glúteo más firme. Puede
ser usado por cualquier persona adulta saludable, sin embargo, tal como con otras
formas de ejercicios, se deben tener ciertos cuidados al usarlo. Siempre siga las
siguientes pautas y lea el manual de instrucciones ante de su uso. Algunos de los
siguientes puntos son específicos para usuarios de un determinado sexo.
CONTRAINDICACIONES
No utilice la unidad si:
• Tiene un implante electrónico (p. ej. marcapasos cardiaco o desfibrilador ya
que ello puede interferir con el adecuado funcionamiento del estimulador
implantado) o sufre de algún otro problema cardiaco.
• Tiene otra modalidad de implante abdominal. No se ha determinado la seguridad
de uso de estimuladores musculares electrónicos sobre implantes abdominales.
• Está embarazada. No se ha determinado la seguridad de una estimulación
electrónica sobre el útero de una mujer embarazada.
• Sufre de cáncer ya que se desconocen los efectos de la estimulación electróni-

• Se encuentra bajo supervisión médica por una disfunción cognitiva ya que
posiblemente no pueda cumplir con las instrucciones de seguridad.
• La unidad está muy cerca (p. ej. 1 yarda) de un equipo terapéutico de onda

ADVERTENCIAS

• La finalización de los días fuertes de su periodo menstrual ya que no se
recomienda un ejercicio abdominal vigoroso durante dichos días.
Al colocar los electrodos y el accesorio, siempre recuerde lo siguiente:
• Coloque los electrodos y el accesorio ÚNICAMENTE sobre su abdomen según
se indica en este manual.
• No coloque los electrodos o el accesorio delante o a las costados del cuello,
a ambos lados del corazón (es decir, un electrodo delante del pecho y otro en
la espalda), en la zona genital o sobre la cabeza porque existe el riesgo de
estimular músculos u órganos no adecuados.
• La aplicación de electrodos cerca del tórax puede aumentar el riesgo de
fibrilación cardiaca.
• Evite las cicatrices recientes, los cortes o las inflamaciones cutáneas, las áreas
infectadas o propensas al acné, la trombosis u otros problemas vasculares (p.
ej. várices) o las partes del cuerpo en las cuales la sensibilidad sea limitada.
• Evite las áreas lesionadas o de movimiento restringido (p. ej. fracturas o
esguinces).
• Evite colocar los electrodos directamente sobre implantes metálicos.
PRECAUCIONES:
• Se deben tomar precauciones para los pacientes con posible epilepsia o con
epilepsia diagnosticada.
• THE FLEX MINI de BMR no está destinado a uso médico, para el tratamiento de

Obtenga el permiso de su médico antes de usar THE FLEX MINI de BMR si:
• Desea usar el producto y sufre de dolores de espalda. También debería
asegurarse de que la intensidad se mantenga baja.
• Tiene una enfermedad o lesión grave que no se menciona en esta guía.
• Se ha sometido a un procedimiento quirúrgico en forma reciente.
• Usa insulina para la diabetes.
• Quiere usarlo en un niño pequeño.
• Si tiene problemas musculares o articulatorios.
Reacciones adversas:
• Se han reportado irritaciones de piel y quemaduras con el uso de estimuladores
musculares potenciados.
• En ocasiones muy poco habituales, al utilizar la EMS por primera vez, algunos
usuarios han informado de sensación de mareo o desvanecimiento. Le
recomendamos que se siente para utilizar el producto hasta que se haya
acostumbrado a la sensación. Con una intensidad fuerte, es más cómodo si
está de pie o acostado.
Para volver a colocar los electrodos durante una sesión:
• Siempre pause el programa que esté ejecutándose, desajuste el accesorio y
luego vuelva a ajustarlo por detrás de su espalda luego de haber ajustado las
posiciones de l os electrodos .
Luego de un ejercicio o esfuerzo agotador:
• Siempre use una intensidad menor para evitar la fatiga muscular.
Contáctese con el servicio de atención al cliente si:
• Su unidad no funciona correctamente. Mientras tanto no la use.
• Siente irritación, reacciones cutáneas, hipersensibilidad u otra reacción
adversa. Sin embargo, debe tener en cuenta que cierto enrojecimiento de la
piel es totalmente normal debajo del cinturón durante el ejercicio y luego de
un corto periodo luego del ejercicio.
Nota:
• Un tratamiento efectivo no debe provocar molestias excesivas.
Importante:
• Para los usuarios por primera vez, la estimulación muscular puede ser una
sensación extraña. Recomendamos que empiece con una posición sentada
con una intensidad de estimulación baja para familiarizarse con la sensación
