Welcome
Thank you for purchasing the Sonoma Breeze®. Our uniquely
designed air cleansing process will vastly improve the quality of
the air you breathe and will transform the way you think about air
purication. Our technology has been tested by Lawrence Berke-
ley National Laboratory, National Aeronautics and Space Admin-
istration (NASA), Center for Disease Control (CDC), Federal Emer-
gency Management Administration (FEMA) and The California
Air Resources Board. The technology housed within the Sonoma
Breeze® has been designed to target formaldehyde, a volatile or-
ganic compound used in many industries. Additionally, it will safely
remove other air contaminants such as dust, mold spores, pet
dander, viruses, bacteria, and harmful volatile organic compounds
(VOCs). Unlike other air ltration systems our technology removes
air pollutants without emitting hazardous material such as ozone.
Every space is different, and the speed that your Sonoma Breeze®
cleanses the air is related to the size of the room and the rate that
VOCs are emitted into the environment. Our distributors are able
to calculate the Sonoma Breeze®product best suited for your en-
vironment using our research data. We have included this data as
well as important health and safety information in this manual.

Design and Function
What’s included
• 1 air purier
• 1 power cord
• 1 screw driver
• 2 Ultraviolet lights
• 3 PCO cores or TCO cores
• 4 Pre-lters
The Sonoma Breeze®SB-100 is comprised of one front load-
ing Macro-Particulate Filter, two germicidal UV lamps, three
PCO- Purier Cores or TCO-Purier Cores, three Flow-Netic
fans and an proprietary formaldehyde and VOC sensor
system. Our Macro-Particulate Filter coated with activated
carbon absorbs dust, pollen, smoke and particles 3 µm or
larger. The PCO-Purier Cores and TCO-Purier Cores are
responsible for removing harmful VOCs such as formalde-
hyde. The dual- functioning germicidal UV-lamps destroy
viruses and bacteria and simultaneously activate our PCO-
Purier Cores. The ultra- quiet, long-lifespan Flow-Netic fans
pull the polluted air through our cleansing system deliver-
ing uncontaminated air on the other side. Our system is
equipped with four VOCallic sensors that detect humidity,
temperature, a broad spectrum of volatile organic com-
pounds and formaldehyde.

Keeping track
There is a VOC LED display located next to the fan knob and
below the status lights. This monitor indicates both VOC levels and
formaldehyde levels present in the environment. Formaldehyde
and other volatile organic compounds are measured in parts per
billion (ppb), a measure of 1000 ppb is equivalent to 1 part per mil-
lion (ppm). Refer to the illustrations below.

Control your Speed
In the automatic mode the fan speed is determined by the
VOCallic sensors, and will adjust according to the level of formal-
dehyde in the environment. If you would like to manually adjust
the fan speed, the fan speed knob is located at the back of the
unit next to the VOC LED display. Turn the knob clockwise to de-
crease the speed of the fans. Turn the knob counter- clockwise to
increase the fan speed and set the fans in automatic mode. *(you
should hear a click when the knob reaches the automatic position)

Time for a service
In order to keep your Sonoma Breeze® functioning optimally it is
essential to replace the lters and UV lights when they begin to
deteriorate. How quickly each part deteriorates is dependent
on the air pollution as well as the usage. We suggest that you
replace the Macro-Particulate lter every 3-4 months, the Ger-
micidal UV lights and the PCO-Purier Cores/TCO-Purier Cores
once every year.
CAUTION: Always disconnect power before service

Troubleshooting
Q. I opened the unit while it was operating...
A. For your safety we installed a safety mechanism that
disables the fans if opened while in use. Turn off the power,
close all access panels, and turn the unit on.
Q. A yellow status light is illuminated...
A. You did not shut an access panel door completely.
Turn off the unit and close all access panel doors. Restart the
unit.
Q. Why is the red status light lluminated?
A. There is an internal problem. Contact your distributor.
Q. Why have the formaldehyde levels not diminished?
A. The unit you purchased is not capable of keeping up with
the off- gassing in the given space. Increase the ventilation in
the room and contact your distributor.
Q. I plugged in and switched on the unit but it will not oper-
ate...
A. The power outlet is not functioning. Turn off the unit and
plug the unit into another outlet or press the GFI reset switch-
located on the wall outlet. Check fuses.
Q. There appears to be an odor generated by the unit...
A. The formaldelyte lter absorbs a variety of VOCs from the
environment and re-releases these chemicals as harmless
byproducts when in the presence of UV.
Q. Should I turn my unit off at night?
A. No, once you turn on your air purier you should keep it run-
ning 24/7. If you would like to quiet the fans, simply turn the fan
knob clockwise. It will purify the air more effectively when oper-
ated in this manner.
