heitsbestimmungen für Elektro-

• Um Schäden und Gefahren
durch nicht ordnungsgemäßen
Gebrauch zu vermeiden, ist die
Bedienungsanleitung zu be-
achten und sorgfältig aufzube-
wahren!
• Bei Weitergabe des Gerätes an
andere Personen ist auch die
Bedienungsanleitung mit zu

• Bei Beschädigung des Netz-
kabels darf dieses nur durch
den Hersteller oder eine vom

Gefahr durch
Überspannung!
Die Netzspannung muss
mit der eingestellten Span-
nung (V) auf dem Gerät
übereinstimmen. Bei falscher
Einstellung kann es zu Funk-
tionsstörungen kommen
bzw. kann das Gerät zerstört
werden und somit Gefahren
vom Gerät ausgehen. (Be-
achten Sie die Position des
Spannungsumschalters f .)
• Das Gerät nur an Wechsel-
strom, an eine Schutzkontakt-
steckdose anschließen. Netz-
kabel dabei nicht über scharfe
Kanten ziehen, einklemmen
oder herunterhängen lassen.
Netzkabel vor Hitze und Feuch-
tigkeit schützen!
• Vor jeder Inbetriebnahme
das Gerät auf einwandfreien
Zustand kontrollieren, es darf
nicht in Betrieb genommen
werden, wenn:
- die Zuleitung beschädigt ist
- das Gerät sichtbare

Sicherheitshinweise bei
der Bedienung des Gerätes
• Verwenden Sie das Gerät
bestimmungsgemäß!
• Dieses Gerät kann von Kindern
ab 8 Jahren und darüber und
von Personen mit reduzierten
physischen, sensorischen oder
mentalen Fähigkeiten oder
Mangel an Erfahrung und/oder
Wissen benutzt werden, wenn
sie überwacht oder unterwie-
sen wurden, bezüglich des si-
cheren Gebrauchs des Gerätes
und die daraus resultierenden
Gefahren verstanden haben.
Kinder dürfen nicht mit dem
Gerät spielen. Reinigung und
Benutzerwartung dürfen nicht
durch Kinder ohne Überwa-
chung durchgeführt werden.
• Verpackungsmaterialien, wie
z.B. Folienbeutel gehören nicht
in Kinderhände!

Achtung! Gefahr durch

Das Gerät nicht mit nassen

Waschbecken benutzen.
Sollte das Gerät dennoch
einmal ins Wasser fallen, so-
fort den Netzstecker ziehen.
Keinesfalls ins Wasser grei-
fen, wenn das Gerät noch
angeschlossen ist!
Achtung! Gefahr durch

Wenn das Gerät in einem
Badezimmer verwendet wird,
ist nach Gebrauch der Ste-
cker zu ziehen, da die Nähe
von Wasser eine Gefahr dar-
stellt, auch wenn das Gerät

• Das Gerät im Betrieb nie auf wei-
che Kissen oder Decken legen!
• Gerät und Netzkabel nicht
auf heiße Flächen wie Herd-
platten o.ä. stellen bzw. legen
und nicht in direkte Nähe von
offenen Flammen bringen!
• Um Beschädigungen des
Haares zu vermeiden,

Ddicht an das Haar halten!
• Während des Betriebes die
Luftansaug- und Austrittsöff-
nung nicht abdecken!
• Gerät während längerer Un-
terbrechung des Trockenvor-
ganges abschalten!
• Das Gerät ist mit einem Über-
hitzungsschutz ausgerüstet,
der bei Überlastung (z.B. wenn
Luftaustritts- oder Ansaugöff-
nung verdeckt wird) abschal-
tet. Sollte das Gerät während
des Betriebes abschalten, den
Stufenschalter bitte auf «0»
stellen und ca. 5 Minuten war-
ten, dann erneut einschalten!
• Wir empfehlen den Einsatz
eines Fehlerstromschutzschal-
ters (FI-Sicherheitsschalter), um
einen zusätzlichen Schutz bei
der Verwendung von elek-
trischen Geräten zu gewähr-
leisten. Es ist ratsam, einen
Sicherheitsschalter
mit einem Nennfehlerbe-
triebsstrom von maximal 30
mA zu verwenden. Fachmän-
nischen Rat erhalten Sie bei
Ihrem Elektriker.
• Der Netzstecker ist zu ziehen:
- bei Störungen während
des Betriebes
- vor jeder Reinigung
- nach dem Gebrauch

Inbetriebnahme und
Anwendung
Vorbereitung der Haare
• Waschen Sie Ihr Haar und trocknen Sie es
gut ab.
• Kämmen Sie Ihr Haar gründlich durch,
benutzen Sie kein Haarspray oder andere
chemische Haarpflegeprodukte die leicht
entflammbar sind.
Gerät auf die vorhandene Netzspan-
nung einstellen
Achtung! Personen -
und Geräteschutz!
Informieren Sie sich an Ihrem Aufent-
haltsort über die vorhandene Netz-
spannung! Die Netzspannung muss
mit der eingestellten Spannung (V) auf
dem Gerät übereinstimmen.
• Stellen Sie den Spannungsumschalter f
bei gezogenem Netzstecker auf die vor-
handene Netzspannung ein.

Funktionsstörungen!
Bei einer Netzspannung von 110 V
und einer geräteseitigen Einstellung
von 230 V kommt es zu Funktionsstö-
rungen – das Gerät erreicht nicht seine
volle Leistung.
Überlastung!
Bei einer Netzspannung von 230 V und
einer geräteseitigen Einstellung von 110
V kommt es zu Funktionsstörungen –
das Gerät läuft zu hochtourig, überhitzt
und kann zerstört werden. Verbren-
nungsgefahr! Ziehen Sie sofort den
Netzstecker, schalten Sie den Stufen-
schalter auf «0» und lassen Sie das
Gerät ca. 5 min. abkühlen.
Stellen Sie das Gerät auf 230 V um,
schließen Sie das Gerät wieder an das
Netz an und schalten Sie es erneut ein.
Sollte sich das Gerät nicht mehr ein-
schalten lassen – bzw. keine warme Luft
mehr erzeugen, ist das Gerät nicht mehr
funktionstüchtig.
Haare fönen
Ihr Gerät ist mit einem 2-Stufen-Temperatur-
und Luftmengen-Schiebeschalter c ausgestat-
tet. Zum Einschalten und zur Regulierung der
Temperatur und Luftmenge betätigen Sie den
Schalter c . Für gezieltes Styling der Haare,
Ondulierdüse a auf die Luftaustrittsöffnung
aufsetzen.

Mit dem 2-Stufen Temperatur- und Luft-
mengen-Schiebeschalter c können Sie das
Gerät einschalten und die gewünschte
Temperatur mit der entsprechenden Luft-
menge wählen.

• Débranchez l’appareil si vous
interrompez le séchage pen-
dant un temps assez long !
• L’appareil est équipé d’une
protection anti-surchauffe, qui
met l’appareil hors tension en
cas de surcharge (p. ex. lorsque
les ouvertures de sortie d’air ou
d’aspiration sont recouvertes).
Si l’appareil se met à l’arrêt
en cours de fonctionnement,
placer le commutateur à paliers
sur «0» et attendre environ
5 minutes avant de remettre
l’appareil en marche !
• Nous recommandons l’emploi
d’un dispositif de protection
à courant différentiel résiduel
(commutateur de sécurité FI)
pour garantir une protection
supplémentaire dans l’emploi
d’appareils électriques. Il est
conseillé d’employer un com-
mutateur de sécurité avec un
courant nominal d‘erreur de
30 mA au maximum. Vous
trouverez des conseils professi-
onnels chez votre électricien.

Préparation des cheveux
• Lavez-vous les cheveux et essuyez-les
bien avec une serviette.
• Démêlez soigneusement vos cheveux,
n’utilisez pas de laque ou autres produits
de soin capillaire chimiques qui sont
facilement inflammables.
Régler l‘appareil sur la tension de
secteur locale
Attention ! Sécurité des
personnes et des appareils !
Renseignez-vous sur la tension de
secteur habituelle du lieu de votre
séjour ! La tension de secteur doit
concorder avec la tension réglée (V)
spécifiée sur l‘appareil !
• Régler le commutateur de tension f sur
la tension de secteur correspondante
lorsque l‘appareil est débranché.

Dysfonctionnements !
Apparition de dysfonctionnements
dans le cas où l‘appareil est réglé
sur une tension de 230 V et que la

l‘appareil ne fonctionne pas à pleine
puissance.
Surcharge !
Apparition de dysfonctionnements
dans le cas où l‘appareil est réglé
sur une tension de 110 V et que la
tension de secteur correspond à 230 V
: l‘appareil fonctionne à régime suré-
levé, surchauffe, ce qui peut entraîner
sa destruction. Risque de brûlure !
Débrancher immédiatement la
prise du secteur, mettre l‘interrupteur
coulissant sur «0» et laisser l‘appareil
refroidir pendant env. 5 min.
Régler l‘appareil sur 230 V, rebrancher
la prise de ce dernier au secteur et re-
mettre l‘appareil en service. Si la mise
en marche de l‘appareil s‘avère impos-
sible, ou bien si l‘appareil ne génère
plus d‘air chaud, ce dernier n‘est plus
en ordre en marche.
Pour se sécher les cheveux
Votre appareil est équipé d’un interrupteur
coulissant à 2 positions c . Pour la mise en
marche et la régulation de la température
et du débit d’air, actionner l‘interrupteur
coulissant c . Pour un modelage parfait des
cheveux, fixer l’embout concentrateur asur
l’orifice de sortie d’air.

Safety instructions when
connecting the appliance
• This appliance complies with the
recognized rules of technology
and the pertinent safety regula-
tions for electrical appliances!
• To avoid damage or danger by
improper use, the instructions
for use should be carefully kept
and followed!
• If you give the appliance to
another person then you
should also supply them with
the instructions for use!
• If the supply cord is damaged,
it must be replaced by the
manufacturer, its service agent
or similarly qualified persons in
order to avoid a hazard.
Warning! Operator and
appliance protection!
Risk of burns! Overvolt-
age hazard!
The supply voltage must match
the set voltage (V) specified
on the device. If the setting is
wrong, malfunctions may occur
or the appliance may even be
destroyed, thus danger emanat-
ing from the appliance. (Please
observe the position of the volt-
age selector switch f .)
• Connect the appliance only to
AC current and to a socket with
earthing contact. Do not pull the
cable over sharp edges, clamp
it into place or allow it to hang
down! Keep the cable away
from hot and damp areas!
• Before use check that the
appliance functions properly!
The appliance should not be used if:
- the connecting cable
is damaged
- the appliance shows
noticeable damage
- the appliance has been
dropped
• Never wind the mains cable
around the appliance!
• Only insert the mains plug when
the appliance is switched off.

Safety instructions when
operating the appliance
• Always use the appliance for
the appropriate purpose!
• This appliance can be used by
children from the age of 8 up as
well as by persons with reduced
physical, sensory or mental
abilities or with lacking experi-
ence and/or knowledge, if these
persons are supervised or have
been instructed how to use the
appliance in a safe way and
have understood the hazards
which could arise from using it.
Children must not play with the
appliance. Cleaning and user
maintenance must not be
carried out by children unless
they are supervised.
• Keep packaging material e.g.
plastic bags out of the reach
of children!
Warning:
Do not use this
appliance near bathtubs,
showers, basins or other
vessels containing water.

Risk of electric shock!
Never use the appliance with
wet hands, in the bath or
shower or over a filled wash-
basin. If the appliance falls
into water, remove the mains
plug immediately. Under no
circumstances reach into
the water when the applance
is still connected to the
power supply!

When the hairdryer is used
in a bathroom, unplug it
after use since the proximity
of water presents a hazard
even when the hairdryer is
switched off.
• Never put the appliance on
soft cushions or blankets
during operation!
• Do not place the appliance or
the connecting cable on hot
surfaces e.g. cooker or similar or
in the vicinity of open flames!
• To avoid damaging of the hair
the air outlet should not be too
close to the hair!
• Do not cover the air intake or
air outlet during use!
• Make sure that you switch
off the appliance when not in
continuous use!
• The appliance is fitted with
an overload protection which
switches off in the case of an
overload (e.g. air outlet or intake
is blocked). If the appliance
switches off during use, please
reset the graduated switch to
«0» and wait for approx.
5 minutes. Then, switch on again!

• For additional protection, the
installation of a residual current
device (RCD) having a rated
residual operating current not
exceeding 30 mA is advisable
in the electrical circuit supp-
lying the bathroom. Ask your
installer for advice.
• Remove the plug from the mains:
- if the unit does not function
properly
- before cleaning
- after every use
• Do not pull on the connecting
cable and do not carry the unit
by means of the cable!

cleaning and maintenance
• Always disconnect the appliance
from the mains and allow the
appliance to cool down before
cleaning and maintenance, or if
faults occur during operation!
• Do not use the connecting
cable to pull on the plug nor
remove the plug from the
socket with wet hands!

Initial use and operation
Preparing the hair
• Wash your hair and dry it well.
• Comb your hair thoroughly. Do not use
hairspray or other flammable chemical
hair care products.

Warning! Operator and appli-
ance protection!
Please inform yourself about the local
supply voltage! The supply voltage
must match the set voltage (V) speci-
fied on the device.
• Set the voltage selector switch f to the
local supply voltage whilst the mains
plug is disconnected.

Malfunctions!
If the supply voltage is 110 V and the
appliance setting is 230 V, malfunc-
tions will occur - the appliance will not
operate at full power.
Overload!
If the supply voltage is 230 V and the
appliance setting is 110 V, malfunc-
tions will occur - the appliance will
operate at too high a speed, over-
heat and may be destroyed. Risk
of burns! Pull out the mains plug
immediately, reset the 2-step slid-
ing switch to «0» and let the appliance
cool down for approx. 5 min.
Set the appliance to 230 V, reconnect
it to the power supply and switch
on again. If the appliance cannot be
switched on again or does not produce
warm air, the appliance is no longer
operative.
Drying hair
Your appliance is fitted with a 2-step tem-
perature and air volume sliding switch c . To
switch on and regulate the temperature and
air volume activate switch c . For precision
hair styling fit concentrator nozzle a onto
the air outlet opening.
