Sony Projector Extended Shutdown Guidelines
Shutdown, Maintain and Restart Sony Projectors

Prior to Shutdown

SRX-R220/320
Exhaust Fan
•Turn off exhaust fan
LMT-200/300- Lithium Battery
•Confirm BATTAlarm is not lit before shutdown
•If BATTAlarm is on, replace the BATT

SRX-R515
Exhaust Fan
•Turn off exhaust fan
XCT-S10/XCT-M10 Lithium Battery
•Confirm BATTAlarm is not lit before shutdown
•If BATTAlarm is on, replace the BATT

SRX-815 Chiller
Option 1 (In case of distilled water only)
•Drain the projector and leave dry until restarting theater operations
Option 2 (Recommended)
•Leave coolant and distilled water in the projector during extended shutdown
•Run the projector for 2 hours a week during shut down
Option 3
•Leave coolant and distilled water in the projector during extended shutdown
•Don’t touch the projector during extended shutdown
Option 1 and 3: Risk of black image change. Readjust by PCAB

Screening Check
• Check DCP
Dust
•Check around the intake port and lens
•Clean around the lens with air
３D convergence check (Single&DS)
•Check and adjust
HDD condition
• Confirm that there is no error on the Status screen
•If there is no 1.7TB (around 10MB), contact Sony NOC to perform RAID
initialization. RAID builder->RAID Formatter

Screening Check
• Check DCP
Dust
•Check around the intake port and lens
•Clean around the lens with air
３D convergence check (Single & DS)
•Check and adjust after adjusting the room temperature appropriately

SRX-815 Chiller
Distilled water only
1. Inject distilled water and run for 15 minutes → check flow rate and filter
visually (Check for dirt)
2. If dirty, perform the manual cleaning according to TN (DPPJ19-210)
Start operation if not dirty (strongly recommend to add Nybrine Z1 coolant)
Coolant (Optishield)
•Run for 15 minutes → check flow rate and filter visually (Check for dirt)
•If dirty, perform the manual cleaning according to TN (DPPJ19-210)

SRX-R815 Projector
Screening Check
• Check DCP
•Check black image (0% image by PGUUT)
•If any issue on black image, readjust Black & Dark UF after taking picture
(except optical compensator adjustment)
• Dust
•Check around the intake port and lens
•Clean around the lens with air
３D convergence check (Single & DS)
•Check and adjust after adjusting the room temperature appropriately according
to TM (DPPJ18-075)
