Notes on use
• Do not lea ve t he lens exposed to the sun or a bright li ght source. Internal
ma
lfu nc ti on of the camera body and lens, or a fire may result due to th e effe ct of
light focusing. If circumstances necess it ate leavi ng the lens in sunlight, be sure to
attach the lens caps.
•
Be ca r efu l not to subject the lens/teleconverter to mechanical shock while
attaching
it.
• Always pl ace the len s caps on the lens fteleconverter wh en sto ri n g.
• Do not keep the lensfteleconverter in a very humid place for a long period of
time to prevent mold.
•
Do not touch the lens contacts. If dirt, etc.,gets on the lens co ntacts, it may
interfere or prevent the sending and receiving ofsignals between the lens and the
camer
a, re sulting in operational malfunction.
Condensation
Jf your lens is brought directly from a cold place to a warm place,
condensation may appear
on the lens. To avoid this, place the lens in a plastic
bag
or something similar. When the ai r tempera tur e inside the bag reaches
the
surrounding temperature, take the lens out.
Cleaning thelens
• Do not touch the surface of the lens directly.
• lf the lens ge ts dirty, brush offdust with a lens blower and wipe with a soft, clean
cloth (Cleaning Cloth
is recommended).
• Do not
use any organic so lvent, such as thinner or benzi ne, to clean the lens or

he camera co ne.
