Instruction
1 Make sure the loopback cable is connected on the rear panel of the
Vertex instrument.
2 Connect the AC power cords to all instruments.
3 Plug the AC power cords into the wall outlet.
4Plug the Vertex instrument directly into the wall outlet on an individual
branch circuit.
5 Switch on the Vertex instrument.
6SwitchonXD5-A.
7SwitchonXD5-B.
8 Ensure each instrument powers up properly.
Applying Power to the System
ATTENTION!
Perform the following procedure after you have
completed all cable routing.

Instruction
1 Ensure the AC power cords are NOT connected to wall outlets.
2 Ensure the XD5s are configured as XD5-A and XD5-B.
3Connect the cables by following the instructions on the following pages.
4 After the cables are connected, power up the equipment according to
the instructions provided in the " Applying Power to the System" table
below.
