stationwithsignalcoveragetoyourhouse,orthecoveragedirectionisfacingyou,
andthecoverageareaisclosesttoyou.

basestation,includingthe

Havinganaccuratemeasurementofsignalstrengthindecibels(dBm)iscrucialwhen
installingyoursystem.Decibelsaccuratelymeasurethesignalstrengthyouarereceiving.
Note:Turnoffyourcellphone’sWiFitoensureyouarecheckingthecellularconnection.
ThedBmreadingwillberefreshedevery30‐60seconds.Wantfasterresults?Onceyou
haveareading,turnonairplanemode.Wait15seconds.Turnoffairplanemode.The

Step1:SelecttheLocationfortheOutsideUnit
Note:Thisisthemostcriticalstepandwilldeterminetheoverallperformanceofthe
boostersystem.
1. Generally, the strongest signal will be located on the side of your home facing the
nearestcelltower.Keepinmind,thesignalstrengthatgroundlevelmaybe
differentfromthesignalstrengthatorabovetherooflineduetoobstructions
(trees,otherbuildings,etc.)thatblocktheincomingsignal.Inmostsituations,the
strongestsignalisfoundabout25feetabovethegroundonthesideofyourhome
facingthenearestcelltower.
2. Themostidealinstallationpositionisthecornerofthebuilding,choosetheone
facingyourcelltower.

WeSTRONGLYrecommenddoingatestinstallationbeforefinalizingtheinstallation.
Doingatestinstallationofyourcellphoneboosterensuresthatyouwillgetthe
optimalperformancefromyoursystem.

Step2:TemporarilyMounttheOutsideAntenna
Inadditiontothefourcornersofthebuilding,thechimneyandthepoleabovetheroof
canalsobeselected.Aslongastheinstallationdistancebetweenindoorandoutdoor
antennasismaintainedenough,satisfactoryresultscanalsobeachieved.
Useoneofthethreeoptionstomounttheoutsideantennaonyourroofonthesideof
thehousewiththestrongestsignal.
Theheightoftheoutsideantennashouldneverexceedthehighestpointofyourhouse.
Thisisaprecautionagainstdamageandsafetyconcernscausedbylightningstrikesto
theoutsideunit.

Caution
Treeswillgreatlyattenuatewirelesssignals.Iftherearetalltreeswithin100feetofthe
house.Atthesametimeyoucan'tfindastablesignalabove3bars,theoutdoor
antennaneedstobeerected60%(atleast)to80%(best)ofthetreeheight.Never
exceedthetrees!
ButaccordingtoFCC
regulations,outdoor
antennaheightcannot
exceed30feet.
Atthesametime,ifthe
antennaexceedstheroof,
pleasepayattentionto
lightningprotection
measures.
Outdoorantennamustbeinstalledovertheroofline.

zero)thantheoriginalreading,yourboosterisworking.
•Ifyoursignalisnotstronger,checktheLEDlightsontheboosterandrefertothe
“TroubleShooting”onpage17fordetailinformation.

recordis‐105dbm.Sotheimprovementis:
‐90dbm‐(‐105dbm)=15db

How tovisuallyconfirmthatyourinstallationiseffectiveandcorrect?
Note1:Indailylife,thesignaldbmreadingsofourmobilephonesrangefrom‐70dbmto
‐120dbm. Because it is a negative number, the smaller the number, the greater the
signalstrength.
Note2:Inthecaseofnoproblemswiththe installation,thestrengthoftheindoorsignal
dependsentirelyonthestrengthoftheoutdoorsignal.

OutdoorAntennaInstallation
Makesurethattheoutsideunit ismountedatleast3feetawayfromanywindows.

mounttheoutdoorunitintheoptimal
signallocation.Usethepicturefor
reference.
Onceyouhavetestedtheperformanceofthe signalboosterandmadeallnecessary
adjustments,it’stimetofinalizetheinstallation.

Inparticular,cablesforoutdoorantennalocations
mustbefixed.Otherwise,theinternalwiresofthe
cablewillbepulledoffafterthewindhasbeen
shakenforalongtime.Theamplifierwillnotreceive
thesignalandthesystemwillfailcompletely.
Asshowninthefigure,itisbesttohavethecable
aroundasingleturnshapeandthenfixit.

•Whetherthecableisproperly
securedisveryimportantforthe
entiresystem.Inmostcases,the
customerfoundthatthebooster
didnotworkafterworkingfora
periodoftimebecausethecable
wasnotinstalledsecurely.
•Carefullyarrangethecablealong
theoutsideofthebuildingand
ensurethattherearenofoldsor
kinks.Fixthecableateachcorner.

Thepanelindicatorisflashingorsolidgreen:
1. BoosterhasCPUinside,itwilldothe
“Oscillation”testeverytimeafterpoweron.
WhenitdetecttheOscillationishappening,it
willlowerthegainoftherelativeband1dB.
Andthentestagain,seeiftheoscillationis
cancelled.Ifnotitwillloweredthegain1dB
again.Thiscyclewillcontinue.

stopped.Thestatusindicatorwillflash1~15timesfor2cycles.

stopped.Thestatusindicatorwillflashallthetime.
4. IftheCPUcannoteliminatetheoscillationafterreducingthegainby25dB,itwill
shutdownthecorrespondingbandtostoptheoscillation.Thestatuslightwill
solidred.

If you have oscillating issue, at the same time, due to the structure or size of the
house,yourinstallationcannotkeepenoughdistancebetweenindoorandoutdoor
antenna.Pleasesetupyourindoorantennainthe“blindarea”,thatwillincreasethe
isolationgreatly.Effectivelysolvetheproblemofoscillation.
Whenyoudothis,youroutdoorantennamaynotrightfacingthecelltower.Thatis
fine.Pleaseunderstandthatanydirectioninthemainbeamareawillbethesame
reception.Remember,theantenna'sforwardhorizontalmainbeamisabout90
degrees.

couplingbetweentheindoorand
outdoorantennas,improvethe
stabilityofthesystem.Installing
theoutdoorantennaabovethe
roofcanformalargeisolation
areabetweenthetwoantennas.
