The TigerSwitch 10G (SMC8724-10BT) is the newest generation of Ethernet Switches utilizing cutting edge
technology to deliver high availability performance and density from a 10GBASE-T solution today. Featured
with 20 ports of 10GBASE-T and the flexibility of 4 XFP ports for distance connections, the SMC8724-10BT
enables Ethernet adoption across various LAN Applications including performance networking and storage,
aggregation points, and Campus environments among other areas. The IEEE802.3an compliant switch
delivers full 100m reach on all 20 ports, enabling the next generation datacenter to have the bandwidth
of 10G with the flexibility of low Total Cost of Ownership available using a copper solution. The feature set
includes industry standard features delivering a truly flexible solution when combined with SMC’s 10G NIC
family. Performance and ease of use are built into this solution and sets the standard for the market to follow.
